    Default [HELP] Special Abilities/Traits/Augments

If anyone knows, or thinks they could figure out, how special abilities such as augments work could you please help me?
This mod is supposed to depict lore friendly Necromancy. If your Legendary Lords or Lords fall in combat, their entire army will immediately start disintergrating because the one thing holding them to this realm was the power of the necromancer.

The way I was trying to do this was give a special ability augment called "Dark Bond - Master" to Mannfred von Carstein, Heinrich Kemmler, Master Necromancers and Vampire Lords. This trait was meant to give +100 leadership to all units except themselves. This trait was meant to go away when the lord died or broke/shattered.
In return, every single Vampire Count's unit receives a -100 leadership trait. This is called "Dark Bond - Slave".
Thus, when the lord is alive the -100 and +100 leadership traits negate each other, but if the Lord dies a -100 leadership trait suddenly applies to all units with "Dark Bond - Slave".

If possible I was going to make it so Necromancers, Vampires, Varghulfs and Vargheists are exempt from this debuff because they are humans/vampires, and thus do not rely on the general's necromancy to stay alive.

The problem with the mod appears to be that the +100 buff is NOT removed when the Lord dies, so the units stay on vanilla leadership levels despite their Lord dying. I can't seem to get the trait to disable itself.
Any help with fixing the special ability, and making it disable itself would be appreciated.
I've tried applying disable flags but they didn't seem to work.

Some of the Greenskin heros have passive abilities that affect magic in general, which fail when wavering. Perhaps thats worth looking into as a template?
    Not actually on the moon.

So I managed to get one skill working, the +100 leadership buff for the general. It applies to the all the units, and then when the general dies it disappears (which is good).
I can't work out how I even got it working though lols, so if I try making the second skill for -100 leadership, the +100 skill breaks and doesn't go away.
Here's the file of the working augment: https://mega.nz/#!e5VA0BCQ!T6OtxoGww...erErfaoJP2hnNA
It includes all the vanilla files as well, and the augment is applied to Heinrich Kemmler atm.

You can lock this I've solved it.
Damn I wasted so many hours on this... The ability wasn't deactivating because the deactivate flag I had on it was "morale_is_broken_or_lower", but the general always had a +100 leadership buff on them so they broke, they just died and the buff didn't deactivate. RIP my sanity.

    @ Caligula the Mad

I feel your pain man. Modding this game is like reading books written by Sheogorath! The first three pages are in book 1, the next three pages are in some other book, the next few pages in another and so on, but there is no index telling you which books any of the pages are in, or where they start if you do happen to chance upon the correct book.

I have had a similar hair-ripping, face-to-desk, mania-inducing adventure trying to get a custom legendary lord into the game.

Subio helped me out by pointing out that generals have no gender in agent_culture_details.... WTF?!! Why would GENDER make the unit fail to show the right model or portrait? I could understand having a female model show up if i was setting gender to "female", or maybe to "both" but having a female Vampiress show up when I set the gender to "male"... and having it work properly by setting gender to "-blank-" AHHHHHHHHHH!!

I'm off to giggle softly in the corner now.
