Bronn moved into the room uneasily, looking for thr Targaryen. He was clearly nervous, and his hand was gripping and releasing his sword in agitation.
Maegor was sitting at his desk, facing away from King's Landing, looking at a book left within the chambers. It was a written history of the House Targaryen and other Valyrian houses that had come to Westeros such as House Celtigar, Sunglass and Velaryon. He hears the door open, making the Targaryen look up curiously at Ser Bronn who was present. His eyebrow raised slightly at the sight of the nervous bastard.
Can I help you, Ser Bronn?

The old veteran scratched his withered face, and begins talking in arather round about manner. "I fought on the Stepstones, not as an officer, just a horsemen, I was one of the men Aerys promoted after thatfest. I fought at the Wendwater, andi was promoted again.
I fought for the King at the First and Second Battles of King's Landing. I fought with my friends and comrades and fought for the man who we were totally loyal to, we worshiped Aerys more than the Seven themselves. He ate with us, talked to us, camped with us, drank with us, sat with us and fought with us. We loved him for bringing us to victory, and being the best commander we had ever had.
I watched him burn those men, carve up the Reach. I watched and I said 'Aerys knows best'. I watched him ignite war, and then carve up the Reach again. I said 'Aerys is the King'. I watched him lose his family, send honest men to trial, slander his mother andupon his marriage. I watched him mutilate and humiliate men. I watched him do all this and more.
I realise now that my Aerys, the man we loved and followed, is dead. He died years ago. I cannot serve this wretch who steals his skin, and wears his face any longer. The King grows madder and more rabid every day, he refuses to cut his beard or even trim his nails.
Prince Rhaegar is missing, and there is no other heir. No other heir than you."
Bronn knelt slowly, unsheating his sword and resting the point in the floor. Tears streamed down his face.
"You are the only hope for House Targaryen, accept my oath and stop the Mad King, Aerys would have rathered that than his House being destroyed."
Maegor's eyebrow goes up slightly, confused at this sudden display by Ser Bronn. What had gotten into this man? Surely the most right hand of the King's loyal commanders would not display such a treasonous intention.
You... confuse and frighten me, Ser Bronn. I am but a cousin of the King, whose claim was overlooked at the Great Council of 233 AC. I was but an infant in my mother's arms, but I was overlooked because of my father's insanity and my own given name of Maegor. Surely the Prince Rhaegar is safe somewhere in Westeros and being looked after well by those who support House Targaryen.
He slowly closes the book, before patting the shoulder of Ser Bronn.
You are the most loyal of my cousin's commanders. How could you betray him with such seditious thoughts at a time like this? Especially when there is Shaera Targaryen and her offspring as well as Rhaegar who still live. I am but a cousin, a man who has lived on the streets of King's Landing, the shores of Dragonstone, and in many places throughout the Seven Kingdoms, for many years now. I am no King, I am simply Maegor of the House Targaryen.
Maegor knew Bronn well enough; the lackey of Aerys II, the most loyal of his commanders, the most dedicated of soldiers and the one who was assigned to command his 'bodyguards.' The Targaryen would not believe the words of this, he knew better. This man had served his royal cousin for a number of years and killed his fill of men. Why now of all times would this commander betray Aerys?

Bronn shakes his head sadly. "Where are they? Can you really allow Rhaegar - the spawn of a Madman - to take the throne? My loyalties will always belong to Aerys II Targaryen, but this man is not he. This is a mere shadow, a shade of the man I once served. I would be betraying my King if I allowed him to keep tarnishing Arrys' name."
Maegor points to himself, before speaking once more to Bronn.
Look at me for example, Ser Bronn. My father, Aerion Brightflame, was such a madman that he drank wildfire believing he would become a dragon. Yet, despite that and my ominous name of Maegor, I became neither a reincarnation of our most cruel King, Maegor I, nor did I inherit the madness of my father. Rhaegar is but a boy after all. How can we judge an innocent child just as I was judged?

"Where is this child, how do you know he yet lives? Will you put an 8 year old to rule where a man mist?"
Maegor remains silent for a moment, pondering upon the age of Rhaegar. It would be like the reign of Aegon III; a long regency, possible nobles would seek power over the young king, Rhaegar nothing more than a pawn for their ambitions. It would make the young prince unhappy and surely influence him as he grew up. Whereas Aegon III was melancholy because of his mother's death, Rhaegar could turn out to be much different. He looks at Ser Bronn and sighs.
I do not know if he lives, but surely we would know if he was dead. And I unfortunately am not sure the realm needs a regency given what has happened... but I am not sure I am the person who should become King, Ser Bronn. I was believed to have been dead, forgotten and left to make out my own living. How could I become a King when I was never educated as one? How can I betray my cousin and his son?
"The moment of truth" thought Maegor as he awaited Bronn's response.

"The Egg spent his young years as a peasant squire. You are born a king, not made one. Aerys is the man I swore myself to, but he is a general, a warrior, not a king. That is why he is dead, and the Mad King rules in his place.
You must betray your cousin, you must betray him in order to save House Targaryen. "
Maegor sighs lightly and shakes his head.
You ask me to betray my family and that is something I cannot do. Go tend to His Grace and make sure he is out of harms way. I will continue with my ideal pursuits of books and writing.
Deep down, the Targaryen knew this bastard could not be trusted; betraying one king for another? Whose to say he wouldn't do the same to Maegor if he was crowned?
As he thought it over, Maegor would reach for something under the book; a mere knife that could be just to cut cheese. It was sharp enough though, so sharp that it could penetrate a person's skin. Bronn had come alone and to his home, granting him the advantage. With those thoughts in mind, the Targaryen chucked the book at Bronn to distract him long enough for the Valyrian to leap over and aim the knife straight at the bastard's neck. As he did so, Maegor screamed at the top of his lungs.
Traitor! I will not let Aerys die by your hand!
=======================================
OOC: According to the rules, this would be the assassin's home where Maegor receives visitors. Thus the chances are Nobles: 15/20 and Yoemen: 17/20. Since Bronn is not a noble, the chances should be 17/20.
Currently, Maegor has +3 survival and +3 assassin traits which makes this 20/20. However Bronn is a seasoned veteran so there should be a negative somewhere that lessens the chances of assassination. Mod discretion on that matter.
Also since there are no guards present (they were not written in) and Bronn came alone, Skylord cannot call upon guards to stop this or know of this. Also, Bronn has a +1 survival trait.

However, he is currently 49 (made in week 2 of the game), I would like his extra point to be in +2 survival. Thus the roll range would be 18/20.

I'll give it a 16/20 due to Bronn being a vet
Roll 3 so success.
With Ser Bronn dead, Maegor held an advantage. Aerys was most likely unprotected with his favored commander dead or he could try to escape now. He ponders for a moment before Maegor retrieves a blade from Bronn's body and leaves his chambers, locking it behind him before rushing down the corridor to the Holdfast.

What appeared to be a humble beggar appeared at Maegors chambers seeking an audience
Just as the beggar came by, a pair of servants, escorted by some Goldcloaks, were seen dragging a deceased body out of his chambers. A knife lodged into the man's neck. Anyone would know him as Ser Bronn Waters, who tried to gain Maegor's support to kill Aerys. The Targaryen refused and ended the traitor's life, but too late to prevent the death of Aerys. Inside, Maegor was seen at his desk, reading the book he was examining earlier about the family tree of House Targaryen. He looks up at the humble beggar, his eyebrow going up slightly.
How did you get into the Red Keep?

"People see what they wish to see." came the reply. "So they saw a beggar. Just as they wish to see Maegor Targaryen as only Maegor Targaryen. I see my future king." Moryn removed his hood and bowed once the door had been closed and the conversation was private. "The Golden Company prepares to depart. I myself have secured the services of 1,666 Unsullied. They are linking up with a fleet as we speak." he announced. "I came ahead. My Unsullied will follow the commands I left them anyway and your other commanders...do not seem to need my counsel."
Maegor abruptly gets up from his chair and closes the door, locking it quickly. Moryn Tyrell in the capital could result in a lot of things such as consequences that the Targaryen did not want to know about.
Once the room was securely closed, he turns to Moryn. He sighs lightly before walking back to his desk.
I would have contacted sooner, but Aerys had me imprisoned for reasons that were unknown to me till I scoured the Holdfast after his death. Things a lot more complicated now in the Seven Kingdoms, Moryn.
He points in the direction of the Great Sept.
Surely you have noticed the burnt ruins of the Sept of Baelor. The High Septon, a newly elected zealous candidate, has denounced House Targaryen, rejected Rhaegar and excommunicated the deceased Aerys. We could be facing a civil war of religious intent; between the zealots of the High Septon and those who remain faithful to the Targaryen dynasty. What plans have been made to get our forces across the Narrow Sea?

Moryn listened intently. "Finally the redt of the realm sees Aerys for wgat he truly is." Tyrell responded. "It will seem that House Targaryen now faces multiple threats. The time iss ripe for there to be a new king. A king of a newer sort at least. We should sieze control of the capital. Our forces are seabornr and will be here in days." he replied. "With Targaryens held in such ill esteem, who will fight for them now?"
Maegor looks out the window behind his desk before turning to Moryn.
I believe the Stormlands will support them, Moryn. Lord Baratheon was very keen, in a recent meeting of the Small Council, to have Rhaegar be crowned King. Lord Stark is still in the city, but he believes it is right to place the heir upon the throne. His wife is Shaera Targaryen, from what I have gathered, and they have their own wolf-dragon offspring. We could only count on the Reach for support and they are divided presently.

"Aerys kept them divided. Restore the Reach and it wull suport you. But stop counting kingdoms. Their support matters little. All these in the capital are potential hostages. Let us use our forces to capture them, and after your coronation show mercy and undo the policies of Aerys. They will accept your rule after that. Trying to gather these seashells on the brink of the hurricane is dangerous. Where is Rhaegar? Why is he not yet crowned? The longer you wait the more perilous your position. Don't anniunce to these lords here your intention to sieze the crown. Just sieze it. Maelys immobilized whole kingdoms with a few hostages."
