Default installing new patch will cause saves not working?

I play vanilla M2 and i dont jave patch 1.2 installed(no internet). If i download it and install manially will it cause my saves not working? Is it even worth downloading(well, main reason i want to install it is dumb AI and change logs say it got improved).

Or its like with Rome 2(which i got pre-ordered) where u had to make new campaign every week as new patch came out.

it will break you saves yes but it will fix also a ton off bugs
alternatively just buy the kingdoms expansion it will update MTW2 up to 1.3
and after that you have only to install the 1.5 patch for kingdoms

If yes, then the Rise of Mordor team linked above is looking for you!
    Massive Overhaul Submod Units!
D you want some units back in MOS 1.7? Install this mod http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...n-1-1-RELEASED
It adds back units who were deleted from the campaign in MOS 1.7, namely the Winged Swordsmen, the Citadel Guard Archers and the Gondor Dismounted Bodyguard.
