    Default Total War Tabletop Experience, a TT based modification.

    Hi all there !

    I've been enjoying the game since launch and now I'm modding since around 1 month, and holy that's a blast !

    So I come here today to present my work to you guys. It's far from finished but I think you could have some good time with its current state.

    Then, what is it about?

    Well, as its name could suggest, it is a modification aiming to recreate teh atmosphere of a Warhammer Fantasy Battles game into Total War. Not because the game isn't good but for me and perhaps for you, who are fans of the TT and the lore, some deliberate choices made by CA, be it to gain time in development or just from a balancing persperctive, are rather weird or simply absurd.
    On could easily be the state of the Dwarf Miners in the vanilla game. Where does CA see that a Miner is a weak as a goblin?

    And honestly, there are many cases like that in the game. Personnaly I have enjoyed the game really much since launch but those kind of absurdities are more and more difficult form me to not do something.

    So, the mod is in v0.49.7 and is I am really close to begin the modification of the Campaign part. For most of it, actually, it is MP focused modification.



    What does the mod present in its actual state? Well...


    - Completely reviewed Magic spells, Miscast and mana costs, for all currently existing lores.

    - All speed values of the units have been changed and adapted to make more dynamic games, based on their TT values.

    - All melee stats have been modified following a new calculation from the TT.

    - All damage and armor penetration values have been changed. All are adapted from a formula based on the TT characteristics.

    - HPs values of the entire roster of the MP units have been changed to better represents the disparity in the different armies. Of course, big monsters have way more HPs and mounts give extra HPs to the characters.

    - All costs of units have been changed to achieve better balance overall. Their costs adjusted to their new potential.

    - Morale rules have been modified to allow longer battles but the lord is even more important than before. Don't let him be killed !

    - New armor values for all units. They are adjusted from the TT to somewhat allow a degree of uniformity so that players won't be completely lost. The armor value corresponding of a 4+ save from a Heavy armor + shield for a Dwarf would be the same for any other unit equipped in the same manner.

    - All factions have their special and rare units limited to 4 for special and 2 for rare units. There are some exceptions to this rule.

    - Artillery are more fragile but are more lethal than ever. They are extremely vulnerable to any mobile unit thought.
    They are extremely specialised.

    - Dwarf Miners are as good as Dwarf Warriors with great weapons and now can only be spotted at really close range, to represent the fact that they are normally underground. Can be really useful, in combo with the spear head deployment.
    Good way to take the ennemy by surprise and to get their arties.

    - Bretonnia a very intimidating force now... Grail Knights and Pegasus Knights are really nasty. Espacially since they can benefit from the Blessing of the Lady...

    - Chaos Warriors are as mean and brutal as they are in the TT. Tiny army but extremely lethal.

    - Goblin Fanatics are the killers they always should have been. Beware if you play Bretonnia and the Empire especially.

    - Gyrobombers are the threat they should be. Their bombs are extremely poweful against infantry.

    And many more new things !

    Update 0.49.9 is out and features Dwarf Rangers and the Lord of Change, some magic spells balance and cost balance for some lords. New Icons for Long Beards.
