A military council is called in light of Bywater's militia being late to their mustering. Daemon begins to wonder if something is wrong.

A rider arrives from house Whent, sent after the defeat at Riverrun, carrying a letter from lord Whent.

Your grace, the Riverland forces have been defeated by the Lannister army at Riverrun. However, I am told an army from Freys and the North rides to relieve the siege of Riverrun.

    Signed, Lord Robert Whent.

Daemon sits at a camp made by the keep of Bywater; his soldiers all bloodied and battered from the hard fight at Bronzegate. Though they had taken heavy losses, so did the Baratheons, but the worst casualty came in the form of his deceased commander, Moryn Tyrell. First Derrick and Lashare and now Moryn. His list of supporters and commanders was running thin. Surely support for Baratheon would grow today and make his chances of victory grow even less. For a time, Blackfyre kept to his tent and his thoughts, pondering upon what options he had left. His eyes sometimes glancing back East, wondering if it would be prudent to retreat and fight another day.

OOC: Any of the Blackfyre commanders can jump in here.

Tom was in his tent, guarded by layers of Golden Company guards. Within the rent the old blue bearded cutthroat was surrounded by slave woman tending to his needs and surgeons treated his wounds with care. His leg had been sown back together and all the peices that had come out had been put back inside. The bellowing calls for wine could be heard outside the tent from time to time.

The tent flap opens as Daemon walks in, noticing that Tom's condition was at least stable now. He doesn't glance at the slave women nor surgeons, but his absence of his look was enough to tell them it was time to leave. They all bowed, departing the tent for now as Blackfyre grabbed a seat and set it near Tom. He quietly pours a large cup of wine before handing it to Tom.

Clearly you need better servants if you keep screaming for wine, Tom.

Empty and shattered bottles lined the floor of the tent, Tom often drank but was rarely drunk - at least not visibly so. But he was now. It's the ing air in this cursed country, makes the slaves feel like there that close to "freedom". He took the chalice from Daemon. How many we lose this time? He questioned words noticeably slurred as he took a large gulp of the cup's contents.

    Around ten thousand soldiers...

Daemon leans back in the chair, looking at a random direction for now. His mind lost to his thoughts for a moment.

We are at a tough juncture now with these grievous losses. I may have no choice but to attack Baratheon once more.

We're good and ed. Tom nodded in agreement. But I didn't crawl back from hell to die here, not just yet. He pushed himself up in his seat with a deep grunt. What word from Moryn's people, the shee ers in the mountains, and those gold loving priks too? He couldn't remember their names, these Westerosi and their "houses" but he recalled they once "fought" for two heads.

Daemon doesn't stop Tom from rising nor moving. If he tried, the pirate would likely tell him to back off.

No word from the Vale, the Reach nor the Westerlands. I hear that the Lannisters are attacking the Riverlands while the Reach is in favor of us now.

The Vale's silence was truly disturbing to Daemon. Surely, by now, they supported Baratheon or were keeping out of this war.

We have new troops from Bywater here, adding little to our present troops. If we return to King's Landing, we may return to its walls surrounded. I saw no Dornish at Bronzegate, making me wonder if they retreated for a time and it is clear they support Baratheon. We need to smash Baratheon and capture him, or else we will have to abandon the capital and join up with the Reach troops.

The Blackfyre ponders slightly on their situation.

I would hate to do so, but we are losing troops with no nearby source of recuperating our losses.

Moryon died for that city. Tom replied polishing off his wine. Derrick, Maelys, Lashare too. Are we to abandon it without a fight?

Daemon looks at Tom and shakes his head.

I don't plan to give it up. But with you out of commission for a time and my other notable commanders in the same position, I am in a tough spot.

Blackfyre rises to his feet, looking at the blue-haired pirate.

I plan to send you and others back to King's Landing so that you may recover. I will move the army South once more to attack Bronzegate.

that boy, you're stuck with me. Tom protested. If you die this cause dies and I'll have to flee across the sea with whatever's left.

Daemon scoffs slightly before laughing a little. Stuck with Tom? That was a pleasant thought. Then Blackfyre nodded back towards King's Landing.

I still got two boys no one in Westeros knows exists, Tom. And they will need support as well. Just as you gave me your support. I already lost Moryn, Derrick and Lashare. My cause would die if you did.

A messenger arrives from Harrenhal. He asks at which location is a rendezvous of his troops with yours possible.

Tom laughed as well, a bellowing chuckle low and short. I'm sure it would you little . Tom spoke to his friend, not to the King he sat on the Iron Throne. It won't be so easy to raise a Kingly army a third time my friend. Tom replied knowing he'd do whatever he could. Even should I take them and flee I might not be alive long enough to serve as their father, I've lost too many brothers to see you die as well. There was little Tom could do, Daemon had went from an unsure prisoner to a confident King, Tom was his most die hard supporter, the commander of his most important army, his friend, a mentor.. perhaps even something like a father, but he couldn't decide his fate.. not now, not anymore.

With no words from his scouts, Blackfyre digs in around King's Landing and prepares for what is coming.

OOC: Timestamped for pre-Battle of King's Landing.

With the scout's return not forthwith, Daemon prepares the defenses of King's Landing for an inevitable siege. Matters needed to be done and tasks assigned. The first and foremost of those involved Larraq, Pyre, Tom and his wife, Serra. Thank the Seven his sons were left in Tyrosh, but they were the future and no one knew of their existence. They needed to be kept safe and their future assured no matter what. He looks at Tom, who had recently recovered from his injuries.

Tom, you have been my most loyal and longest supporter in this endeavour. From the very beginning. I ask, once more, that you join my wife and head east from the fleet at Dyre Den. My sons will need support just as I did.

Larraq and Pyre came next as his attention turns to them after speaking with Tom.

I ask that you two join those moving to Dyre where the fleet is free enough to circumnavigate our position and move for Tyrosh. My wife and sons will need all the support they can get and I feel that Baratheon will ensure your deaths.

Finally, he turns to his wife, Serra.

Go back east. I will have some troops escort you away with those supporters I can persuade to follow you. Dyre Den is where a fleet awaits you. Get to Tyrosh and ensure our sons rise to prominence and their future is secure.

Eventually came the Brackens, Lord Boremund and his son. They would have a special task on their hands.

Tom hobbled in for his meeting with Daemon. I should be fighting. The lame monstrosity protested. And if we must flee, there's still time to make a break for it - all of us. He grumbled under breath.

OOC: I didn't see that lol
