Icon1 The Great Pirate Fleet of the Narrow Sea

A great coalition of pirates, sellsails, and merchants, grafted together by the iron will of the Band of the Nine, and put under the imposing control of Samarro Saan, called the Last Valyrian. An awkward and fragile arrangement, the fleet is bound together by oaths and promises of plunder, but most of all, fear of Saan and reprisals from him.

At the head of it is the greatest warship to ever grace the Narrow Sea, a monstrosity of bastard Valyrian craftmanship, named the Weeping Lady.

(Timestamp: 5:00 PM Pacific Time, May 2)

Coming into view on the horizon as a long stretch of grey and green, the northern coast of the Bay of Crabs held a town called Gulltown, the largest settlement in the Vale. Samarro had been here a few times his life, though he held no distinguished memories of the port town, for it was small and quaint as far as he was concerned.

But it was important to trade and commerce to the Andals of the region, and the Last Valyrian knew there'd be burghers and rich merchants wherever there was trade and commerce.

The fleet sailed in towards the port town, cautious at first, attempting to see what they could of the town; was it well defended? Were there many warships or dromonds at the docks? Any flags of note, such as the red dragon on black? Such flags did wave from the masts of many if not all of the vessels in the fleet Samarro Saan commanded, for their foes and friends to see.

After they arrive, a skiff comes racing after them, with a letter sent from Storm's End by raven.

So this town is sworn to Maelys, thought Saan, what a shame.

So the fleet raises a white flag and approaches with Saan's personal warship, the Weeping Lady.
Docking, Saan has a letter sent up to the Graftons, and then the ship returns to the fleet, which sits anchored around the port like a blockade.

[OOC: I'll be asking for a raid (or assault) roll on the town if LD's Arryns do not respond with an affirmative "yes" letter to the demands I just sent them. The fleet would be attacking by ship, via the open port/harbor, but the town is fully aware of their presence, as they're blockading the town now.]

    To Lord Grafton of Gulltown,
as we fight for the same side, grant the man, what House Arryn can provide. Lord Aurane would be displeased if you allow our allies to raid a Valesmen town, while benefitting by the will of King Maelys Blackfyre.

Ser Rodrik Egen, Steward of the Eyrie in absence of Lord Aurane Arryn, Warden of the East
    [Signed and Sealed]
To Samarro Saan, Master of the Narrow Sea,
we hereby grant you full controll over the present vessels at Gulltown.
The majority of the Vale's fleet is currently operating within the Riverlands, while on orders of Lord Aurane new vessels were crafted to aid the fleet.
What can't pass the Trident due to its sheer size is supposed to wait near the Quiet Island. Since all the commanding Arryns are busy anywhere else to bring King Maelys Blackfyre his rightful victory, you have to convince them on your own terms, if they are important for your plans.

Ser Rodrik Egen, Steward of the Eyrie in absence of Lord Aurane Arryn, Warden of the East
    [Signed and Sealed]

Saan hears the words spoken to him in Valyrian by a translator, reading from the Andal tongue.
His expression reveals a bitter frown more and more as the Eyrie's response is read aloud, and the Lyseni warlord stares at the Grafton who handed it to him for a long pause, glaring at him, before striding away back to his warship.
    I'll get those damn ships

By the end of that same day, the Last Valyrian's armada was sailing away with the rears of their powerful vessels facing the port, sails pulling into the west. The crews were eerily quiet, when one remembers how loud and crude the vessels were when they arrived at Gulltown.
