    Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!! The team did an AMAZING job with this release. The campaign map is stunning, much more aesthetically pleasing now! And hotspot campaigns are an absolute blessing! I do have a question though. How does diplomacy between two human factions work? I played as Rome and Carthage, and with Rome I offered trade rights, and nothing. No accept nor decline from the Carthaginians.

    The enemy sometimes uses mercs on Medium.
    To clarify, there's been the rare report from one or two players that the rebels hire mercs.

    So i was testing a phalanx army(seleucid) against a mass german clubmen army as one normally does and i noticed super loud trumpet sounds from almost all units.

    They seem to cut out every now and then and the volume was so load that my ears honestly still hurt. Something must be wrong with those sounds. Even my lydian lancers and late skirmish cavalry had those sounds.


    Can someone confirm this? Maybe its from my sound settings but i dont think so.

    Good God alive, I just heard those trumpets myself from some Galatian rebels. I'd thought the pre-battle cacophony of Taksashila in 2.1 sounded terrifying but that has NOTHING on this. Is this one of the "surprises" in 2.2? Because it surprised the out of me.

    Man, I really hope rebels do hire mercenaries; it'd make roleplaying insurrections much cooler.

    I played 40 turns over several hours as Carthage, really stable, very well done. I like the new offices that come with Carthage. I like the new economy, definitely not as much money as before. I had some negative money years but pulled myself out of it. Lots of variety on the units.

    So is subpar now the recommended difficulty or the next higher one? Right now i can still start a new campaign

    I'm putting a 2.2a patch together as we speak; fix for the enslave bug, but also a host of changes that didn't make the cut-off for 2.2. More changes in Iberia (including new music!).

    First of all, thank you for this fantastic mod. Splendid work! But i recognised that the triarii have now only 80 men on huge. That seems a little low, especially compared to stronger unit like the epilektoi, who have 120. Also it would just be better at the moment to recruit the etruscan hoplites.

    Triarii maniples were half the size of those of Hastati/Principes. Thus in the game they are half the size.

    Is this true for the Camillian era? As far as i now, after the polybian reform the maniple size of the princeps/hastati had been doubled and while the number of triarii per maniple stayed the same. So it makes sense after the first reforms. But during the Camillian era all maniple had the same size. I'm by no means an expert, but that's how i rember it.

    It's a torrent magnet link, you need a torrent client program open, then it will do the rest.

    Yesss, downloading now and soon starting the testing (and enjoyment hehe). Really glad to have the army amnausl and also seeming that mya rmies prior to that werent too far off despite my lack of hsitorical army compositions. A little tweaks and they would be good.

    Want to check, whats the reccommend difficulties now with new names? Think have seen several people asking but no answer and really want to get it right. I just thave to decide if Im going with either KH, Carthage or Baktria to start with humm

    We will either find a way, or make one.
