I had used to think that Iberian Assault Infantry were a unit from an ancient build as I had never been able to recruit them from Africa where I have my barracks. I found out that they are only recruitable in Iberia this has made myself think about something. In Iberia and other places where Carthage had taken control of outside of Africa they did not import Libyan soldiers to live there (to my knowledge), but Libyans who were native to Africa are recruitable in places as far away as Baktria so long as you have cultural influence. This is furthered in PoR where Libyans are a class of people in the Carthaginian society. That has given myself theiIdea of having Libyan units like Libyan Infantry and Libyan Hoplites Africa like how Iberian Infantry is only recruitable in Iberia. This leaves the issue of Carthage not having good mid-low tier Libyan units empire wide, this could be solved by having versions of them with the same purpose of giving mainline units to areas that would be realistic for Carthage to have taken such as South Gaul, Italy, Greece, Egypt, and other areas of the Mediterranean. "what about the areas that Carthage already conquered IRL such as Sicily and Sardinia-Corsica" you may ask. Then we already have good info as to what the people that Carthage recruited were like and would be easier to make the regional unique. Of course Carthaginian units would still be available empire wide. "What about areas that like Germany or Baktria that are very far away" May also be asked, this is indeed a very good question, I think that it would have to be Carthaginians either using their citizens in their army again or it may not be necessary as at that point in the game you already get a discount to mercenaries to be not that bad.
This is less on topic and is a question, are Campanian Cavalry intended to be in 1.1 or 1.2 or were they forgotten?
