I mean that's smart. They built in the locations of the other regions by default.

    That's cool!

Also, it confirms that the world will be a single map, not like the America/europe/india thing we had in empire total war

I would love if it wasn't so bunched up. Maybe if it was just a bit bigger. It seems they really focused on the old world.

Great find mate that seems about right. But I guess the south and east side of the map will be added in the second game which will be a standalone, I wonder how they can do that. If you don't own the first game you will have a huge hole in the middle of the map. Lustria campaign won't be a problem since it will be self sufficient.

I'm not sure how they'll go with their idea of separate games with this map. It's all so bunched up. Maybe you are right that the map will expand even more, or perhaps this isn't the final version of the trilogy but only an idea they had.

I bet they will instead just only unlock playing as the first 5 faction's if you own the first game.

I mean they really can't have a standalone game with the east and south, with a huge hole in the middle.

Also they can't only give us the east, because it's small and it only has 1 or 2 faction's in it: the chaos dwarfs and the ogres.

The south has tomb kings, maybe skaven if they decide to make them an above ground faction

The map seems a bit scrunched, so maybe this is just a general plan?

It might be a general plan that gets replaced later of course. Best case scenario: we get map expansions east and south as DLC for this total war game, giving us Tomb kings and Ogre kingdoms. These two are somewhat secondary factions, but they are very interesting and different. So I could see it going either way: having them be part of the next huge Total war release, or being DLC factions.

Dark Lands +part south is quite large and populated.

So we have the usual greenskins tribes, which we can throw near everywhere over the map. We have at least one Skaven lair. We have three interesting positions for Undead.
-Silver Spire, for Neferata and her Lahmia brood.
-Nagashizzar, for Arkhan the black, a generic other Nagash underling or maybe Nagash himself.
-The plain of bones with Vorags fortress. Vorag was an old special charakter http://warhammeronline.wikia.com/wiki/Vorag_Bloodytooth
We have also plain Chaos and/or wildling tribes to the north, maybe a daemon spawn point if the winds of magic are right and of course the "main army" of the dark lands would be the Chaos Dwarfs with their fortresses, outposts and slaving expeditions. And then we would have a great many Ogre tribes in the eastern mountains of mourn

If included, the Dragon Isles also could cover wild Lizardmen

If the map for the south/east expansion is shaped like this
    http://www.bilder-upload.eu/show.php...1457177465.jpg
we could throw in Araby, a High Elves outpost and whatever creeps in the Southlands (wild Lizardmen, Forest Goblins, Wildlings)

And lets remember that the whole "old world" is covered with only 5 1/2 armybooks atm, only 4 1/2 playable. It could function if we have "only" Ogre, Chaos Dwarfs & Tomb Kings. Thrown in some NPC Undead/Greenskins/Chaos or possible Skaven. Question is: How much map can they really cover in the end? People are praising the old world map as running smoothly and turns not taking to much time. But if we have the two expansions later with all the other territories, factions and maybe even naval battle? They have "compressed" the old world already in some points and bits. Bretonnia is missing territories and "factions" as example

Shrinking the "Dark Lands" or maybe Arabay to get rid of to much desert is possible. Time will tell, how CA sees the map and what to expect.

The colourfull picture above has at least the minimum borders (Nehekhara/Arabay, Darklands until Ogre Kingdoms but no further, and parts of Naggaroth & Lustria as "Headquarters" for Dark Elves & Lizardmen without covering parts of the continents who are not so interesting (since GW never flashed them out themselves). A shame that we will not cover the whole world but maybe the modding community can later include the eastern kingdoms (Ind, Nippon,Cathay) with own content/troops.

I don't think they will add the western lands, like high elves, dark elves, and ulthuan without doing some naval combat battles.

Naval battles are extremely important to the high elves, being an island nation. They would use navies to fend off chaos, dark elf, and orc invasions.

I get that we don't need it right now for old world only, but the high elves do need it at least, or some insane buffs to naval combat in campaign mode.

I'm hoping we get the east/south expansions as DLC within 1 year, adding 3 more playable races at least, although that's probably unrealistic.

The whole point of splitting up the game is that people are more willing to spend 60 bucks on a full standalone game with 4 faction's in it than they are to spend 15 dollars on each of the 4 separate faction's. It's kinda stupid, but it's smart on CA's part
