Default The trials and hardships of Lady Ilsa

Almost naked she's thrown into a cell. Time is oddly slow when you're bathed in darkness. Not a single candle, only weat stones and cold. After some time steps approaches and the door is openned, Isla is them dragged to a chamber, without windows or doors. So swift had been her capture that no-one had even heard about Corbray's disappareance. Inside wait several men, one covered by shadows in a corner. She is placed on the middle and forced to sit on a chair. Her clothes are ripped, exposing the swollen belly and her body to those there assembled. A hooded man steps forward.

    "Who is the father?"

A display of fearsome tools in a table nearby. A brazier lights the chamber.

    "Who have you bedded, whore?"

    ---------------------------

In the meanwhile Boremund Tarth enters the Great Sept of Baelor, he calls for the High Septon and waits praying at the feet of the Father.

She laughed. "Boremund Tarth," she spat out. "At least, he will be ed when the King finds out what happened." She pointed a finger at the hooded man. "You would hurt an unarmed, pregnant woman, for a traitor? You should pray that the Stranger will forgive you for your sins, because the Mother will not." She paused. "You'll keep me here for a few days maybe, until I will be found. And when they find me missing fingers and toes, my clothes torn off, they will realise that Tarth is not the only corrupted soul in the capital. You'll hang by the King's justice, most likely."

"We know how to make you speak without being visibly hurt, fool woman. Tarth told us to not harm you... too much. But we know that some harshness is required to confess"

A barrel full of water is brought. A man grabs her hair and pulls her head into the barrel... After almost a minute she's pulled back.

"Who did you ? Who is the father?"

She has no time to reply, again the water. And again.

"Who are your companions in this plot?"

A clerk oversees the torture, writting down whatever she could say of interest.

"You boasted to be a Commander when you're a woman! What kind demon are you? You are a witch!"

In the darkness the man nodded. His voice was raspy.

"Sinful beast, you will repent once the Faith knows of your wanton behavior"

He leaned forward and a seven-pointed star pendant was lit by the torches. He was a septon. Tarth's confessor.

Will the Goldcloaks be alerted about their commander's arrest?

Given the 'unique' nature of the lady commander and the large number of armed men, gonna put it down to 15/20, same as the capture, that they are discovered.

Rolled an eleven. The Goldcloaks are alerted that their lady commanded is missing. How long will it take before they are alerted?
    1-5 immediately
    6-10 3 hours
    10-15 5 hours
    15-19 8 hours
    20 12 hours

    7. Tarth has 3 IRL hours with the LC before the Goldcloaks and then eventually the King discover it.

"I am ten times the warrior you are," she boasted. "I've shown my value on the battlefield and in the city. Who are you? A nobody. A nobody whose life will be forfeit by the end of the day." She coughed, some of the water had gotten into her lungs. It burned.

The torturer is handed a note from Tarth, but she couldn't see. It was widely known she and a certain man had socialized... It wasn't a huge stretch for Tarth to figure it out.

"You don't want to speak, humm? I'll speak for you"

He leans and looks her right into the eyes.

    "Donnel Lefford"

His face was unforgiving. He must know everything, his eyes are staring into her very soul.

"Very good, you're reciting the rumors I've been hearing for three years now. I hope you didn't pay for this information because you could have just asked any lady in waiting at court." She wondered what Tarth was even trying to achieve.

Considering this is a "non-lethal" method of torture, there's going to be quite a low chance of death for these rolls.

1: Ilsa and the baby die under torture
2: The baby dies due to torture, Ilsa lives (leave it up to Addy whether he reveals father or not)
3-10: Lady Corbray doesn't reveal the identity of the father.
11-20: Lady Corbray reveals the identity of the father under torture.

Final roll: 11. Ilsa just about breaks from the torture, revealing to the torturer the father of the baby (whoever it may be)

I'll let the rp continue and you can conduct it as you please.

The name is written down. She was pulled below the water again.

"Speak, or we will harm your baby. Maybe we won't kill him, but could maim him or leave him imbecile for the rest of his life. Did you write the letter? With whom are you plotting?"

The septon looks from a corner.

"Confess, abomination. Who else you welcomed into your sheets?"

    ooc: this needs a roll.

Ilsa was close to breaking. "The rumors are true," she confessed. "I have bedded Donnel Lefford. Now, no more!"

    "Is he the father?"

    Said the priest.

"With whom are you plotting? Have you plotted with someone? Why you wish harm for Lord Tarth. Speak"

The septon kneeled by her side.

"Speak, my dear, and you will be free from this punishment. Pain will disappear, my child"

Same again, with similar parameters, altered slightly due to her breaking already:

1: Ilsa and the baby die
    2: Ilsa lives, baby dies
3-8: Corbray doesn't reveal anything from torture.
9-14: Corbray lies about the letter and the conspiracy (implicating whoever, up to Addy)
15-20: Corbray tells the truth about everything that has occurred.

Roll: 6. Ilsa doesn't reveal anything meaningful of a conspiracy against Tarth (again, up to Addy what she says)

"I wished no harm to Tarth at all," she answered. "He is jumping at shadows. I think he should look into his own heart if he sees conspirators in every corner."

    "Liar"

    Said the interrogator.

"A woman won't act alone. With whom have you plotted? Why you wish his demise?"

Again the water. The septon is praying.

    "Repent my child, repent"

"Liar. With whom have you plotted? Who?"

    Again.

    "Who?"

    Again.

    "Who?"

    Again.

"A name, girl. Who is behind your behavior? You are sinner, but you cannot be the one behind everything, who is he my dear?"

EDIT: Actually scratch that, its pretty unfair to continually roll it until you get an answer.
