    Characters

    Lord Llewellyn Tarly

"Some men are consumed by their anger and bitterness, let it fester into hate."

My father bent the knee to the Carons, even gave Mathis my sister as a bride.. hostage more like it. But the old fool died for his treachery, took a quick tumble down the stairs.. broke his neck on the way down. Some say it suspicious, some say its murder.. I say its justice for his crimes against the House Tarly. I'm the Lord of this House now, the wielder of Heartsbane, the master of Horn Hill. And things are gonna be different with me, I not my father - I'm wrath made flesh, and these lands will fall in line or meet my ironed fist.

Llewellyn is a man of average height, a close trimmed beard and is balding prematurely. He is prone to fits of rage, even against those he professes to love - often beating servants and has taken a liking to executing all manner of criminals as well. He has no respect for the weak and when the first child born to him was a dwarf it mysteriously died in its sleep.

    Age: 33

    Marital Status: Desmera Ashford
    Traits:
    +3 Duel
    +3 Survival
    +3 Battle

    Victaria Tarly - 13
    Willas Tarly - 8
    Moryn Tarly - 2

Horn Hill's Maester shuffled into Llewellyn's solar, he had once been a strong man.. but now he was old, withered, gaunt and fragile. Lord Tarly had no love for the man, but he and the keep came in a matched set - for now. My lord, a raven from Raventree Hall. Lord Tarly snorted, looking up to the twisted man. What do those Riverland want? He questioned. Trade it would seem.. Tarly rolled his eyes. Fine, tell that tree ing bastard in Raventree he'll have his trade. The Maester nodded and slunk away, grateful for the Lord's positive mood.. he would clean up some of his lordship's language when writing the letter.

After having approached House Florent and achieved a successful marriage with them, Ser Mason Hightower rode along with a small retiniue towards Horn Hill.
The cousin of Lord Hightower formally announced himself among the gates, wondering in what way Tarly would remember the Hightowers. With them being independent, it is uncertain of how to look at the Reach these days, especially when considering what news Myrcella had brought from the capital upon her department.

He is brought into the halls of Horn Hill. Lord Tarly sat on the throne of his forfather's a simple thing made of carved wood and iron. Hightowers. He grumbled with disinterest. Why've you come to Horn Hill?

Ser Mason eyed the man respectful, actually bowing towards him before speaking.
"My Lord Tarly", he replied, politely, ignoring the rough nature of the man, "Buiseness regarding the Reach, as though rumors of Tyrell having returned to Highgarden spread, Oldtown wishs for stability.
We all know that Aerys II. made decisions about which even House Hightower looks partly interested, but partly curious and worried. With Moryn Tyrell having disappeared and Highgarden being ruled by a young Tyrell Lord, where we wish that he can lead the Reach to former glory, House Hightower is not foolish to trust the realm not destabilizing further."

He looked towards Tarly, being still formal.
"What we offer you, benefits our neighbours more than it benefits Oldtown", he then continiued, "The Reach needs a reunion, while we don't have to isolate from eachother. Lord Rolland watches the capital with a worried eye, as the Crown is apparently eating its own children - and while we are aware, that House Caron of Nightsong, a Stormlander House, is your overlord de jure, as it was enforced by the King's law"
The pause between these last words seemed to be long, as Mason looked up.
"we fear that the kingdom lacks the support, which is able to keep the Reach safe from those, who mean harm to us."

    Again a dramatical pause.
"House Hightower can protect the Reach", he then said, "Our wealth can compete with the Lannisters easily, around 25,000 men stand at our disposal, surpassing even Highgarden's numbers, should the Reach get invaded or our territories threatened by whomever daring to controll us. The naval power of House Hightower and our cousins, the Redwynes - undoubted.
The Florents recently married into our House, as they know that we don't hunger for more power, for a titular Lord Paramountship we had to accept in eyes of the King's ... judgement.
Thus, House Hightower is willing to offer you the same protection, as we came as brothers - Lord Rolland is interested in a marriage between our ancient Houses for our both interests.
We don't come as Lord Paramounts, but as High Lords - and Hightower has not forgotten, who among the Reachmen the true and uncontested High Lord of Horn Hill is.
    Will you accept our offer?"

A letter arrives form the Baratheon army.

    My Lord Tarly,

I know you did not raise your banners for me, yet I ask for your support now. I hear by release you of all Oaths to me and my house, and ask you not as a vassal, but as a brother to support the cause of Steffon Baratheon the rightful King of Westeros.

Edywn Frey, the new lord of Freykeep, arrives. The sigil of House Frey hung lazily in the breeze, and a smiling Edwyn rode his horse at a lazy pace towards Horn Hill. It had been a pleasant journey through the Stormlands and Reach. He felt better now as a Lord, instead of just an heir. This way he didn't have to wait for his father to die. He sported a long black beard, where his father was known for his long, gray beard.
