Medieval 2 audio lag

Hi guys!I installed Medieval II Total War today and I came across a very annoying problem.I`m experiencing an audio lag on the campaign map.I set everything to low,no Vsync.no Bloom,no Reflections.When I do battles everything is going until at some poing I get an audio lag,a sound like a buzz and then comes a big video lag.I`m playing this game on a low budget laptop.My specifications are:Intel Celeron N2840 2.16 ghz(dual core),the video card is incorporated,3 gb Ram,500 gb Hdd,Windows 8.1 32 bit.I`m looking forward for your advice.(Sorry for my poor English).

Do you ever experience any other audio issues with your computer?

If it's not a hardware problem, it could be a driver problem. See if you can update your sound driver, perhaps.

I haven't experienced sound issues with my PC and I updated my sound card two days ago.
