Crash on Battle Load

Hi All!

As the title says, i´m trying the RSIII version of this great mod but so far i can´t play.

The game loads fine, the campaign loads perfectly but when i try to get into a battle, it just crashes... no way to play.

I´m playing with Steam Alex, W10...

Any idea of what the problem might be? I´ve tried to look in the forum but i can´t seem to find anything that resembles the problem i have.

Yes, i tried to auto resolve the first, it went well... the one after that, with different armies (small ones actually)... crash. It always crashes about halfway to the load.

Please provide a bit more info. What faction are you playing, and who were you fighting? Did you follow the install directions explicitly for installing in an Alexander Steam install?

Send me..or upload a svae of what you are trying to play and I will test it myself.

It happens with the normal roman campaign, so first battle against Hannibal crash. If i autoresolve that battle and try another one a turn later against the other carthage army or the Hannibal one, crash.

I followed every instruction and i dont think anything went sideways.

I don´t have a save because it happens at the very start so i don´t really go on with the campaign.

If it will solve the problem i can of course create one without problem.

Thank you very much for your assistance!! And in any case, congratulations for the great mod, i´ve played it in the 2.6 version some time ago and it´s a crazy piece of work. Kudos!!

I just checked and it happens with other campaigns too, so it´s surely a generalized problem.

The base game is working fine and the battles loads without problem.

Yep, this also happens to me - halfway through loading a battle it always crashes.
I'm playing a Dacia 0-turn campaign with the BI version on Windows 8, non-steam.

Did you by chance check the 'Click to change vegetation quality' button? If so, install Patch 3.1 or re-install the RSIII upgrade and then install Patch 3.1

I used that button, i think before and after the installation of 3.1 patch.

I tried to check everything with lower settins so i lowered that vegetation quality button, and then i put it on normal again.

Ok, so i had a bit of free time today and tried to reinstall it all.

Everything´s working like a charm now!!

To the guy with the same problem, just try to reinstall everything from the start.

Yep, I did the same thing, and now after reinstall it works as normal!
Until you fix the launcher, might I suggest you tell us in the install instructions not to click that button or we'll have to reinstall?
Make it bold or easily visible, so people don't the mistake we did.
