Speaking to the Faith

As the gates to the holdfast opened and the drawbridge was lowered, a party of men rode out from the Red Keep, accompanied by a formidable escort of Goldcloaks. Lord Baratheon rode in full plate armour and his sword sheathed across his back, accompanied by the majority of the lords that remained in the keep; Lord Stark, Ser Tully, Lord Velaryon and Maegor Targaryen all were part of the group, moving through the city towards what remained of the Great Sept. Crowds formed as they rode through the city, some enraged, most curious at what had occurred. They had heard the king was dead, but nothing else, and the Goldcloaks formed a living shield from the crowd.
As they approached what remained of Baelor's Sept, they halted, hoping that a senior figure of the Faith may be present to open negotiations with.
