THE HIGH SEPTON
"I am the voice of the Gods. The manifestation of the will of the Seven on Earth. I transcend Kings, tower over Lords, and rule over Septons, and yet I walk among the common man as their equal. The Gods' Will is My Will. My Will is absolute, for who could challenge the Will of the Seven themselves?"
"I was born a minor nobleman. Our lands were poor, and I was my father's seventh son, furthest from anything meaningful. Even proper marriage. I was taught the blade, the pen and the scripture. I ran wild, fighting, ing, drinking and gambling. And yet, I never neglected my studies. I loved books and I loved knowledge. I knew the tales of the Conquest by heart, I memorised the legends of the Age of Heroes, I obsessed over the stories of great wars and battles, both won and lost.
I grew up, and I was lost. I was the youngest, with no prospect of inheritance. So I went to Essos. I went to war. I saw and did terrible things. I eventually returned home and, sick with the depravity of war and killing, I rediscovered my love of knowledge. So I went to Oldtown, I went to become a Maester. I loved it! More books than I could ever read! I forged chain after chain after chainsome knowledge, however, should never be touched. But my lust was insatiable. I thought I would never be found out. I thought I was invincible.
I was wrong. Cast out and shamed, I returned home. My father was happy at my return - he had never wanted me to be a Maester. My brothers were not. The were already engaged in a secret war for our land, and the wanted no more competitors. I slew my brother in self defence. My father understood, but he was heartbroken. I could no longer bear his sad demeanor, his failing health. So I left for a third and final time.
I roamed the realm. Nothing more than a wandering hedge knight. Eventually, I landed at the doors of a septry, cold and starving. The Brothers took me in, fed me and clothed me. I was taken aback. Men simply did not help other men. I was grateful, and the brothers suggested I joined the Faith as a Septon. I was truly thankful, but I had no great love of the Gods, I was far from pious. I was not tempted until I witnessed the power that the Faith wielded over the people. I was surprised, and I was immediately taken in. I joined the Faith, traveling to King's Landing so I could be closer to the centre of the Faith's power. My talent as an orator was quickly recognised, my youthful and handsome face loved. I quickly rose to prominence, determined to wield power.
I was one of the Most Devout when we chose Vaith. I had been the only other contender, but eventually I was thought too cautious, too slow to needlessly confront people. The Faith had rocked from the attack of Aerys, and they wanted fanatical extremism. I didn't care. I knew he wouldn't last long. I waited my time and poisoned him once it had become clear Steffon Baratheon had lost. I thought that would be the end of it. I thought I had won, but another ruled for a single year. I had been beaten in the election for a second time.
He proved himself totally spineless. He allowed Tumbleton to burn and Footly to hang. He let Blackfyre attack the Holy League, the Lords sworn to our cause. I poisoned a second High Septon, and this time I struck. I bedazzled the Most Devout with both my caution and my fire! None stood before me in my third election, and none wanted to. They believed they finally had a High Septon worthy of the Faith. They were right. I am the High Septon, and I refuse to allow our power to be crippled. I refuse to be controlled! I am the High Septon of the Faith of the Seven and I bow to no man. Not even a King."

House Haigh, Knights of the Cape of Eagles
Name: Ser Meldred of House Haigh
Alias: Ser Meldred the Black, the Darkheart Knight, the Whoreson
Age: 32 (born 240 AL)
Marital Status: N/A
Children: N/A
Traits (8 points): +2 Duel, +2 Battles, +2 Pillager, +2 Survival
Major houses have their reliable knights and trained dogs that serve them without question; the Lannisters have the Cleganes, The Baratheons have the Conningtons, and, in times before, the Targaryens had their Velayrons. Yet in the lands ruled by Frey, they have the Haighs, or rather more specifically, Ser Meldred Haigh. Meldred rose to prominence after the death of his father, a weak and content swornsword of Lord Frey, Ser Randyll. At his father's funeral, his son did not weep, but publicly spat at the grave of the deceased Randyll, cursing his name loudly for three days straight. When word finally reached Lord Frey of this, the rise of the Blackheart Knight would begin to ascend. Ever since entering into the services of House Frey, Meldred rode into battle, either leading his own men or standing as a bodyguard of the Freys, whether it was the Lord of the Twins himself or one of his sons. He became a loyal, yet vicious, hound of House Frey; for Meldred was a man who once ripped a man's arm off for cheating at dice and who was said to have drowned his own brother for speaking out against him.
Despite his brutality, his cruelty and his tendency to wind up drunk at brothels, Ser Haigh has kept his oaths to House Frey, continuously serving them time and time again, no matter what the task once. He usually grew fidgety if standing idle, howled with laughter while gambling and snarled fiercely in battle. Over time, he gained a reputation, earning such nicknames as Whoreson Haigh, Meldred the Black and the Darkheart Knight. Even his servants grow weary if their master is quiet for too long or drinks too little. Yet he is relied upon immensely by Lord Frey even as others view him as vulgar, brutal and too dishonorable for service. Such voices that usually find themselves relieved of their tongues all too often for speaking even in the smallest of voices.

House Velaryon of Driftmark
Lord of the Tides and Master of Driftmark
House Velaryon of Driftmark is the oldest of the Valyrian houses to have made their mark on Westeros. A noble dynasty with a pedigree stretching back to the Valyrian Freehold and beyond into the mists of time, they made their way west, claimed the Driftwood Throne from the Merling Kings of old and established their rule as Lords of the Tides. They swore allegiance to the Targaryen dragonlords and intermarried with them frequently, an intimacy that saw them rise high when the Targaryens united the Seven Kingdoms and first forged the Iron Throne. Sons of House Velaryon graced the first Small Council and the first Kingsguard, and so long as the Targaryens ruled the office of Master of Ships was nigh hereditary in the family. Corlys Velaryon 'the Sea Snake' amassed a great fortune and great power, and would have seen his grandson Jacaerys Velaryon sit the Iron Throne itself - were it not for the whirlwind of treachery and kinslaying that made up much of the Dance of Dragons. That vicious war obliterated the might of House Velaryon and left the mantle to a legitimized bastard, Ser Alyn of Hull. Ser Alyn did much to restore the family's name and standing, smashing the Dornish in the campaign that won him the name 'Oakenfist', marrying the Princess Baela Targaryen and almost marrying her niece Princess Elaena Targaryen, on whom he fathered twins - before promptly disappearing at sea, never to be seen again.
The present Master of Driftmark descends from the Oakenfist and both his women. The fall of House Targaryen and the succession of the bastard line of Blackfyre is a blow to everything the Velaryons hold sacred and true, but they go on seeking a place in this new order, to not only survive but to thrive also. Like his predecessors, his knowledge of the seas and prominence in trade makes Lord Velaryon a man to be reckoned with, though how he and his family shall fare under the new dynasty remains to be seen.

Elis Hawk, Mercenary Captain.
Age 35
Bio: Elis Hawk is the daughter of Garvy Hawk, a Bastard of someone she never really even knew. He cared little about the fact that he was a bastard, and even eschewed normal bastard naming reasons to take the surname 'Hawk' which Elis took when she was born. Pragmantic man, he did not raise Elis as a girl, either one found in a village or a court. He was, by the time she came to life, the captain of a small Mercenary division called the Valaryian Ghosts. A proper battlefield brat, she grew up with one father, one mother, and several hundred uncles, teaching her things that no little girl should really learn, and Garvy never tried to stop them. The Ghosts grew in promanance as Garvy led them on more and more sucessful battles, truly earning the name as they slipped through the land as if they had never been there, appearing only to sow death and disbondancy, and then vanish again.
Elis was trained in the arts of archery and 'Ghosting' - as Garvy called it - when she was old enough to understand them. Reading and Writing were considered of less importance by Garvy, unable to do such himself. But her mother demanded it, and so the Captain paid for a tutor to teach her in her spare time. Growing up like this made a strange woman, one with her own small group of Ghosts to lead on small missions of light importance. Her, and this group, came to be known as the Wailing Banshees after a drunkard in a bar claimed women were only good for food, fornication, and 'wailing like banshees'. Elis proved she was good at breaking noses as well, which was amusing to her father.
However, life like this would not carry on forever. She was aware that the life of a Mercenary was dangerous, and was prepared for him to die in a contract gone south, but what she wasn't prepared for was an old friend selling them out to a rival company that had never been able to catch the Ghosts. Their secreted camp was betrayed, and a large host decended upon them, without mercy and with copious amounts of fire to burn the entire camp down to the ground. The Ghosts took a harrowing toll from their attackers, even when surprised, and dulled by wine and food. But they were eventually killed to the man, and their bodies burned to denial burial. The mercenary group was very scornful of the Ghosts skill and the reputation they commanded. It was this state that Elis and her Banshees found them, a day later after going to discussion with one of the Ghost's contacts. The heart-wrenching scene was quickly overruled by a burning anger so great she could have set the entirity of Westeros alight if it was a real thing.
She took her Banshees away from the burned out wreck of a camp after a few moments to pay respects to the ashes. She was never really religious, so prayed to no god. Simply scorned them all for allowing such a thing to happen. Now, she had a new goal. She would find the people who did this, take her revenge, take their lives, their possessions, their sanity, and she would take the coin of the many warring Lords to do it. To symbolize this new mindset to take, she renamed her men, the only remaining part of the Valaryian Ghosts company, The Reavers. Their goal, to take lives of those who stood in their way like others would take gold and jewels.

House SunderlandNot much is known of House Sunderland's history, they rule over the so called 'Three Sisters islands', their first recorded history began when the sistermen rebelled against the old king Ronnel Arryn and proclaimed Marla Sunderland as queen. However not long after Aegon's conquest of Westreos they deposed Queen Marla in favor of recognizing Aegon as their king/overlord, probably a wise decision as they were in no position to challenge them, and so they avoided bloodshed. During the war of succession house Sunderland supported Rhaenyra I against her opponent Aegon II which was a bad choice to make as Aegon won the war. During the fist Blackfyre rebellion house Sunderland supported the house of Blackfyre which was defeated, however house Sunderland was able to retain control of the Sisterlands, however the islands suffered badly because of the wrong choices made. The islands are noted for their roughness. They are popular with smugglers, traders, and sailors, but are considered to be dens of avarice and sin by the Septons. The House Sunderland generally follow a policy of piracy, isolationism and autonomy. More notably in recent history is the death of Lord Alavin Sunderland by the hands of Aerys II Targaryen for their continued support to the Blackfyre's, dying childless, his younger brother Triston succeeded him in becoming Lord of the Three Sister Islands. Perhaps it is time to seize power for their own and proclaim them 'Pirate Kings' as they once were before Aegon's conquest?

Status: Widowed.
Traits:
+3 Duels: Skilled with sword and lance.
+2 Battles: Hardened in two wars.
+2 Joust: Good rider with a straight aim.
+2 Survival: Fasting has weakened him; still, he's a robust man.
BIOGRAPHY:
Galladon Sunglass is a pious man from a house well-known for its religious zeal. When his mother died leaving his father a grieving widower, he simply stated it was the Gods' doing and didn’t shed a single tear. When one of his siblings caught greyscale and died, even after those many hours kneeling and praying by his bedside, Galladon didn’t lose his faith. When, a couple years ago, his wife fell from her mare and broke her skull, Galladon didn’t cry, for it was the All-Mighties’ doing. Sunglass always found solace in the Faith and struggled to become a better man, holier and pure. He embraced chastity, poverty, humility, obedience and subjected himself to the greatest mortifications to purify his flesh: he whipped himself, walked with pebbles on his shoes, fasted repeteadly and wore a cilice. Zealous, fanatic, with messianic delusions of sainthood, he was one of the many men who answered the call of the new Septon at King’s Landing. Profiting from his past as an anointed knight he offered his sword to the Shepherd, to serve him loyally and faithfully, considering him the one and true Voice of the Gods. He worships the Seven with a burning zeal and has consecrated his sword to the Warrior himself.
Ser Arrec Cole, the Half-Blood Knight
Name: Ser Arrec of House Cole
Nickname: Half-Blood Knight
Age: 42
Marital Status: N/A
Children: N/A
Traits (10 points): +4 Duel, +3 Survival and +3 Battles
Ser Arrec is a member of House Cole that has been in exile for a number of years; some say stretching back to the days of Aegon III when the Coles lost much of their power after the death of Ser Criston the Kingmaker. At some point, the family branched off, the main branch remaining in the Stormlands and the Crownlands, etching out a minor living. This cousin branch would spring up in Essos in the years to come since this schism and Arrec is among the fifth generation of this small family that now lives among the Free Cities. Yet Arrec did not follow the calling of a merchant, like his father, and sought the profession of a sellsword. He eventually made a name among the Second Sons and became known as the Half-Blood Knight due to his Westerosi father and Essosi mother.
Arrec is a cold fish to many; showing very few smiles and tending to keep to himself within the camp of the Second Sons. A good commander and a strong duelist, his reputation is still considered minor compared to many others among the ranks of the mercenary company. He is a stern fighter who knows only joy in battle and clashing blades. It was said that, if his sword were a woman, he would gladly marry her.

"Old Leo"
Age: 45
Traits:
+3 battles
+3 duels
+3 survival
+2 assassination
Old Leo was born in the slums of Flea Bottom, and has since made his name as an ambitious and greedy sellsword, assassin, and general blade for hire throughout Westeros and the Free Cities. He's served among more than half the Free Companies in the world, including the Bright Banners, Stormcrows, Second Sons and even the Golden Company during the War of the Ninepenny Kings, making him a veteran of scores of conflicts great and small. The countless scars across his body pay lip service to this. However, as all men know, there are no old, bold, sellswords, and Old Leo isn't afraid of saving his own skin when the odds are stacked against him.
