The fortress of Deepwood Motte sits on the northern coastline of the North, separated from Winterfell's domain by the deep Wolfswood, over which the Glovers hold authority. A House without Lordly status, the ruler of House Glover is the Master of the Wolfswood and is tasked with defending it and keeping it free from bandits. The domains of the Ryswells exist towards the south along the coast, while the northern shore heads into the territories of the Mountain Clans and then to the Night's Watch and the Wall. Wildlings are not uncommon, sailing along the shore or infiltrating over the wall and into the Wolfswood, where game is plentiful.
