Is there any where that you could have controllabe, commandable naval battles, by creating ship models and such, and making sea technically into land that non-ships can't cross? OR does this make no practical sense?

Put simply what is achievable in Rome simply isnt worth the effort it takes with regard to naval battles so im afraid your stuck with auto resolve naval engagements

its such a shame to, i doubt we will ever see naval battles, and it would go so with with this time period. imagine having 50 biremes and triremes moving around filled with ballistas and marine hoplites ready to ram and board eachother. itll probably be another 10 years before a developer puts any kind of focus on naval warefare.
Sadly that is probably quite true![]()
I got a sea map working, and put a trireme in with some guys on it- that's about as far as I ever bothered.
Believe in Hegemonia... Or the Megarian will get you.
It would be but I'm busy enough... remarkably crappy Salamis scenario (historical battle never campaign) or Crete... your choice.![]()

Snevets, I am highly interested into evolving this. If you could give as the data of your modding so far, I - and many others I would think - would try to make something workable.
