Default A couple of simple questions regards upgrading

    1. Is it possible to upgrade dwarf warriors into Longbeards? Can any units in the game get upgraded into higher tier units?

    2. Do dwarf Lords get any of the mounts shown in the all the hype videos? I'm at turn 120. My home region is upgraded to the highest level with most of the high level military buildings. What do I need to get an upgrade to the Lord's mount...actually to even get a mount or are my stumpies stuck on their own two stumpy feet?

    3. Does looting a town lower its tier? HOw about if I just occupy? I'm trying to see if there's a benefit from just occupying a city regards maintaining a city's tier level as opposed to looting and then occupying. But I can't see any kind of benefit so far. But that might be because I've only been conquering level 1 towns. Back in Shogun or Medieval if I remember correctly, occupying maintained a town's level, while looting lowered it? Or I might be remembering this wrong? So far every orc hold I've taken has been level 1 whether I straight occupy, loot one turn and occupy the next...or loot and occupy.

After 15 hours of playing and 120 turns, I finally discovered that skills can be upgraded 3 times last night?! I'm such an idiot. I've 2 lords with over 25 skill points each and each with a single point sunk into every bloody useless skill in the tree.

So I thought I'd ask those 3 questions above before I make any more screw ups.

A mod that allows the complete resetting of skill points would be a dream......I don't suppose one exists yet?

    1) I've not seen any way to upgrade any units
    2) I've not seen any mounted Dwarf Lords (apart from the one at the start that is on a throne carried by four Dwarves).
    3) Not sure. I've just been looting all settlements as Dwarves regardless of the level the settlement was.

    1) No; units cannot be upgraded at all.
    2) No; there are no dwarf mounts or cavalry at all - Thorgrim Grudgebearer's throne is the closest thing to a mount and it is exclusive to him (as it is the throne of the High King).
    3) I think so, everytime one of my cities has been sacked I've had a building drop a tier.

    1) no , that bardlings are a dishonor for the clan , so bring the long beards when you can , that's the dawi way
    2) MOUNTS !!! , what are you , a weakling human who need a beast for moving , the Dawi fight with our feets close to the ground , close to our ancestors

    1. they are different units not upgrades. (they are not like hastati --- to --- legionnaires etc)

    2. They are dwarves. I guess you are not too familiar with the warhammer lore. Its not world of warcraft where everyone has a ride. dharves walk and cower in caves they do not ride in plains on horses. Hopefully you'll get a mod that answers your dearest wish.

    3. Don't know

    4. I believe there is a reset point at the bottom right corner

    5. If you think the buffs are useless try fighting with a level 1 lord versus a level 30 Karl Franz and come back. They are useful.

    6. Good greenskin hunting!
