Want to check, whats the reccommend difficulties now with new names? Think have seen several people asking but no answer and really want to get it right. I just thave to decide if Im going with either KH, Carthage or Baktria to start with humm
The latter two have potential issues I'm about to fix, so I'd say Carthage. Unless you want to wait for the changes to Iberia about to come, in which case, I'd say go with someone else for now.

Is this normal not to get first tier government building as Boioi even if you have 75+ culture? I can only get Allied states.

Where? You can't build Confeds anywhere, just because you have >75% rel_e.

So confederation is only available in one city - Streunta? in others not? I can only build it(have it) in my starting capital? This limits my elites quite a bit then, because i have nearby cities with 80% culture and can not build any confederations anymore, units like Argoi limited to one city then?
P.S Thanks for 2 sneaky barbaric units, guys, and charge value increases on some of the shock units i guess my whines got well into your heads ;D

We will either find a way, or make one.

Congratulations for the Amazing work done!

I have just a couple of question: the Non-installer has some directories, where should I placed these directories?

(the one that has tools inside I just placed on the general Medieval 2 total war directory where tools directory is placed and over-read the tools)

    Regarding the Hot Seat Campaign.

How can you implemented the normal way that at the first turn you can decide the password and the screen don't let the player see the map? (until he opens the turn)

(I put: use the password and no show IA) but doesn't change anything.

Can you please implemet it on the multyplayer menu, that I assume may work properly?

    Thanks

Got the message saying I captured enemy hoplites and should be able to recruit them as mercenaries. However, no mercenary hoplites were available to recruit. If this feature is already stated to be WIP then ignore this.

I got a historian to respond:

He got it a little mixed up afaik: the manipular reform had already taken place during the Samnite Wars (like around 290 BC), whereby the older centuriae were changed into manipuli. Opting also to add 20 men to the front ones and halving the rear ones, giving 120 and 60 for the respective sizes...

Maybe the doubling he is referring to is the annual levy, which was doubled to 4 legiones...

What faction are you playing, and what settlements do you have? This feature works, but it isn't available in every government.

You'll get a CTD the next time the game wants to play them, if you just delete them.

Ah, thanks for the reply. I guess my memory is just a little rusty.

Concerning the numidian reform: I've been playing them, too, and looked up in the script, what the current requirements are. And, indeed, you have to convert three camps to trigger the reform. The problem is, that Tuat and Garama can't be converted. The regions region_168 and region_172 don't have the hidden resource mixed. This makes some sense to me, as the regions are mostly the northern part of the sahara. But nethertheless there are only two camps in north africa that can be converted and that makes the reforms impossible. At least as far as i read the files.

Also the advisor at the begin of the numidian campaign tells you, that you will get an annual tribute from carthage. But actually the tribute is paid seasonal and tied to a goverment building. First i thought that no tribute was paid at all. Only after attacking them, and a sudden drop in my income, i realised that the tribute was tied to the governed tribe building. Maybe that could be explained a little bit different at the beginning, because it caught me definitely on the wrong foot.

It's because we've changed some of the former-camps into towns (Liks and Kirtan are no longer camps). I'll reduce that counter in 2.2b so that you just have to convert Capsa and Sigan.

    @Kaskad

That's the Tarentine Cavalry. Works just fine in my version. I assume you made a mistake during installation. I also have the ports in the above mentioned regions.

Well done. It downloaded quickly and smoothly and installed easily. I like the smaller triarii units and there are plenty of allied hoplites early in the game. Only the core of the army should be Roman. I also like the noisy horns. They are disconcerting, which was their purpose. It adds realism.
Do I really have to install Java 8 to use the switcher and access the unit guide? Though it is supported by my operating system, I'm not keen on it.

so im rly satisfied with battles now(except those fking war horns ). im playing Pritonoi again which i didnt finished coz of some crash and i rly love Esseda chariots. Still its about cavalry win--attack rear etc, but their huge morale impact and attack in moment of surprise do rest what others didnt. Even in city where i held with some Cav enter to square maybe vs 5 units and attacked with Esseda to rear it was like do from 30% casualties into 70% just in blick moment. But still i really feel compassion with ai Carthage. They are on good way to get wreck by numidia again due to their absolutely stupid moves( instead of def besieged city rather go siege one of their although they have next stack to def it). Or sending half stack here and there by Lilybum to Capua again and again. No other ,,splitted'' factions play that bad. Thats same problem like with Rome in early phase, where they hold 2 fs armies in north bcoz of independents and let take others. Ye Carthage have fs in Lepki, but defending against rebels who are maybe 3 turn march far by city. suppose its hardcoded. On one side we see highest priority def. their own city, on second they absolutely piss on that and go on walk In adition its need to say, that Rome hold there those stacks for good reason, bcoz those rebels are real agresiv.

It seems the Soliferra doesnt have a thrown model. Is this a bug or do we not have a model for it yet?
Tested it on 2 scutarii units.

If Kaskad is playing Epeiros and he founds Pella and Demetrias lack port ( have you conquered them yet? or does it happens before you conquer them?)... someone should check if playing as KH and conquering Pella/Demetrias and/or Ambrakia/Epidammos those have ports. If they dont.. you have a strange bug there id say.

It's just the starting KH trio, because of a bug where they'd be spawned with the wrong culture. That seems not to be happening, so in the patch (just finalising testing) they're no longer created by the script.

Eh? I've watched soliferra being thrown, and flying, many times. What do you mean?

also great rep. for changes in diplomatic stances. War between Nabataea and Ptolemais, no stupid aliances till 15 turn and finally independent decision for Pergamon what to do.

CAI is very aggresive enjoying it a lot, Sweboz took war on me on turn 37, carthage destroyed on turn 79, and Bosphoros too, Romans are wrecking stuff, Sarmatians are war willing enough, Lougiones my ally joined war with Sweboz, Pritanoi finnally got into mainland and started wrecking some havoc- very much enjoying this CAI not to mention improved settlements and sieges that are now actually fun. Some minor crashes and bugs here and there but really better overall. Those trumpets could be less louder or atleast you could change their loudness via sound options. Also noticed victory conditions now have faction icons whose a player need to conquer, amazing small features: like romans are getting to the Alps, help gauls defend from them, relieve the siege of Falcina. Thank you very much for this.
