Some data in melee_weapons seem to have no effect.
Hello everyone, since I discovered the modding tools for Total War Warhammer I am happy to modify a lot of the stats of the units in the game. Yesterday i steped on some wierd things in the melee_weapons table. I made all tests that followed with the Zombie Dragon against 4 Units of Imperial Swordsmen. I changed weapon_length, splash_attack_max_attacks and splash_attack_power_multiplier in several ways and combinations. For me it seemed that the effect of those stats have no real influence on the fighting abilities of the dragon. I changed the stats to absurd values but the result was nearly the same. My starting test values where weapon_length=3 (vanilla); splash_attack_max_attacks=10 and splash_attack_power_multiplier=1. I changed it up to weapon_length=20; splash_attack_max_attacks=100 and splash_attack_power_multiplier=50 and the effect on the battle was negligible. I also used more realistic values but it was surprisingly uneffective.
For me it seems that there are some other mechanics in dragon vs inf fights that influence the battle outcome. Maybe some stats only work in a small area like splash_attack_power_multiplier between 0.0 and 2.0. I dont know and I currently dont have the time to test every single combination. So I ask some of you more experienced modders outthere how those stats work.
