What determines the number of variations allowed in a variantmesh file?
Like say you had in the body slot:
<SLOT name="torso" >
<VARIANT_MESH model="VariantMeshes\wh_variantmodels\hu1\emp\emp_warrior_priest\torso\warrior_priest_torso_01.wsmodel" >
<META_DATA>audio_armour_type:plate</META_DATA> <META_DATA>audio_entity_type:wh_human_male_LH</META_DATA></VARIANT_MESH>
<VARIANT_MESH model="VariantMeshes\wh_variantmodels\hu1\emp\emp_warrior_priest\torso\warrior_priest_torso_02.wsmodel" >
<META_DATA>audio_armour_type:plate</META_DATA> <META_DATA>audio_entity_type:wh_human_male_LH</META_DATA></VARIANT_MESH>
<VARIANT_MESH model="VariantMeshes\wh_variantmodels\hu1\emp\emp_warrior_priest\torso\warrior_priest_torso_03.wsmodel" >
<META_DATA>audio_armour_type:plate</META_DATA> <META_DATA>audio_entity_type:wh_human_male_LH</META_DATA></VARIANT_MESH>
<VARIANT_MESH model="VariantMeshes\wh_variantmodels\hu1\emp\emp_warrior_priest\torso\warrior_priest_torso_04.wsmodel" >
<META_DATA>audio_armour_type:plate</META_DATA> <META_DATA>audio_entity_type:wh_human_male_LH</META_DATA></VARIANT_MESH>
</SLOT>
you'd have those 4 variations that could be placed on the unit, but if you tried to add a 5th there it would only use the first 4. What exactly determines how many variations each body piece uses?

hey its quite annoying but I've narrowed it down to 2 settings. either unit detail or unit textures.4try turning them to low and see how many variants you have to figure out exactly.
also at max unit detail+textures unit variants seems to be capped to 5, which is still too low for my tastes but I have a feeling its hard capped.
hope that helps as i had to figure this out myself
