    Default Arthur Fowler's Smoking Lounge

    Smoking Lounge

When Arthur arrived in King's Landing, he decided to invest his money in an stablishment typical of Dorne: a smoking house. A place where gentlemen can relax sitting on big cushions while smoking from the narguile.
Here you can find him if you need to speak with him.

    Arthur Fowler
    Arthur Fowler, Princely Envoy
    born in 225 A.L.

Arthur is Lord Fowler's younger brother. He spent most of his life in Sunspear's court, serving the Princess. When Prince Doran left Dorne to squire for his uncle in the capital, Arthur was amongst the nobles sent with him and was told to look after the young prince and help him in any way required.
When not in court, Arthur is in one of his smoking lounges, his main source of income in King's Landing.

A royal envoy appears at the Smoking House, it appears Fowler was being offered the Mastery of coin.

Arthur received the royal envoy and informed him he was glad to accept the offer. Fowler asked him if he needed to visit the King in the Red Keep so to make it official

The Envoy shook his head. "The King will be marching in a few days, he is currently organising his hosts. Just report to the Small Council Chamber and inform the Regent of King's Landing of your appointment. The king gave a sealed note for you."

The envoy hands him the note, befkre hurrying off, eager to be ready for battle.

Arthur grabbed the note and saw the man leave in a hurry.

He sat in one of the cushions and had a couple of drags from the narguile, while he thought what to wear for his meeting with the Regent.

Alone, a figure in a white cloak appeared in the den, accompanied by two men-at-arms in yellow and orange livery.
The dark-haired kingsguard scanned the first room of the lounge, seeing loaded patrons sprawled out on ottomans and pillows beginning to get nervous at the sight of a member of the king's own.

Ser Lewyn stepped through the lounge, making his way around the pillows and bodies as gracefully as he could, looking for the face of Fowler.

He was recognized by one of Arthur's employers who took him to Fowler's office, in the back of the stablishment.

Serrah Fowler rose up from his chair and bowed his head when he saw the knight enter.

"How can I help you, Ser Lewyn?."

The kingsguard frowned, beginning to show some frustration.

"Where is Fowler? This is urgent."

"I am Arthur Fowler, mylord. The other Fowler is a couple of miles away, in the Prince's Pass."

OoC: I used Serrah like Sir, or Mister, not like a name. Dunno if that confused you. Sorry

OOC: It did confuse me. Did you get that from Morrowind? lol

Ser Lewyn's brow furrowed as he actuallly looked at the man, then looked surprised.
"Apologies, Arthur. I did not recognize your voice, it's been a long day."

He took a seat without asking, his armor clanking against the chair as he relaxed.
"Arthur, the king is marching tomorrow. I cannot take my nephew with me. That leaves you in charge of him."

"I see. I will take care of his needs. I will soon move to the Master of Whisper's chambers, so I'll be closer to Prince Doran."

Arthur nodded his head while he listened to Ser Lewyn

"Has Princess Elinor communicated in any way with you? Any orders for our people here in the Capital?"

    "Good." Nodded Lewyn.
"Don't worry about my sister; sit tight for now."

    The Martell leaned in, intense.
"Arthur, right now, you have one job in the eyes of Martell; If this city set under siege, then you will get my nephew out at all costs."
    He blinked, pausing, watching Fowler.
    "Do you hear me Fowler?"

Arthur remained calm despite Lewyn's intensity

"I understand. He'll be safe with me. Anything else, mylord?"

The white-cloaked knight relaxed and sighed.
"Nothing really. Just the usual," he looked around the room aimlessly, "don't do anything to dishonor your homeland."
He grinned as he said that last, his eyes glancing over the shapes of highly incapacitated figures amidst clouds of smoke.
"Prince Beren may become Hand - if he can get here, that is."

"Those are fine news, indeed. It is good to see Dorne's political presence increase."

Although that would mean nothing if the Usurper defeated the King

"I have a question. Does the Princess want me to keep an eye on someone in particular?

    Arthur said, almost whispering.

Lewyn thought about that for moment, scratching beneath the collar of his armor. A bead of sweat made its way down his right temple.

"Just the usual," he repeated, "If someone is of interest or threat to Sunspear, keep an eye open."

Mormont's man is told that Arthur has left the city and that he is currently unavailable, but that his business is being tended by an associate. He is offered a meeting with this associate

The Northman is disappointed that he isn't able to speak with the man himself, but delivers the message anyway.

"My master Lord Mormont would like to contract the merchant's services to procure for him a trade agreement with the free city of Myr far away in Essos. If your boss would be willing to help House Mormont procure a Myrish trade lane, 10,000 dragons would be payment upon successful completion of his assignment. Have your boss send a raven with his reply."

OoC: Can't do the trade route stuff, Arthur is like on a secret mission on Oldtown, wouldn't make sense for him to teleport to Myr. We can work another arrangement out, though

Arthur's associate was a former Gulltown customs worker. A very smart young man.

"I understand that Master Arthur is unable to travel at this moment, mylord. But trade agreements are not our only service, we are also designing an urban development plan to offer to Lords and Ladies such as of those of House Mormont. Would you be interested in that?"
