With the release of Total War: WARHAMMER, I have been enjoying the game immensely but now I am wondering where will we go. I know the most logical of choices are either more units, characters and playable factions. So I think we should be making guesses of possible legendary characters for not only future factions but also of the current factions

Luthor huss was technically a "hero".

What i'd love to see is 3 leg. Lords per faction.

Empire: Grand theogonist volkmar on the FRICKEN WAR ALTAR BABY!

Dwarfs: who's that special character who has the runesmith table? Totally forgetting... i'd like to see him, with the table as a mount

Orcs: give me a gobbo lord, skarsnik maybe? He's a sneaky one, so his abilities would be pro-ambushing and tricksy manueveres

Bretonnia: the green knight!

Vampires: honestly i'd love to see another von carstein even though their supposedly dead. Vlad is my favorite. Is neferata interesting?

Chaos already has 3, and I also don't know much about their special characters.

High elves have got to be Tyrion, teclis, and allariell, but I absolutely love eltharion! Idk it'd be hard to decide.

For skaven, i'd like Queek headtaker, Thanqual, and the plague lord (forget his name), maybe deathmaster skitch as like a lord level assassin

What do the people always bring up Throt the Unclean,
did they change anything with this character?
In my Skaven book he is just a little over everage beastmaster with a funny weapon but nothing special.
I think guys like Snikch (Assassin) or Throt (Beastmaster) are not realy Generals/Commanders leading an Army.

As Lords/ Generals I think of
Thankquol (Mage + Melee)
Queek Headtaker (Melee)
Lord Skrolk (Plague Lord) (Melee+Mage)
Ikit Claw (Mage)

And after Chaos has 3 Lords, they could give the Skaven the same amount.

I used a mixture of 4th edition up to 8th edition army books because it would be great to acknowledge the lore before that great debacle of the End Times. In my opinion GW should of expended the story away from the old world and onto the factions that never got their chance in the spotlight or were forgotten like Kislev, Cathay, Ind, Estalia, Araby, Nippon and Tilea. There could of plenty of opportunities for stories in that we never got to see and thank to the End Time we never will.

I would love to see these minor factions in some form, at least with a bare bones unit roster. The End Times and especially Age of Sigmar really do make me depressed not just because of how terrible the game and lore are now, but because we never got to explore these factions.

I did some similar research some time ago, with following ground rules
1.)The charakter has to be alive around 2500 IC +/-3-5 years
2.)The charakter has to be a Lord choice, able to lead armies. [since the current LL roster are all 8th edition armybook Lord-choices. No exception yet.]

As long as CA does not show they take other criteria, "dead-dead" Lords like Vlad von Carstein or Isabella are "out". And as long as we do not see CA take "heroes" for LL, they are also out (so no Krell for example). Charakters like Fleix & Gotrek are also out (no Lord choice and not even fit to rule & lead. They are mercenaries and adventruer). Charakters, who actually had rules could be better choices, then charakters who did never had any rules.

Belakors 8th edition rules made him available for DoC or WoC. But he does not fit into the WoC roster imo. He would make an excellent "undivided" LL for DoC on the other hand, since every other Lord there would favouring one specific god.

I really dont know much about warhammer at all aside from having played mark of chaos and mordheim briefly.

Are there any interesting lords that would truly offer something quite new and different? That is what I am hoping for.

I really like the handsome young prince of the chaos, because he goes against type. That adds a lot of character to me.
So for any faction, I'd really like to see lords that offer something different and wont appear very similar to another already playable leader, but only wearing a slightly different helmet or hairstyle. A female leader would be also quite neat and would offer variety.

I would have a braingasm if they bring out tomb kings. Settra all the way. VC could use Zacharius. Empire Volkmar. Dwarves not really sure haven't played them. For the orcs I wish Morglum Necksnapper was a lord but Scarsnik and Gobbla would be awesome. Wishlist for next factions Tomb Kings High Elves Skagen Brettonia or Ogre Kingdom and Wood Elves or Dark Elves

Not lord choices but named heroes you can bring to your army and have their own sorta quest chains as well....

Yeah if they put heroes in then they have to be in. Just like when they release Skagen then they should do Deathmaster Snikch. Now rolling around a doom wheel and toting a Vermin Lord sounds badass.

A list of vampire counts legendary lords without Krell? (Yes I know he's a hero on the TT, but still, Krell is great) I am disappointed. Though I'd prefer to see Neferata first.

As for the Skaven; I'd certainly hope for Ikit Claw, just to see his warpstone fuelled power armor in action.

The first two Lizardmen LLs will almost certainly be Kroq-gar and Mazadamundi; the fightiest Saurus of them all and the frog who one day looked at a map, thought the continents were in the wrong place; then did a ritual to shift the tectonic plates and obliterated the first dwarven empire (entirely by accident mind you) as a result. One fighty lord and one spellcasting lord seems to be their pattern. I'd also suspect that the Tomb Kings will first get Arkhan and Settra for much the same reason; with Khalida being DLC.

So you are hoping for certain factions not to show up? What about those who love the Tomb Kings or Lizzardmen? Rather selfish hope I think.

Same thing goes with Undead. Vampire Counts is my favourite faction and I don't want them getting mixed up with Chaos. They also wouldn't be caught dead (excuse the word play) allying with Chaos.
