    Default MAP Goodrich Castle

    I made a map to celabrate the release and tryed to make it as medieval as possible with the models i got.

    2vs2 land battle (make it siege when CA fixes the siege nodes)

    UPDATES

    v1a
    -added more farmfields
    -added a archery range
    -changed some foliage
    -----------------------------

    - added more forest surounding
    - added more building near the church
    - added more trees
    - added more FX
    - changed ground textures
    - closed of the castle
    - done some small stuff

    - finished more terrain
    - changed player count to 3vs3

    -opend up the castle again
    -removed a not working bridge
    -made front gate already destroyed effects from the siege
    -added burning houses near the gate
    -added some more foliage
    -added coble stone roads in the castle
    -changed army starting positions to ever army there own "create's awesome battle's"
    -almost finished the inside of the castle (only small things left)
    -made small stone walls near town indestructible because they don't cumble on inpact
    -made towers and walls with rocks under them indestructible

    -added dirt roads
    -added more FX like bees, fog, flies, and water effects
    -finished the siege camp and defence's
    -closed of all houses where units where able to move trough
    -closed of the rocks

    Looks like the castle cannot be entered without breaking the gates because it has to be a land battle. The walls cannot be mounted by units. The market stalls do collapse. The rock formations and houses are not functioning as obstacles as seen in screenshot. I think Kjertesvein had difficulty as an attacker of commanding his troops to enter the castle over the drawbridge and through the gatehouse.

    It instantly reminded me of M2TW fortress. Pretty cool.

    Thx for the feedback Yeah I forgot to to draw no-go zones around houses but since it's a land battle"Because siege battles are not working yet" i was thinking for now to make the castle a whole no go zone and only fight around the castle.

    I have a quesion for you mappers: Can you unpack siege maps, then edit it? I heard Attila T'Ed is much buggier compared to S2TW's though

    The concept was done in Shogun 2 as this mod:

    In essence, He made the siege maps in S2TW better by unpacking the siege maps from the game's data, edit it using T'Ed, then packing it up again as a mod, in effect replacing the vanilla siege maps with his edited one. The guy who made it, Weierstrass, is relatively active as a S2TW modder here in TWC. Try to ask his advice from his S2TW T'Ed experiences, even though of course there are differences, it might be still helpful. Some S2TW mappers even put EFlines on the ground without buildings to make garrisonable trenches.

    If this is viable, then next custom buildings may be viable too, just like what Primergy did for N&S II:

    Yep that sould be possible but since Atilla,s editor is so buggy and alot is stil not working how it sould, I don't think it will work now but can always have a look at it.

    Custom models sould all work, But it's only possible to make land/naval battles because siege nodes are bugged and ambush/fleet assault don't even work.
    So i do hope CA updates there tools because of the mapping possibilities with good working tools are huge and then i can really make some awesome maps because i have enough idea's!.
