    Default HELP: How can I edit Buildings resources requirements?

    hi Guys! Firstly I have to apologize about my bad english

    well this is my problem:

    I'm trying to "change / remove" the needed resource to build some buildings; i.e: no need for iron to build some high level millitary buildings, and also i want to add some resources requirement for another buildings (i.e: taverns of some cultures need wine)

    is there any table that i should edit? I've explored the DB with de PFM but i cant find any clue about what I trying to do xD. Maybe I'm just skipping a keyword that I dont understand :S

    those changes are part of a little mod that I'm trying to make to change a little bit the importance of those unawared resources, for example: how can you train some Wolf hunters (radious units pack mod) if your empire has not acces to skins resource?? how could you build a tavern (or some other similar buildings) if you dont have wine? raising up a wood walls without Wood?

    I'm trying to make two versions:
    one with HIGH dependancy of the available resource (so if you CANT import or produce wood, iron, and some other resources you wouldn't be able to get far from mid game buildings and units)
    and the another with lesser dependancy on resources (or almost no need) -- this is just for fun and try to see how AI develop large armies with high

    Hi dude! Your english is actually pretty good, i haven't noticed anything wrong
    So i hope i'm still of help, cause you posted already a while ago, but here's the table you'll need to edit : building_levels_tables
    If you go right you'll see a column called "resource requirement" a blank case means no resource needed and there you can enter any existing resource name you want such as res_rom_timber for wood for example.
    If you wanna know anything else i think i would be able to help you as i've already worked on resources

    oh dude ill try it! very thanks you for the help! ill try to make my best with this little project but this will take so many time because im right now finishing my tesis (i dont know if this is the right word, i mean the university grade work :S)

    Well i don't know if that's the right work in English but as i'm French we call it a "thèse" in my country so yes i understand what you mean
    Good luck for both modding and university matters!
    And anyway i'm glad to be able to help others as i have been stuggling a lot to get the little modding knowledge i've got after 2 years playing that game xD (didn't know TWC and tutorials when i started modding experiments lol)
