Disable Vanilla units for recruiting and amending units +more...
Hi all,
Been a few years since I was active here.
But recently gotten into RTW2 again and instead of just adding a few units for the faction that I play with I've come up to make a little(overhaul) mod for personal use and if I like it i'll release it.
However for that to work, I need to know which tables I need to disable AI and player recruiting certain units. I kinda assume it will be done by building_units_allowed table. And merly just delete the entries. However my expierence doesn't go further than adding new units to the game.
So how do i do this? Just extract the vanilla db, put it in a pack and set a prefix(or not for that matter)? To overwrite the vanilla file? As I'm not quite sure(yet) how the game handles or reads mods overwriting vanilla files without CTD's for that matter.
Second question, is there a way to make the Roman AI recruit a preset army? So I.E. 5 hastati, 5 princips, 2 velites and after Legionaires come available that they recruit 10 Legionaires as Hastati and Principes will no longer be available for recruitment?
Last but not least, is it possible to have the AI have its army form up in a certain way? Meaning stack heavy infantry behind medium infantry? Or I.E. a checkerboard setup with medium up front and heavy in the second line? Think this is going to be complex when thinking about it...
Many thanks for the input!
Links to tutorials are as well highly appreiciated as an answer!
