Default Your most frustrating/ most obvious PC cheat

    Hello all,

Just had to post here after a day of vampire/ dwarf campaigns. The game overall is solid and alot of fun, but the game cheating is frustrating (im playing on hard. What are your most classic Pc cheats?

Ill start. I was playing as the vampires and was impressed to see the humans has laid an ambush outside Essen. It was a bloody fight and I lost but managed to withdraw 80% of my army. The enemy lost a good 95% of their army. Just one turn later I sent a spy to check out the rest of the enemy force as I was rebuilding: Full stack with mortars and a wizard. Rage Quit.

New campaign as Dwarves. Going good subduing the Bloody Spears and closing in on a mountain redoubt to the south. I attacked and lost: Me maybe 95% of my army, my enemy, 90% all dead. The next turn, gathered the remenets of my army plus extra from a nearby army and attacked again: found out the enemy has full strength garrison like nothing happened.

Loving this game, but cmon, what have you experienced that made you say WTF?!?

    Same thing really.

Gotten the greenskins down to 1 province left, killed all their armies that turn and end it. Next turn another 4 armies pop up out of nowhere and all 4 simultaniously waaagh! the same turn -_- Orc Waagh! happening alot is why the dwarves never survive from mid games in my campaigns Seriously want a anti-waaagh! mod.

Same thing for Norsca factions, they instantly rebuild their armies most of the time. It does take them time to move these armies though.

And all this with the no cheating mod >.< sad to see it doesn't fix army cheat spawns.

Oh and it doesnt fix AI confederations either. AI get a confederation cheat too, allowing them to constantly confederate

I haven't seen this at all. Are you attacking the AI on their territory or your own? In my current campaign as the Vampire Counts, whenever I defeat an enemy army, they remain as I left them after I defeated them. This is particularly true if they are still in my territory. (Although they suffer attrition from being in my lands.) I've also completed a long campaign as the Greenskins and never noticed behavior like you describe.

Do you have the AI moves disabled between turns? This is the only thing I can think of that would give the appearance that the AI is just spawning out of nowhere.

Just encountered the never ending wave of Vargs, Chaos and skaelings in my vampire campaign... Just really... bothersome. You would think that after getting their stuffed so many times they would pick a fight with the empire or some other wimps. One good thing about being vampires though is that the Corruption seems to slow them down. Also their corpses can make raising a high tier army on the frontier easy. Do not really need High tier units to beat them though mid tier is fine. Which is great because even with an un molested economy vampires have a hard time fielding high level units. Due to massive up keep cost.

Haha, apparently not for AI... 3 full stacks of elite units and that just with their 2 base provinces. I really hate the TW camapaign difficulty. Either you play on normal (no cheating i guess?) and live with a way too easy game. Or play on higher difficulty with silly cheats all over the place (including screw-over in case of random events - with chaos i constantly had -5 horde growth and -50% movement speed on my generals. And also failed majority of the "50%" chance of agent success). Campaign AI is just not good at all.

Well im hoping for a 2 things.

1: A mod which removes ALL cheats (difficulty bonuses on hard+ is ok)
2: A mod which makes the AI more clever on the campaign map to offset the negative part of removing bonuses.

mine is when you have units hidden on the battlefield waiting to attack when the enemy rushes the units you have revealed, only to see all of the enemy's cavalry heading towards the hidden unit instead of the revealed one.

The most stupid PC cheat is the unlimited morale and the crap morale of yoru own troops.
Stopped playing for this , also because once I won a region the CPU come with insane amount of enemies from nowhere this summed with constant uprising of full armies , also out of no where and without any sense I just quitted the campaign and gived up !

Perhaps I miss something but what is the point of playing on any difficulty above medium if you install a no AI cheating mod?

To my knowledge the only thing that changes when you increase the difficulty is the amount of bonuses/cheat that the AI receives.

And really the difference between a bonus and a cheat is totally subjective some players consider that giving a moral bonus to the AI units is fine to counter how easy it is to flank them and some other players will complain that it is a cheat that make the AI too hard to rout.

Chaos spreading everywhere seems like cheating to me, seeing how most lands arent anywhere near chaos. I had to build temples of sigmar everywhere to counter it, and it seems its not reducing the corruption nearly enough as it has to do.

And those near immortal agents of them spread chaos too and are hard to get rid off. I am using a mod that makes agents less agressive though, so they wont assasinate and cripple all armies.

Chaos spreading mapwide is a nice touch in my opinion, with the initial Chaos assault +1 mapwide and later on the coming of Archaon +2 mapwide. It's supposed to portray the hidden Chaos cults becoming bolder as the Chaos invasion accelerates and start spreading their corrupting influence inside your cities and villages. As long as you can keep the Chaos stacks out of your lands it's very easy to manage even without having temples everywhere, there are public order technologies and buildings as well as your own agents and armies to counter it.

When the player razes a settlement it uses all action remaining action points.

But you can be chasing an AI army through your lands, and it will be able to stop, raze your settlement, and continue on it's merry way still out of your reach.

Also somehow the AI knows which of your settlements have walls from half the map away. as the Dwarfs I was fighting the Vampires and finally destroyed their last castle. They had one army left, led by Mannfred. Right after I took that last castle they made a beeline towards the only settlement I had in the northern part of the map with no walls, skipping 3 other settlements on the way, and razed it. Obviously after that they were in the middle of hostile territory with a depleted army and nowhere left to go so they died in the next couple of turns, but still annoys me that they could clearly see something that I wouldn't have been able to due to FOW.
