I am curious what features fan of Hegemonia are most excited for and what features devs think are most inovative, creative, or inspire the most pride.

I am just excited about the whole Greek concept. I love Ancient Greece.
By the way, what is a 'dev'?

What Punic invasions are you reffering to? Where would this be Sicily, or are these campaign fictional invasions? Hopefully, you can answer this since it is more of a gameplay than a script question. Also, great job keep up the AWESOME work!
The Carthaginians may not need much scripting to expand on sicily, since they start there, but if we notice a failure to move in that direction we'll script the arrival of troops from the mainland. Historically the battle for Sicily was a fierce one indeed, with the various Greek powers assisting smaller cities against the Carthagians. The city centric warfare on Sicily lead to the development of some of the world's first siege weapons, and saw the use of the hoplite in more varied armies necessary to match Carthage.
As for Persia there will likely be alot of scripting to do there, but again- need to wait for team wide beta testing.
Believe in Hegemonia... Or the Megarian will get you.
is there going to be a background scripting like in EB, such as longterm movement will result in a loss of movement points due to exhaustion and lack of supplies, or movement points very hindered during winter.
The later yes.
