The Siege of Bitterbridge
The armies of the Stormlands lay siege to the castle of Bitterbridge, the seat of House Caswell. Light cavalry are deployed as screen, archers are ordered to watch for ravens flying from the castle and attempt to prevent them escaping.
The construction of light ladders begins.

Lord Baratheon approaches the keep, flying the banner of the Seven Pointed Star to indicate that he wishes to open negotiations with whoever is in the castle.

A party of equal size rides out from the keep stopping in a neutral zone just short of the enemy archers.

Re: The Siege of Bitterbridge
Steffon rode up towards the party, accompanied by his uncle and retainers. He was clad head to toe in steel plate, and his greatsword was slung over his back. Removing his helmet, he gave the Caswells a stern gaze.
"You will surrender this castle within the day, your forces shall march out and hand over their weapons. If you do so, you shall be treated with mercy and honour, and none shall be harmed." With a grimace, he gazed up at the castle walls. They would know they were outnumbered, heavily, with more than twenty thousand Stormlanders encamped outside their walls. "If not... Then I am afraid I shall have to take it from you, in the name of the King."

The castillian nods his head looking at the sheer number of men Lord Baratheon had brought.
"You say no harm will come to those in the keep? Fine we will do as you ask."

Steffon nods his head, and watches as the garrison march outwards, emptying the castle of weapons and handing them over to the Baratheon army.
"We shall need a proof of your loyalty, Ser. A hostage must be taken, to ensure your House's loyalty to the crown. I swear on the Seven that no harm shall come to them, should you uphold your oath."
Baratheon stated dutifully, as he gazed piteously at the man who stood before him. Surrendering to an enemy was not easy, and handing over a hostage was doubly difficult.

"Take my son and leave!" he says "Leave to let your King tear the Reach apart once again."
