    Default Classical MOD>

Ok, i know, i'm gonna get flamed, like every other thread. However this engine is solid, however I am wondering if there will be a Classical mod? I love antiquity and the ancient setting of of Rome: TW. Therefore I am wondering if somebody is makin a mod to compensate for that, while using the same engine(which i think is good)???

    Just asking.

Check the Hosted Mods section in the Mods Workshop, there is one there.

There aren't really many differences between the two engines, at least not many noticeable ones. The lack of clone armies is nice, but really not enough to justify a mod. The individual unit animations would be nice if they worked, but they don't (just look at the two-handed weapon situation). Throw an assortment of other problems (passive AI, lack of unit cohesion) and your best bet is to just keep playing Rome: Total War with one of the great mods developed for that game, especially seeing as how the M2:TW patch appears to have been delayed yet again. It could be quite some time before some of the major problems in M2:TW are worked out to the point of developing a mod that replicates a superior game already released.
