The hosts of Wickendend appeared. On its head rode Ser Artys Waxley, the knight commander. He looks to the mighty hosts before changing his head towards the young falcon, as he was called. "Aye, its a mighty host we have here." he said. "Were would you like to command us to? Have you declared for one of the kings?" he wanted to know. Arryn had not spoke about one of the pretenders to him. A fact he quite disliked, they were supposed to be kin now.

OOC: Yup, already edited it in, while I will do the final army number tomorrow.
Now that this is clarified, will check tomorrow what Alexandrine offers me numberwise and otherwise can start to RP out this thing.

The young Lord eyed Waxley with a short nod, while it was Ser Denys who spoke.
"Due to marital bounds and our loyality towards the Faith, we will fight for Baratheon, as he is the only legitimate claimant", he replied towards Waxley, "However, compared to last time the Vale rode into war, we will be more careful while striking when the enemy won't be prepared for us falling into his back. As Lord Jon tasked me with leading the host, we hope the Waxleys to command as well one of the important flanks, along with Ser Frey and Lord Waymar. We will give you further details, once we can make a move upon Blackfyre and his forces."

    Heavy Infantry: 1900
    Light Cavalry: 1900

By the calculator it would be 760 Polearms, 760 Heavy Infantry and 380 Heavy cavalry, as I only raised my militia forces as well.

(aye. Not looking good, but well - most likely it will end in a defensive war at some point anyways.
And I have financialwise at least economy to train troops.)

"I follow you, Lord Arryn. I shall command the men of House Royce into battle, including my lady cousin's troops." Waymar affirmed, eyeing the Waxley carefully. They were kin now, but Ser Royce trusted few men but his own sons.

The Lord nodded again, before his protege turned towards the present Lords and knights.
"Gentlemen, in eyes of the upcoming conflict and after a discussion with Lord Jon himself, I would also wish to inform you, that we agreed on Lord Arryn defending the Vale while it will be on our side to aid House Baratheon, given the news about the capital", Ser Denys Arryn began, "As my lord can confirm, it was on my behalf suggesting this, as Lord Jon wished to proof himself in battle, especially in the eyes of the king."
"Ser Denys is right, as I... I might be sixteen namedays old and able to lead forces into battle", Jon himself continiued, a bit nervous as he neither knew what reactions he would earn for this speech, "and honestly, I wish I could be the battleexpierienced Lord, the Vale needs now to proof the king and our enemies, that my legacy is not the one of my father.
Yet, I am aware that my lack of experience regarding battles might make you and my vassals uncomfortable. We all know the tales of young men like one Lord of House Blackwood, who fought already with twelve years his enemies during the War between the Green and the Black, but my uncle might be right that would be the best to remain at your back mylords, while reinforcing you. The Riverlands have declared themselves independent, no words spread from the West and the Reach, while the King struggles against the pretender. Given our position we need to know our allies, while I promise you to defend the homeland against any invaders, who try to surround us."

    Confident he eyed Ser Denys.
"Uncle, Lord Waymar Royce, Ser Stevron Frey - it will be you, whom I trust with the high command over this host", he continiued then, a bit worried, "If... should any brave commander die, I wish Ser Artys Waxley to fill his spot.
Along with our Sentinel and steward Ser Gareth Stoneborn we shall hold the position and reinforce you, once we can be certain of the Vale being safe.
I hope that you might understand my decision, as I regret it myself to be the young Lord, who was held captive years ago and who had to hide in the Eyrie along with his brother and sister - yet I have grown and hope you see, why I stay back. Someone has to stay to defend the families - and against Blackfyre and his company, we need the most experienced men at the frontline. That's why you were chosen.
    To fight for the Vale."

He then looked over towards Ser Stevron.
"In case our forces make contact with the Freys, we would yet wish to parlay with your family, Ser Stevron", he then added, "I neither want our Houses to fight eachother due to Tully having different interests than the King, while I am not aware for whom Lord Walder will ride. Time will show, but as long as King Steffon does not command us to ride against my relatives-by-bounds-of-marriage, we wish to treat the Riverlands as neutral as possible. Only ride against Blackfyre-affilated forces."

OOC: In short, this means that Ser Denys, Ser Stevron and Lord Waymar Royce will be the main flank commanders regarding the main host.
Lord Jon will stay back, for mentioned reasons + traitwise it would be unreasonable as well. Since his only child is currently a daughter, we neither want to endanger the House of Arryn even more.
Tarth and Waxley will also be present, while I will tell them via PM, on which flank they shall fight, once a battle is started.
Rest of tactics will be discussed via PM, unless there's major RP reasons of why to oppose my decision or suggest something else.

ooc: 7 hours from now it might be openned.

    Lord Arryn:

Baratheon is the sole and rightful ruler of Westeros, we have been informed of your support towards his Grace. We march through the Riverlands, to Darry. There we might link our armies and smash every enemy of Baratheon's cause. Lord Lefford will secure the crossings for your Lordship.

OOC: How does Lannister know that I declared for Baratheon? I neither send letters, only got letters from Baratheon.
Only Tarth knows that I declared for Baratheon, while same goes for the Vale.

If this knowledge spreads that easily, I would as well know that Lannister attacks the Riverlands.

Stevron Frey bowed to Lord Arryn "My Lord, the political situation is almost more complicated than this old knight could comprehend. It appears Tully initially wished to make safe the Kingdom by declaring himself as Lord Protector until such time as a rightful king would present himself. Lannister, taking this to mean Tully declared himself King, attacked the Riverlands. My Brother, Walder, has likewise declared for Baratheon, but he is boung by both honor and familial ties to defend the Tullys, and he know marches against the Lannisters. It would appear that ally figthts ally..." He drew a breath. "I seriously doubt any lord of the Riverland supports Blackfyre, but they are forced to defend their lands against Lannister invasions." Stevron looked out to the host he was to take primary command of. He was prepared, at the height of his strategic career, and yet he knew that this situation had grown beyond his control. He would have to wield his influence to ensure calmer heads prevailed, not only for House Frey at large, but for the Vale as well.
