Plan to catch up Dorne
We're going to sort-of "timeskip" Dorne, and retroactively apply some certain things to have happened IC to get Dorne into a position where it's not awkwardly making posts every couple of days.
----- First: Martell & Vassals -----
The Conclave, by 267, will be said to have been reduced to a small council of sorts for House Martell. Player houses can be involved. The positions should mimic those powers on the small council. Any ideas?
----- Second: Martell & Targaryens -----
By the time of Aerys' death and 267, I think we should just admit that the Targaryen family has been at the Water Gardens for a while.
Because Rhaegar is so highborn, he'd have been tutored at least somewhat by House Martell's maester perhaps, along with perhaps Doran and his retainers in some other things. He's also probably quite familiar with his betrothed, Elia (who is 11), at this point, and the youngest Martell, Oberyn. Acceptable, Trot and Ponti? Ponti, Rhaegar now gets his first 4 trait points, so I suggest duel, charisma, assassin, or battle.

Re: Plan to catch up Dorne
1. The whole "nobody knows where they are" things needs to end
2. I'll officially register Rhaeger asap. But his age is very limiting at the moment

Re: Plan to catch up Dorne
Doran will bring it to the attention of his player vassals once we learn that Aerys is dead. They were kept hidden under the wishes of Rhaella.
As for Rhaegar's age, I started Doran at around 10 or 11 or something, and he's now 20 years old. You can grow the character.

Right but in terms of me being able to like immediately do anything with him as far as the succession goes.

So for the rest of us buzzing around sun spear, aka blackfish, is he ever to find out about Rhaegar being there? If so, do they have a relationship?

Re: Plan to catch up Dorne
Is Aerys' death common knowledge? Because once it is, we can get the ball rolling on all of that

Re: Plan to catch up Dorne
I'd assume he learned of the royal family eventually not sure if they ever interacted. Rhaella is in Suspear if you want to talk to her.

Re: Plan to catch up Dorne
Blackfish'll learn of it when Doran's vassals learn of it, so not yet
Also I'm just going to ignore that Ryker Frey showed up, there's just no way Ponti

Re: Plan to catch up Dorne
Why are you so obsessed with keeping all of this a secret? Why is it a big deal?

Re: Plan to catch up Dorne
Because THAT was the situation: Rhaella asked to be kept hidden. Doran didn't want any nobles to know because they gossip, they spread info. He also didn't want his vassals to know because they might make demands of him or sell him out in the future.
The situation HAS changed. However, I couldn't unfold my plan until someone told me whether or not Aerys' death was common knowledge.
All I got was unsure answers from people who aren't even mods, as far as I remember

You do realize the Water Gardens are full of people and peasants would have seen a silver haired and purple eyed person show up in sunspear, as well people would have seen her in Tarth. I dont think it realistically could have been keep a secret this well.. but that's me. And its coming to light now so it doesnt matter.

Re: Plan to catch up Dorne
I've roleplayed the Water Gardens differently from that. In fact my vassals can't even go in there without my permission currently. Been that way since Princess Elinor lost her marbles after Beren died
