It is why we are here in the end. To educate people about history of this part of Europe which is less famous and present in popular history, especialy in Anglo-Saxon countries.

I must say I am glad someone made a comment on the actual campaign map, and not centered around the great geography education in Murica.
Thank you a lot, Tartaros! TGC map is really good as well, so it's great the receive a compliment from you.
lol, at some point i´ve had many sardianian and corse settlements all over the map,
after i disbanded and replaced them in corse and sardinia.

After looking at it a lot, the map looks great, but I wanted to point out some logical things.. firstly, the Balkans and Anatolia are extremely green and lush.. as if it is jungle.. and on the map it also makes it appear that the Balkans and Anatolia are the same climate as Switzerland and Austria because the same geography and color. I submit that the Balkans and Anatolia, especially the Aegean region, as a person that lives in Greece, should have more tan or brown in the terrain, even rocky, and it should be increasingly so the closer it gets to the cost. The Aegean islands should definitely be more brown and rocky as they are basically rocks sticking out of the water lol. Definitely not so green. This is just something that I noticed while looking at the map and comparing to what I know of these areas in real life
Antonius, paleologos and Tartaros, thank you a lot for your kind words! I put a lot of effort on it, so the recognition is always appreciated.
And yeah, those high mountains always takes lots and lots of trial and error until they get shaped the way you want. Specially when there are bigger clusters because the engine sometimes groups them in moronic formations different from what you intended haha.
@IVSTINIANVS, like I told you, your input is welcome if made in the Developer Forum, not in the public one.
It's an awesome work!
I would love to see EBII with a map like that!
What's the general state of readiness on the mod? Is there much more to be done?
We have selected a group of testers who will begin alpha testing in a few weeks time. There are still lots of bugs and issues (for example some factions die off too quickly due to the black death or due to rebellions) but the mod is playable.
It's definetly not finished but its close to the vanilla gameplay experience at the moment. We just want to make sure its stable and playable first. After that we add scripts and extra things. For example we have a brand new administration system and a tiered title system for the provinces.
Oh this sounds exciting!

That's phenomenal! So all the work & perseverance of the team will pay off. That would make 2020 one of the best years ever
