    Default Escape from the Capital

Upon word that a huge, alien fleet is spotted making its way into Blackwater Bay, Lord Baratheon gathers all his belongings and retainers, and moves to escape through the Lion Gate, and move south back to Storm's End.

(If this needs a roll, then go ahead, if not, I don't mind)

Ooc: it really depends on how much warning was given. Our movements are sort of sloppy. I think there should be another roll to determine how nuch notice: hours, days, etc.

OOC: Yeah, I agree there, but they are coming from the sea, and Baratheon is escaping by land, unless they come up the Blackwater Rush people should be able to leave from the north and the west relatively okay.
But if there's a roll that needs doing, I'd happily subject myself to that

Ooc: I don't rrally see you needing a roll but for any sort of defensive strategymaking then we need to be more specific. Do the crownlands have any time to raise forces? I don't think so but then I don't know. Does getting notice only mean characters have time to escape?

(Well, I suppose it would grant you a few days warning, at most, not enough time to raise militia. But it would allow the characters within the capital to at least prepare for the battle and not be taken completely by surprise, perhaps being able to fortify the mud-gate, or maybe scramble some of the royal ships)

OOC- Just to post this somewhere

Warrick said his farewell to Lord Stark when word of the invaders reached them, he moved to leave the city and rally the Riverlands.

Lord Stark said his goodbyes to Warrick, though promised he would soon be following him in leaving the capital. The vast and once densely populated city was now a barren ghost town with massive parts either burned or falling into disrepair. Zealots after Northmen blood patrolled the streets. Even after all he'd done in the name of duty and honor.. They seemed to hate him. He and his retainers began packing to leave, he would not fight another battle for these maniacs that already tried to see him slain once before. He sent men after Lord Dustin to ready the departure and others after Criston Tully.

Criston Tully makes his way through the city after being summoned. He finds the Northmen where he was directed and bows to Lord Stark. He omits names in the midst of all things,
Lord, you've done much for this city. I am loath to see you go, but I can handle the rest.
He said with a dutiful look.

I have done all I can Criston, but with all that has cone to pass I cannot ask my friends to shed blood and die for people who have seen them bloodied and beaten in the streets. He placed a hand on Tully's shoulder. I can trust you to do what you can. I can only hope it is enough.

I do not know what strength lay inside me, but I will hope to keep this city standing as best I can. I hope to see you soon, either here or, whatever gods might be the true gods, in their halls following death.
Criston placed his hand on Starks chest and nodded, Family, Duty, Honor.

It was then that Lord Dustin came with his household men and a quizzical look,
    Who's the boy?
    He asked

Criston Tully.. Stark replied absently. One of my good brothers, and one of the few southerners I'd name friend. He turned to Dustin. Are you ready to make for Winterfell? I've sent Ravens calling for the other lords of the north to meet us there.

Aye, let's go. We can't spend too much time here. Dustin replied nodding to Criston.
