    Hello, dear Tsardoms fans!

Over the last month or so, I hadn't been able to focus as much on the map. But now things are starting to get back on track.
Right now I'm in the Alps. It's pretty hard to make them look good, have the right amount of mountains and vegetation while also allowing roads for land trade. This is an early pic of how it looks so far:

I hope you guys like it!

Thank you for your patience and loyalty to this mod.

I think it looks splendid! How does progress go in term of percents?

    Thanks a lot, Bardas!

Being completely honest, I can't really say, because some places demand a lot of time while some others demand way less. I couldn't even guess. The more I map, the more the time remaing seems unpredictable. For example: good news is the basics in Italian Peninsula are done; bad news is the remaining parts over there are the most difficult and time consuming.

Awesome models, just a little suggestion for the byzantine leaders: as far as i know red boots are reserved to the emperor, and also i think an helmet instead of a crown is more relistic for all their the battle models.

Thank you. And well that IS the emperor so the red boots are quite fit for him

Sorry, i thought it was the classical emperor-hero-general combo, that's why i wrote that comment. @kingsmen: The purple in middle ages was closest to red than violet like in the modern times, and is called "tyrian purple" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyrian_purple

Huh.. I didn't know that. After I googeled "tyrian purple" it showed me images of the present day purple. I always thought that the modern day one was always the colour of the Byzantine Emperors. Was it also very similar to red the tyrian purple worn by the classic Roman emperors?

If you look at the linked article, there's a photo of late roman mosaic with justinian wearing a tyrian purple tunic, https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped.../Justinian.jpg
and also this imperial banner showing a middle age emperor wearing the same color http://www.lisa.gerda-henkel-stiftun...g?t=1277205153
    and there's
11th-century Byzantine robe https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...e_griffins.gif , always with the same color. That's why i think it's the best option.
