    I thought I read everything about this game and I watched over 20 houtrs of gameplay. How could I miss this? I am so happy right now!

    That was a problem that came and went with Shogun 2 for me; 5+ desyncs over 2 LAN campaigns, and only once in 3 campaigns over the Internet. Hasn't reappeared in S2TW:FoTS, R2TW, or ATW for us.

    I doubt youll realise, CA release version on MP usually have 10 - 20 min turn times for AI

    Are you still running dialup? Or is your Pc just crap because my buddy and I play coop all the time and its 10-30 sec tops for ai turns. We do not enable "view ai movements" and it works just fine. No desync either.. We have done campaigns lasting 100 turns plus.


    My only concern is not having 2 good factions to coop with. I mean Empire and Dwarves but when will you be actually assisting one another? Seems like you will be fighting different enemies on different fronts. I always liked doing coops with factions that were historically joint ownership factions or at one point were the same empire or will become the same empire. For instance Antony and Egypt or two Arab or Goth factions.


    Hoping with faction mods my friend and I can be two different Dwarf clans allied against the greenskins.

    I wonder if you can play co-op with two different lords of the same faction...probably not because of the same start position

    Either Magnar or Dresden were invited to make a mod for Warhammer pre-release specifically for that purpose, so you can both play co-op with same faction but different lords.

    I'm playing a coop campaign with a friend now using the legendary lords unique starting positions mod. My friend is Manfred and I'm Heinrich.

    We're about halfway through. Coop battles are a lot of fun, your friend spectates and you can give him units to control.

    There are numerous complaints that quests do not trigger/cannot be completed when using the mod. I'd really like to try it, but not as long as it's broken.

    Plus, I'm also interested in playing a versus MP campaign.

    Haven't had issues, been a blast.

    I think the racial quests don't work for both players, but you don't really need to do those anyway. They're sort of tutorial battles.

    All the item quests still work.

    So, how does the MP campaign work? Is it stable? I know the startpos mod is fubar atm, so I won't even consider using it until it gets fixed.

    When playing head-to-head, does either player control each side in battle? I.e. both attacker vs defender being human-controlled? I know that in co-op, the player attacking/attacked can delegate units under the other's command and the two play vs the AI.

    just the storyline quests that give you gold to conquer x territories, and some of the racial battles, all gear quests still trigger. main reason those don't trigger is because your victory conditions change in coop, it's conquer or raze 60 territories, field 200 units combined, and individually research 12 techs.
