I hadn't intended on a melee, they usually become a cluster.

It's just a series of duels. Rolling them is very easy, I'll do that if you want. Having a tournament with no duels seems like it's missing the entire point tbh.

Alrighty, I mean in most tourneys the central event is the joust not the melee - but if yall want it. I'll add duels too. So post if you're joining the melee and post your stats and equipment (armor and/or weapons).

As soon as I've got everyone in I'll request that all this get rolled.

Donnel Lefford will be signed up to the joust and duel, but won't actually show up. I tell you this so it can be worked into the RP description of the event if you want, but you won't have to roll anything.

I don't think bought weapons should be used in the melee since I doubt you want people to actually kill eachother

Generally not no, people just use their natural stats.

I mean Thoros used his flaming blade in the tourney of the hand, so real weapons seem to be usable. *shrugs*

The world of GoT is badass. The Westerosi fight melees with resl weapons, and the Dothraki cook their soup over fire hot enough to insta melt gold. Let's not forget about the fact they light their yurts' braziers with petroleum.

And candles made of magic glass allowing you to teleport and see the future, along with dragons. And zombies.

When discussing a fantasy world, logic often doesn't come into it lol

Dueling with your base stats doesn't mean everyone goes on the field in plain boiled leather gear and arming swords, it just levels the playing field so it isn't the people who bought all their armour already competing for the victory. The weapons and armour bonuses are meant for war.

This is just me running off tradition, as far as I can recall we've always ran tournaments like that. If people don't like it that way then fair enough. I'm not biased on this one: Donnel is both not fighting and has full weapon and armour anyway in the unlikely event someone manages to talk him back into it, so I'd not be losing out either way.
