(If someone could quote me on how much the royal treasure will have to spend, be my guest)
Almost as soon as the Small Council meeting was adjourned, Baratheon had sent for the best builders he could find throughout the Capital and the Crownlands in short notice, and had paid them using the royal treasury to rebuild the Great Sept of Baelor. Goldcloaks buzzed about the smouldering ruin along with labourers, guarding the proceedings from the crowds, as the burnt rubble was cleared away. Any useful stone would be re-used, for the Sept had only been partially destroyed. Thankfully, the gardens that surrounded it remained mostly intact, although the statue of Baelor himself had been scarred by the flames. It would take considerable effort to restore the Sept, but it could be done, and was certainly necessary for the restructuring of ties between the Faith and the Crown.
