Fardin don't say like that. You might get banned.

BTW I wanted this thread to be a little less political than the last ones I visited. Which is why I don't ask too many hard political questions. Because in this case no one will change their mind.
    Favourite Iranian city anyone?
I can't decide between Shiraz, Qazvin or Isfahan.... hmmmm Masshad is cool too.

For my Last word before my long absence I apologize for for my misbehave in some cases.I said Holocaust is a lie because it has nothing to do with muslims and it's not a proper reason for establishing Israel in muslims lands.

Yes,I'm sorry.I was angry a bit.I was hoping this too but when some people tried to ruin the thread with their poisonous words I could not stop defending my country from Accusations of some people.
If you say my words does not changes the minds of these people about Iran,I stop the political debate and I'll ask my friends to do it too.We will continue the discussions about Iranian culture, people, history and Shia ideology and our 12 Imams so My friends will continue to share more information about these subjects.I ask from the moderators to avoid political words from now on.

Can't remember what that first one is. The last one is Isfahan.
Scratch Qazvin from my list. I like Masshad, Isfahan and Shiraz more.

I think that would be best. Though I just don't want to get involved in political arguments in here. If you guys want to that is fine. Just that I don't think anyone will change their minds over anything with this thread.

You get arrested if you're too obviously happy or gay.

Isfahan, by far. Together with Istanbul and Samarkand, they are the most magnificent cities of the Islamic world.

Well, Tehran Mary, who looked rather happy and slightly too manly for her female nature, with that threatening weapon, was not arrested. On the contrary, I doubt that her freedom would be guaranteed under the imperial regime.

Point being that the oppression in Iran is essentially dictated by what the Iranian government perceives as a threat to the establishment and the official interpretation of morality, social ethics, foreign and internal affairs (aka the state propaganda concerning pretty much every aspect of the Iranians' life). Reaction to "obscenity" and the officially endorsed puritanism is just the pretext, exactly like the protection of the Shiites in the Middle East is basically the equivalent of the Western claims about propagation and installation of democracy in the same region.

Iran is not like that.women are sacred in our culture. Here Prostitution is an unacceptable act and its not bcause of law of islam or government, but its forbidden in our culture, anyway still very small number of people(who are under influence of your culture)do such of things,in secret.and you must forget about the wine really, because its also made by minority west follower.

It is actually very persian to drink wine. Not very islamic republic of iranish or whatver you call yourself. Especially since one of the greatest poets of Persia (Hafez), constantly wrote about wine and love (probably what he meant by easy woman).
Shiraz wine is now produced in australia, where not long ago it had been produced for centuries and even more in Iran. Don't think you would dare to think about Hafez as good poet. Would probably bring your world crushing down.

How has it come so far? One of the leading people in culture and science, have to deal with government of clowns not wearing any underwear.

This thread shows a sad picture of Iran.

The majority of the Iranian people after accepting Islam didnt keep doing forbidden things like drinking wine and adultery and lechery and other things that are valuable in the Westernized world. Moreover, the government doesnt have any work with what people are doing in their privacy.(people are free to do what the ... they want in their home and in their privacy, but they're just banned to drink wine or adultery and some few works else in socity). Also what you wrote about the greatest Persian poets is make me laugh and it shows that you know a little about them or maybe your impression of (wine and love) in Iranian poetry is apparent meaning. We read and study poems of our poets and their biography(In all branches of education)and we know them better than any western guy who thinks he (or maybe she) knows so much.In addition, you dont have to measure picture of iran by what you think that it should be.Also it apeared to me that you are too brainwashed and its useless to argue with you about misconceptions of Iran.

no thanks i prefer my wine and women, and i hazard a guess your iranian women would also like wine and women.

    also,
    how do you explain
The literature of Persia (modern Iran) fairly abounds in references to male ... of men and women for sins, among them passive and active same-sex sodomy, but also ... intercourse with women is healthier in winter, with young men in summer.
    source: https://books.google.com.au/books?id...winter&f=false

basically in iran it's more accepting of un-islamic sodomy in summer and straight sex in winter?
then what's the deal with forcing gays to undergo sex changes?
