Is is just me, or is the Carthage Rejected Commander trait a bit too strong and a bit too frequent? This is just a first impression, bear in mind. Bears in minds lol

I can't believe you guys are still this committed to the mod.... Even after all these years. I remember hoping for EBII to be released so long ago.
Congrats to all of you! I don't think I've ever seen a modding team that is as dedicated and passionate as you guys.![]()
True. I even remember back in the day that there where so many people posting here saying that the team should "stop making this mod" and" give up their work and move on to rome 2 because it will be a much better game." Ahhh the good old days. Its really great that the team never gave up on this beautiful mod.
Wait, what is the recomended difficulty then? I started as Bactria on VH/VH. But i am only 3 turns in so...is it ok or no? Thx
I got a bit of rough start playing some of the factions.
-Start of Pontus Campaign. The UI suddenly disappeared when I was just selected building the small granary in the capital and I can't use the menu screen to get out since it also has disappeared.
-A Baktrian general just defected to the rebels and for some reason I couldn't get my general to attack him, the game acting that my general had already finished a battle even though it was a new turn.
Yes. That was one of the changes in the patch, rebalancing Roman refresh rates.
They've been working fine in the dev build. Did you check the turn after you'd cheated? Where's your game installed (that's my standard question whenever these sorts of issues come up, due to 2.03...)?
You're the expert.
They should be the same file.
Yes, grave finds in the region from our period include chariots.
I still recommend H/M, z3n says H/H.
No idea; did the first repeat? Did the second persist into multiple turns?

I have waited some turns- no change. I have my game off of program files folders. But i have two folders in medieval mods section: one is EB2 and the other is ebii. And in my Medieval directory ( not mods ) i have EB2 files and eb2 uninstal file- is that normal? My main eb game files are in ebii folder and the other contains saves and some otehr two folders.

sorry, wouldnt that defeat the purpose of decreasing the unit size? triarii (and equites) were recruited from a more limited pool than the rest. decreasing the unit size but doubling the refresh rate would not reflected this fact well imho, and would only present their battlefield numbers but not the overall (limited) availability.
Depends on where the new refresh rate is set. If rpeviously they refresehd slower now they can refresh as fast as the other roman units because at the same refresh rate you are getting half the numbers. So it would make sense because you will be able to produce any kind of maniple at the same rate with the numbers accounting for the difference.
We will either find a way, or make one.
I have been going back to H/H as it was what I used before (so Average/Average now) and Im quite happy although I may try VH battle sometiem in the future to see if I find any incoherence regarding the quality of AI troops.
But well, what I really came here for this time. Thanks guys! Thanks a lot! Had some siege battles (only atacking so far as the AI seems undecided to launch assaults) and the improvement in siege is great! I had assumed it would beno matter what because it was beyond the limits of what could be done but now 90% of the fighting takes palce at the gates or in the streets as even the troops that retreat come back to defend them.
Also had a great in field battles regarding cavalry. I would say that the AI may still risk his general a bit too much (although Im of the ones that also uses their generals in battle quite a lot) but the cavalry use is greatly improved. I really suffered last KH battle despite outnumbering the enemy as I had no cavalry due to starting troops and lack of funds and the enemy cavalry was been a pain circling my lines and engaging on the flanks and specially my archers. The little I played with rome prior to patch they were also been mobile and trying to hit hard. Still seems they are reticent to disengage and dont do it often to charge again in another palce. But its an improve from direct charges.

Thank you EB Team for this release and your hard work!
Looks really fanatastic!
A doubt that appeared as its been some time....how did one checked what you could build in a certain place? Or in what regions yo ucan have your different goverments? I tried going through the export_descr_buildings but didnt found the geographic limitations there. And in the recruitment viewer it shows everywhere for the buildings I was interested in xD

I am all set to start playing
Just one quick question, is it necessary to play a M2TW campaign first before starting EB2?
