Default Problem with Making Units Recruitable for Other Races

I made Bretonnian Peasant Bowmen recruitable for the Empire, as a mercenary unit for fun. It's easy but in battle the unit appears without animations as a stiff cross-like figure, the longbows at the feet. Seems there is a restriction of certain animations to certain races. Does somebody know how to solve the problem?

    Hi All,

I am also having this problem.

I use the PFM tool, edit the faction ownership and custom battle tables, the unit appears in the battle however as geala mentions above they seem have no animation and appear as a stiff cross like figure with weapons at their feet.

E.g. I added the vampire unit to the empire, the unit appears - however with no animation in the battle.

Was hoping someone may have encountered this already and would be able to provide a fix please?

    Cheers

I found the solution of this problem,
open the pfm and load from db
    culture_to_battle_animation_tables_tables
this game is different from the others because of the animation are grouped for culture so if you want to add an units from one faction to another one you have to add the animation of that units to the new selected faction
    exemple:
wanted to add the grail knights to empire:
open the culture_to_battle_animation_tables_tables here you will found two columns, in the first one there are the animations of units, while, in the second one there are the animation group: so for add the grail knights animation to empire you have to created a new row in the first add the grail knights animations:
    hu1_grail_hr1_warhorse_lance_sword_shield
in the second record the empire group of animations:
    wh_main_emp_empire
so the grail knights will have their animation in battle if used by the empire
