To Buy a Golden Cloak
Jonos Bracken walks into the meeting he had called among some of the higher ranked commanders of the gold cloaks. He who controlled the gold cloaks controlled the city, and these were the men he would need if he would control the gold cloaks. Some had been loyal to their previous commander, but Tully was dead and gold did a funny thing to even the most honorable mans loyalty.
"Gold evening my good Sers," Bracken begins. "I have come here tonight with an offer," He pulls out a sack of gold, "King Blackfyre intends for me to be your next Commander. I have come here to ask your support in this matter." He claps and servants come out with more gold, "To ensure this support I have brought you fine gentlemen gifts. 50,000 Dragons, 30,000 for your personal use and 20,000 to distribute to the men." He pauses watching to see their reactions. "I reward men who serve me well." As he understood it Tully relied on honor and duty to win supports. Those were all well and good in Jonos's opinion, but Honor and Glory did not feed a mans family.

Re: To Buy a Golden Cloak
1-6 they decline the offer
7-15 they ask for more
16-20 they accept
roll: 16
The goldcloak officers commune among themselves in hushed tones, eyeing the coins with greed. Eventually, they come to a consensus, taking the gold as a symbol of their acceptance for their new commander.

Re: To Buy a Golden Cloak
Jonos smiled, "I am glad you are all reasonable men." Honor and duty was one thing, but give a man gold and he would be yours. He had work to do.
