    Default Vampire counts never die

I kill them, their heroes and their troops on the battlefield ? They don't flee, they die (the ennemy general is dead message appear), then their troops crumble (well, it takes some time actually) and as a confirmation I can see there's 0 remaining troops on their side in the post battle screen. And next thing I see on the campaign map is their armies only half depleted running away and the heroes, vampires and general who just died already there with their full HP. Is ,that normal ?

It's been lasting for a few turns now. I kill them all, they come back with the same number next turn . Other strange thing is if I disable their building with my agents, when I attack their city on gthe same turn their garrison is still full. Alive and kicking Vargheists (so to speak), skelettons, black knights, etcc.. So, the VC is really the ultimate badass faction, I have no problem with chaos, but the VC are just killing me. I thought it would be the other way around.

Maybe they got that random "The dead rise again" faction trait. It happens at random I think after each battle and you get some units that got eliminated back.
It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

Mmmmmh, thing is I don't remember the same happening when I conquered West Sylvania, earlier in the campaign.... I'm not reasssured I start to wonder if something is wrong with the mods I use, etc...

To be more prcecise, only the characters come back with fyll hps, the skeletton troops are 1/3 depleted. Damn, this is so frustrating lol

EDIT : Another thing : THey came back with the same armies an d I won again andthe strange thing is that they retreated but then after that it's like if they had more action points and instead of staying where they are they move once again and congregate near their last city ! I never saw this before, when you're puched back after a defeat normally you can't move anymore (yes ? Or have I forgotten everything about TW?).

I have the same issue never use any combat mod the same thing happen to me fighting a legendary lord. I think the Ai have bonus recovery time for there Legendary turn maybe 1-2 turn recovery time. I don't know if this is related to a skill that decrease the recovery time. My legendary lord recover like 4 turns without the recovery skill.

I suspect its your mods raised the rise again chance quite substantially. I'm in a long struggle against moussillion VC and this happened only once when fighting their ranked up army. (damn you thibaut d'outremer)

Maybe... Another thing maybe he raise new lords that happen to have exactly the same names. That would be a strange coincidence though since it happened two times.

Gyabo is probably right, it could be a bonus recovery to legendary lords raised by a trait.

That a mod amplifies it or not is something only a modder could say. What is sure is that once I killed their masters the skeletton and other grave fiends keep on the fight for a while (they don't imediately crumble like I thought they would).

They are vampires, mighty creatures of the night. So they never die. However, in my current campaign I wiped them out rather easily when they attacked one of my ally. Same with Blackhaven/Schwarzhafen, I never lost a battle against the vampires. Norsca in the early game, then Chaos and above all Greenskins were more of a problem for me.

The general rule is, position your armies strategically in a way that you can catch and annihilate beaten enemy armies in the same turn. Otherwise I usually avoid battle and hide in my walled settlements.

Perhaps you are playing in VH? I'd assume this "talent" would then be recurrent on all of their lords. Are you playing in vH?

No I don't. I got them but I had to wait for them to try to expand and divide their forces. Another option would have been to bringf a second army but chaos and their friends were keeping me busy in the north. Once I took the last VC encampment they didn't have enough ressources to replenish like before. But for that I had to make a gamble and throw my army on their metropole. I was lucky they sallied, I don't know how I won this fight against legions of flying terrors, black knights and crypt horrors, I almost spent the whole battle in slow motion. It had a battle at the gates of Mordor taste.

Ahah ! It happened to me as well but only with their legendary lord Mannfred. Is that the same for you? I suspect he's got some passive ability or spell that does that because I wrecked his bleachy ass and yet he came out running on the campaign map! Damn dead luva
