Ironoaks, also known as Ironoaks Castle, is the seat of House Waynwood in the Vale of Arryn.
It is located east of the Eyrie and west of Old Anchor and is situated by a lake. A river runs east from the lake to the narrow sea.

Yohn is the current Lord of Ironoaks and has been for thirty years. He had three sons and a daughter, but all the boys died over the years. The eldest fell of his horse and hit his head, the middle one was lost at sea and the youngest hung himself when his lover left him. Yohn's wife died soon after his youngest passed away. Only him and his daugher and heir, Gwynesse, remain at Ironoaks.

Mathis arrived to find out that Lord Waynwood had passed and that now Gwynesse, his last remaining child, was the Head of House Waynwood.

He was taken to the Great Hall, where Lady Waynwood was holding court.

"Greetings Ser Waxley. Welcome to Ironoaks." She said with a calm and sweet voice

Ser Mathis had hoped to speak to her father, this would only make his offer more difficult. He was shown to lady Waynwood.

He bowed lowly for her and raised again, while looking at her. "My lady," he began speaking. "I Humbly thank you for accepting to see me. Please accept my condolences, I've only heard great stories of your father, he was a just ruler, a honourable man."

"I thank you for your words, Ser Mathis. My father always spoke highly of the Waxleys, it is good to see the feeling was mutual."

    She smiled at the man

"Now to matter that concerns us now. What has brought you to Ironoaks?"

"It is the future of house Waxley and house Waynwood what brought me to Ironoaks today," he said. "As you might have heard, my sister recently wed Ser Raymar Royce. My other sister is to be wed to Lord Jon Arryn. It can't be long before they are wedded and bedded. Now my brother and I set out to find a wife for yourselves." He bowed down on one knee. "I would humbely ask for your ladyship's hand in marriage. This marriage will provide both our houses with powerful alliances and it will give your ladyship the opportunity to continue your line; for I am a second son."

Lady Waynwood's eyes opened widely. He had surprized her with the proposition but not in a bad way.

"Would you be willing to take my name, Ser Mathis?"

    She quickly explained herself

"I mean, If we marry, our children will inherit Ironoaks and I can't allow for this castle to be ruled by anyone but a Waynwood."

"Of course, my lady. A house like yours is too old and to grand to die with a beautiful leader like you. It would be my honour. It won't be charity, as I said, a second son like me would gain a lot to be a consort to a powerful lady in her own right."

A letter arrives at Ironoaks, requesting Lord Waynwood to the Gates of the Moon.

(RP, which will get into rolling, once we officially know about the battle in KL.)

With the war having come to an end and letters from the Eyrie arriving at Ironoaks, men of House Arryn would deliver at some point the promised sum of 10,000 Dragons as reparations for all Vale Houses.
The same ammount of money would be handed out to all vassals of House Waynwood to compensate the loss of men during the previous war.
