    Hello,

    After getting the .zip file this morning ( i downloaded it during the night, i am seeding now so far 41 gb uploaded at 19:30pm) i spent "only" 2 hours and a half checking the recruite viewer, reading unit descriptions, maps where to recruit this or that unit for this or that faction, the buildings needed, etc. What a masterpiece of program you got there men, it is simple awesome.

    The only "issue" i fount there is that:
    + The "iberian client ruler" hasnt a "description tittle" ( the very first line in the description where all other units have their kind of unit in english instead "native" name) as any other unit , someting like "bodyguard of the chief", "retainers" or whatever. Maybe it is cause it hasnt a "native" name as any other clien ruler/bodyguard?.
    + There are 2 units called "iberian caetratii". One of them has "iberian_caetratii" model and "iberian light infantry" has "english" name. The other has "caetratii_spearmen" model and "lacks" english name in his description.

    Ok, so after so much reading i unzipped the file and just copied and paste all folders and files that appeared inside my MTW2 directory clean install. Checked the log thingy in ebII.cfg and added the bordeless windowed lines. I launched the game with the .bat inside the ...\Medieval II Total War\mods\ebii ( i pointed the old ebII icon in my desktop to that file). Started a campaign that crassed with an empty MTW2 popup screen error. I deleted the map.rwm and launched another campaign that worked perfectly this time. Now i am playing makedon cai-average/bai-average and i am loving it

    The issues i have fount so far:

    - Athenai and Sparte lack the port in the campaign map. No "ligthouse" or "blue" circle when you put the mouse over the tile where it should be the port. Both cities have "port town" built ( Athenai has a "large port town"). Both cities lack makedon goverment yet due to debt, dunno if that could be the reason. There are no "sea trade lines" leaving from the tile neither, and i have some trade agreements already.
    - Is spartan agoge working in this built? i conquered Sparta in turn 3 or 4 and sent my heir ( 19 years old) there hopping he would undertake Spartan Agoge, but he hasnt. ( it is true that city hasnt makedon goverment yet due to money debt, i am in turn 10 and still in red numbers).

    Nothing else, ill report more things as i find them. Gonna play another half million turns or so.

    Wine is mandatory in Mac and Linux environment, while using Steam version of Feral M2TW?


    Is not enough to create a shortcut (SET LAUNCH OPTIONS) in Steam to launch EBII?

    It may be possible to follow the Steam Version steps for Linux/Mac as well but there are no Mac users on the team and just one Linux using member who is inactive at present. So we cannot confirm, I will update the OP if you can confirm this.

    I'm quite happy I was able to install and boot EBII v2.2a and..it's working! (OK, almost working...)

    This are the things not working:
    • animated background on menus is still the M2TW one

    • summer/winter and year icons are not displayed (I'm having the same issue on Windows/Steam version, so I guess it's steam related somehow...)

    The positive things are I'm able to play normally (at least for now!) and I had no crash on first campaign/battle launch (while on windows I always have the crash on first start).

    The steps I've followed on my Linux box (actually Xubuntu 14.04):
    1. installed M2TW + Kingdoms through Steam
    2. copied the ebii folder (from non_installer version) inside M2TW_install_folder/share/data/mods;
    3. modified the Steam launcher option (right click on M2TW and select SET LAUNCH OPTIONS...) by adding "--features.mod=mods/EBII";
    4. Copied "no_banner.mesh" from share/data/mods/ebii/data/banners to share/data/data/banners;
    5. Deleted settlements folder in share/data/mods/ebii/data;
    6. Launched EBII simply by clicking "Play Medieval II: Total War" on Steam, started a campaign then quit
    7. Applied patch 2.2a by overwriting existing files
    8. Re-launched EBII and started a new campaign again



    Let me know if I done all the necessary steps and if I can help fix these little problems I found

    There are several units where an existing voice file could be assigned to (voice files in brackets):

    Spartiatai Hoplitai -> "spartiatai hoplitai"
    (greek_unit_select_hellenistic_spartiatai_hoplitai_1) (greek_unit_select_hellenistic_spartiatai_hoplitai_2) (greek_unit_select_hellenistic_spartiatai_hoplitai_3) (greek_unit_select_hellenistic_spartiatai_hoplitai_4)

    Somatophylakes Strategou (cavalry version) -> "somatophylakes strategou"
    (greek_unit_select_hellenistic_cavalry_general_bodyguard_1) (greek_unit_select_hellenistic_cavalry_general_bodyguard_2) (greek_unit_select_hellenistic_cavalry_general_bodyguard_3) and alternatively? (greek1_unit_select_hellenistic_cavalry_general_bodyguard_1)

    Molosson Agema (standard version, not Epeiros bodyguards) -> “molosson agema”

    Hello,

    ey team, could you take a look to the Syrakousai recruitment pool? i conquered it in my campaign with KH 2.2a and after theureus reform, the new kind of soldiers dont appear in the recruitment screen. And all new soldiers appear in all other cities.

    It is true that i have been messing arround with EDU and scripts a bit ( my KH faction can convert camps and build new poleis .. i hope, i havent checked yet), so that could be the reason and this could only happen in my game.. but just in case...

    Not everywhere gets all the reforms units at the same time, or the same rate. Megale Hellas was a slower adopter, being further away from the cauldron of Greece and Anatolia. Note the Thureophoroi do appear, just in small numbers and Hemithorakitai persist a little longer than elsewhere.

    Thats ok and good to know, that could be the reason, but still..."turns for next avaliable unit" dont decrease, stay at the same amount since the reforms turn.

    Also i have built a hellenic allied free polis goberment in Beripara after conquering it and there is no "pupet governor" to recruit.

    Shouldnt at least the zone with the red circle be "connected"? To try to go from Mastia towards the center of Spain is a pain with that map, detour would takes some turns. right?
    Again, it could be my game since i generated a new map.rwm after modifying EDU, no clue if it could be related ,but...


    Btw there is still some special buildings ( The athenian akropolis, The statue of Zeus that i can see in cities belonging to me atm) that have bonus to morale to troops recruited there. I thought team had said that morale bonus wasnt implemented ( even in MTW2 vanilla iirc), dunno if you could change those bonus for something more usefull.. or just remove the text from the description .

    Installed M2TW and Kingdoms to my D:/ drive, installed EB, started a campaign on the vanilla game as instructed, checked that the log file thing was correct, used the windowed-thingie, tried to launch with the batch file but it opened in full screen. Weird, but whatever. I used the EB_Launcher and then it did open in windowed mode.

    Started a campaign to see if it worked, but it crashed with the graphical error. Deleted the map, tried again, this time it crashed saying unspecified error. Went to see if there was a log, and nope!

    So yeah. Help me. Please.

    This looks really cool just heard about it!! I am currently playing MTW stainless steel edition using Steam. I would love a chance to play this mod but don’t want to lose my original game. Is it possible to have another version of MTW one stem and the other no steam as it says on the installation guide?

    Is there a difference between EB FTP installer and non-installer? I don't have steam and downloaded the first one.

    I see two .exe's in the folder. "EBII.exe" which looks like 2.2. and another called "EBII v2.1b.exe" I thought 2.2 would include previous versions and patches? Do I need to install 2.1b first? Just confused why its there.

    There is no 2.1b.exe you had that downloaded in the folder

    Recommended difficulty is Average (former Hard) for campaign and Subpar (former normal) for battles?
