    Default BRAN'S NAPOLEON BATTLE AI MOD

    Per request here is the Battle AI settings from Bran Campaign Mod for those who want to use the BAI stuff and not the Campaign stuff. Enjoy Better flanking, fatigue-units do not tire so quickly,better line formation and unit cohesion on the march,deadly melee attacks,cannister that shreads formations,morale units will fight and regroup.
    In Movie format so just unpack it into your Napoleon Data folder.1/10/18

    Nice Battle AI,


    i've tested your Battle AI for a few days.
    I am impressed. (played on normal and on hard difficulty)
    Have been playing Napoleon Total War for a couple of years
    and this is a first that i really got my ass kicked.
    With 20 units battles.
    Especially with 40 units battles.

    Also combined with your Campaign AI on hard.
    Got beaten pretty early on. (40 units battle's)

    Just two minor complications....
    I see that riflemen don't take much of a flanking position. (since they can shoot at longer distances)
    Also i don't see much infantry doing square formation when attacked with cavalry.

    xXairwolfXx-There is no need to use both mods-The campaign AI mod already has the Battle Ai in it. So just use the campaign Ai mod.
    This mod is for players that want to use a battle ai mod with the vanilla game. There is nothing anyone can do to make the units form square that is hard coded behavior. The game developeres should have made it if Cav gets within 150 meters then units form square. Make sense-but we are dealing with a developer that cannot make a logical battle ai.-never has. They dumbed down these games for kids and casual players and not hardcore wargamers. Thanks for trying out the mod have fun

    I'm tweaking and playing with the stats a little.

    What's the "melee penetrating/piercing" divisor may I ask?

    I'm assuming by lowering it, while raising projectile penetrating/piercing divisor (and lowering melee attack stats/increasing musket range and accuracy) would have the AI calculate that melee would cause less damage than shooting thus is more advantageous for them to fight properly instead of spastic zerging in melee all the time.

    I'm gonna play around with them and test, but this BAI is a great base to work off. Big rep +

    UPDATE: New Morale and Fatigue settings. Units should not get too tired too quickly and keep their formations tidy and also will be more scared of artillery fire. post #1
