    WEDDING AT YRONWOOD
    262 AC.

Dayne's schemes were unfolding before his violet eyes. The wedding between Dayne and Yronwood would tie together the strongest houses of Northern Dorne, joining by marriage two of the oldest lineages in the princedom; both being former Kings subdued by the Rhoynish invasion and the machinations of Martell. Everything was ready and furbished for the ocasion and the halls of the Bloodroyal were splendidly prepared for the ceremony and the celebration. The ceremony itself was to be hold in the castle's sept under the watchful gaze of the Seven and carried over by seven septons, fourteen septas and twenty one acolytes. Everything was grand and magnificent, the walls covered by the joint heraldry of the fallen star, the sword and the portcullis. Everyone dressed accordingly, with their best and richest garments, moreso considering soon thereafter Lord Toland would be married to Lord Dayne's cousin.

Every noble in Dorne was invited and a city of tents had been erected in the grounds before the Yronwood wondrous fortress. Canals had been dug and water brought from the river nearby, refreshing the air around to the silken tents and providing the guests with a water supply. Lord Yronwood's domains were bursting with activity, a myriad servants busy preparing the greatest event in the year. Enormous pabillions had been raised for the smallfolk, who would be fed at the expense of both Dayne and the Bloodroyal. Hundreds of cattle had been sacrificed and were now roasting themselves over large bonfires. Almonds, saffron, sugar, roses, grain, rice, apples, oranges and many more goods were being carried to the immense kitchens of the castle. The feast was incredibly grand in scale, as befitting the union of the greatest houses in Dorne, only below Martell himself.

Dayne oversees the activity from a balcony. Night was close and the sky was red as blood...

All of the noble houses of Dorne had been invited to the tremendous festivities, along with the Prince himself. Lord Yronwood sat on his throne on the dais, seated next to his bride to be. Dressed in the finest of silks and obsessively groomed by his servants, Cletus looked every inch the lord that he had needed to be. It looked as if everything was unfolding favourably for him; his sisters were now married off, out of the picture, and he himself had secured a marriage with one of the most powerful houses in Dorne, with a beautiful wife to boot.
Watching intently as his guests laughed at drunk their fill, Cletus shifted nervously in his seat, glancing momentarily at Alyse before once more shifting his gaze to the festivities. He was acutely aware of all the customs of a wedding, and tried to disguise the nerves that set him on edge. Unlike his brother, Cletus did not have a myriad of male drinking companions to set him at ease with wine and banter. Instead, he had Lord Dayne - his new father-in-law, and perhaps the most unsettling person he had ever met.

Dayne had left the main table, welcoming many guests and chatting with most of them. Most meaning all those rich enough to diserve his atention. He was laughing and chatting with Lord Toland, his cousin by marriage and soon-to-be father-in-law to his son, Anders. Dayne wore rich silken cloths, in gold and purple. He spared no expense and wore rich jewelry, including a heavy necklace inlaid with diamonds. He returned to the main table after Lord Toland's presence was required by his new wife, Dayne's cousin. Aron sits and looks back at the Bloodroyal:

"My dearest son, I hope you're enjoying the feast. Your seat is splendid and your servants exquisite"

Lord Aron had eyed a maid before, likely the reason behind his long absence. His daughter barely eats, too nervous to focus on the myriad dishes served before her violet eyes. Her comely figure was covered by splendid robes and her eyes matched the amathists on her ear and hair. She looked at her father, somewhat unsettled. Dayne laughs.

"I need some grandchildren my Lord. Hope you will provide them"

He grabs a chalice and looks around.

"No trace of our beloved Prince"

There was sarcasm on his voice?

Cletus gave an anxious smile, and nodded weakly at the mention of grandchildren. Yronwood had scarcely noticed Doran's absence, and was perhaps too nervous to even care. But the tone in Lord Dayne's voice caught his attention.

"I hope he does deem it fit to attend." Yronwood replied, his voice bereft of any kind of tone. With a deep breath, he relaxed his shoulders, and sunk slightly into his chair.
"Did you mean to speak with him of something, Lord?" Cletus asked, once he had plucked up the courage to do so.

He smiles again, but his eyes doesn't. They're like the ice from faraway Winterfell. Cold and unforgiving.

    "I hope he does"

    He raised a finger.

"If his highness arrives he might witness the proven might of his nobility. He will have to comply to our demands"

Dayne could very well kill the prince and place his young brother under a regency. But he wished not, Dayne rather wanted to impose his will by the sheer strenght of his house and will.

"Our most beloved prince needs a tutor in these troubled times. A lord protector as they call it in the Northern realms"

He grabs a fig and eats it with delight. He then cleans his long fingers in a linen cloth.

Watching Lord Dayne with a cautious gaze, Yronwood sips on a cup of water, his appetite empty for the time being.
A tutor, or a regent, Lord Father? Cletus had thoughts, but did not voice them, instead choosing a more neutral answer.
"I wish him the good health that has been afforded to us."

Emphyria and Ryon look at Yronwood and the sprawling tent city established outside of the walls of the castle solely for the wedding. "Brother, you mentioned the other day Lord Dayne appeared at Godsgrace while I was away?" Ryon nods. "Yes, Emphyria. He offered a marriage between one of your daughters and his son Anders..""..who he has betrothed to the heiress to Ghost Hill. I suppose he reconsidered as I was not there to negotiate it." Ryon looks back at the moderately sized group of horsemen and two wagons making their way over a hill to catch up with the two Allyrions, before nodding."Probably." Emphyria nods in agreement with her brother's words as they ride back to join the caravan flying the banner of House Allyrion along with those of it's vassals in it's approach to Yronwood.

Upon arrival, the caravan divides up into two groups, those heading into the sprawl of canvas stretching outside of the walls and a group heading into the castle, led by the two Allyrions present. Emphyria takes a moment to adjust her dress, a black and red silk dress made in Dornish style, and the teal to dark green turquoise jewelry she is wearing before entering the main hall of Yronwood along with her husband, who after the Allyrions are led to their seats, excuses himself to go visit with his relatives from Ghost Hill. Ser Ryon, wearing a crimson and gold silk robe, remains close to his sister along with Ser Chorayne, her captain of the guard.

While their vassals go off to mingle with the gathered nobility, the Allyrions quietly sit and observe the proceedings for now, having noticed their prince has not arrived yet.

    He pats his son-in-law shoulded.

"Indeed, indeed. We all wish that"

Or an eary death if he is too cocky and doesn't yield.

"If he doesn't come it would be a grievous offense to us both, my Lord. Hopefully he will be reasonable and will attend"

His violet eyes dance through the hall, scanning those present. He raised the chalice in salute to his brother-in-law, Lord Fowler.

Lord Yronwood notices the new arrival of his vassal, performing his characteristic awkward shuffling on his throne. He hadn't seen Lady Manwoody for many years, since he was a shy boy with a dashing older brother. Cletus clenched his fist in frustration of his own thoughts conspiring against him, the unwanted contrasts with Yorick washing through his mind.
I am the Lord now. A lord with a wife. Repeating the thoughts inwardly, he realised that he had been aimlessly staring. Clearing his throat, he sought to occupy himself by reluctantly picking at the exotic assortment of fruit on the feast table.

"Cousin Dayne," she said jovially. Cousin, Brother-in-law, they had been all. It was confusing but that was Dorne. All these snakes crawling over each other. "Congratulations, all. What a wonderful series of events!"
Then she looked to her overlord. What a shame. Yronwood was but a bad rip-off of his elder brother, whom she had deeply fancied. "Welcome to the family." she said to him on the same chatty tone. "And what did I hear? Did you ship your sister off to the cold North?" she openly gossiped. "How ghastly! I can't imagine how one can survive there."

"I thank you, gracious Lady Allyrion. Your gifts are most welcome."
Cletus responded graciously, relieved that he could talk to someone other than Dayne. Taking the jewels in his hands, he admired their quality, before handing them to a servant to store away for safe keeping.
"Now, be merry." He continued, gesturing to the festivities that were ongoing.

    Ye gods.

With a squint, Cletus tried very hard to process the words of the chatty, charming, and quick tongued Lady Manwoody, a thin smile stretched across his youthful face.

    "Well, not quite..."
He managed, trying desperately to put himself at ease. "My sister has always been adventurous. To be truthful, the Northman practically carried her off." A jape, but a believable one.

She laughed with a contagious laugh, "Well let us not forget, they are tree-worshipping barbarians." she joked. The poor lass was not helped with it, alas. Well. Sarella now only could hope that she married a rich lord, the gods knew their land was as barren as ours. "She will be alright." she said to him. "A dornish woman alway lands on her feet."

Cletus allowed himself a chuckle. He was quite glad he had gotten rid of his sisters. They had always preferred the Rhoynish customs of succession - a dangerous notion.

"She will manage. Yronwoods always do." Bright green eyes studied Manwoody intently, but with an expression that was purposefully difficult to read.

Perhaps last of the noble arrivals, a column of riders appear from the east, waving banners colored like blood oranges. Amidst those, there are some others; yellow lemons on purple, spotted leopards, and so forth. Notably missing from the Salt Dornish procession were any tail-biting drakes, for Lord Toland had refused to show up to the wedding due to some recent slight.

The core of the riders were knights from Sunspear and Planky Town, swathed in silken colors suggesting their allegiance to the spear. Eventually the young leader of House Martell came into view, with a notably silver-haired retainer at his side [(that's you, LD)]. There was no sight of the tawny-haired Elinor Martell, their princess, but none expected to see her, for the word in Dorne was that a disease had taken her ability to rule, though in what manner.. no one could say for sure. Most Dornish nobles had not seen her in public for the better part of the past decade, anyway.

The knights largely peeled off as the horsemen came up before the mass of tents, but the prince and a handful riders continued forward, not dismounting. Doran would be greeted as he stood upon his horse; a place of power, he had decided. He sat the horse as stably as he could, and to most onlooking as he rode into the wedding area, across from the stands where nobles thronged together, he appeared an able horsemen - perhaps taking after his father.

In truth, his right hand would not cease shaking, ever so slightly. It could not be seen unless you stood beside the young man, but he still pushed hand against the saddle, where it hid behind the ridges of the seat. The five-and-ten heir of Dorne was dressed in salwar trousers and a tunic of linen and silk with cotton design wrapped around the lower torso. A great crimson scarf-like garment was wrapped from his right shoulder across his torso and under his left arm and around his back to the right shoulder again, forming an esteemed overgarment. A clasp shaped as a sunburst held the garment in place. His tunic was coral and aureate, and the trousers darker, closer to a burnished amber that did not attract the eye away from the wearer.

Following the young man closely, Yros of Lys eyed the scene, haveing so far seen barely any other rooms than the court of Sunspear. It was notable for him that these rooms were grand and magnificent as well, but seeked to rival the ones of the other Palace.
When it would come to the time, he would announce his master in front of the guards and the nobles (if BF allows me to do so, as I assume there is no need to be modest).
"Prince Doran Martell, the Lord of Sunspear and Prince of Dorne", he called out solely, while remaining otherwise silent afterwards.

Spotting the arrival of the young Prince, Cletus observed carefully, noting his preferred seat atop the steed as he rode through the centre of the hall. Doran was not much younger than himself, and he couldn't help but feel sympathy for the new arrival. They had all lost in the war against Maelys, but the Prince of Dorne had lost more than others. His gaze flickered to see Dayne's reaction, before he rose from the elevated seat on the dais to greet his liege. Quieting, the guests watched apprehensively to see the encounter unfold.

"Welcome, Prince. We are honoured by your presence." Cletus announced, striving to make his voice as loud and authoritative as possible, whilst steel keeping a generous smile on his face.
