    House Baratheon of Storm's End

    "Ours is the Fury"

Steffon Baratheon, Lord of Storm's End

    Age: 24 (Born 236 AL)
    Marital Status: Unmarried
    Children: None
    Traits:
    +2 Duel
    - As a scion of the famed warrior Orys Baratheon, it is only natural that Steffon possesses an aptitude for swordplay.
+2 Battles - Steffon shows a keen interest in strategy, one that is yet to be tempered by experience on the battlefield.
+2 Survival - It seems that fortune tends to smile on the young Baratheon, sparing him on the Stepstones to fight another day.

Steffon Baratheon, born to Lord Ormund Baratheon and Princess Rhaelle Targaryen
, is the nephew of the current reigning king, Jaehaerys II. Tall and broad shouldered, with dark hair and sea blue eyes, Steffon epitomises the typical traits of the House Baratheon, as well as possessing the paler skin and sharper facial features of the Targaryens. Carrying himself with an eminent lordliness and authority, as befits the heir of Storm's End, Steffon's patient and warm demeanour masks a wroth that is fearsome when provoked. He has a strong sense of duty, honour, and loyalty, and is a dependable ally, who does not shy away from close combat (although he does not relish it). Steffon's true passions lie in hunting and falconing, as well as taking a keen interest in military stratagems.

Responsibility has been thrust upon the young Baratheon's shoulders in the most dire of circumstances. Accompanying his father on what was supposed to be a victorious campaign against the Blackfyre usurper, the pitched battle against the experienced warlord quickly turned to disaster. Ormund Baratheon was among those to be cut down by Maelys himself, with the army evaporating soon after. While Steffon fought with ferocity and valour, spurred on by his father's death, he was unfortunately captured by the usurper's troops, and now accompanies his hated enemy towards his ancestral home of Storm's End. In his absence, the castle is being watched over by the castellan, Harbert Baratheon.

    Harbert Baratheon

    Age: 50 (born 210 AL)
    Marital Status: Unmarried
    Children: None known
    Traits:
+ 3 Battles - an able tactician, Harbert has honed his ability serving House Baratheon in numerous conflicts.
+ 2 Scout - Harbert is well suited to light reconaissance missions and cavalry raids, being an avid horseman in his youth.
+ 3 Joust - Years riding horses into war makes a man adept at leading cavalry. Skill in a tournemant is merely a side benefit.
+ 3 Survival - A wily old stag, Harbert prioritises the survival of the House Baratheon over all.
    + 1 Duel - A competent, if uninspiring, duelist.

Harbert Baratheon, uncle of the current reigning lord, Steffon Baratheon, has been a loyal and capable servant of his family for his entire life. He is entirely devoted to his duty towards his nephew, having never taken a wife. In his youth, he was a wilder man, serving as a sword-for-hire, as well as participating in various regional tourneys. Since then, he has served the House Baratheon in various capacities, as steward, master of arms and castellan of Storm's End when the lord is absent.

    HOUSE BLACKFYRE

    -MAELYS BLACKFYRE-
    -
Blackfyre Pretender; the First of His Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men

    Biography and traits
    Born 218 AC (41).
    Status: Single.
    Children: None known.

    Traits (10):
+4 Duels (+1 due Wendwater battle)
    +3 Survival
    +3 Battles
    +1 Charisma

    BIOGRAPHY:
Born in 218 AC to Aenys Blackfyre and his sister-wife, Visenya Blackfyre and thus a grandson of Daemon I. With a dynasty torn apart by kin-strife, foiled rebellions and schemes his birth was eagerly welcomed. Visenya was prophesied to carry the heirs of Blackfyre, two twins destined for greatness unless they killed each other; that was of little concern for the proud princess as she died on childbirth delivering the long-awaited princes. However, any happiness was short-lived as the sole new-born was a monstrous deformity: unusually large and robust he had a too wide chest and a head sprouting from his neck, a vestigial twin. The kid was soon accursed and framed as a kinslayer, having eaten his twin and fulfilling the prophesy in the womb. Aenys neglected him, fearing the monstrosity born from his loins and afraid of what he could become. Strong and healthy he endured childhood without much trouble and became a grown man under the care of his father’s retainers, as Aenys himself had been executed by Brynden Rivers in 233 AC. They boy had the traits of a dragon, with liliac eyes and silvery hair, but twisted by his monstrous and devious nature, he had also inherited those traits more associated with the worst his dynasty could offer; an unruly child he became a violent young man, cruel, mean, spoiled and sadistic.

Tall as a walking mountain, strong and wide, with a twisted frame he became a fearsome individual and many had to suffer his dark mood and terrible wrath; servants were usually maimed and a long-time counsellor put to the blade. However, Maelys has a silver-tongue, and his words manage to charm lesser men to do his will; he is used to command and be obeyed. He always approaches people looking sideways, so they could not see the vestigial twin and is seen usually wearing ample, wide robes and long mantles to conceal it. Unless his wrath is unleashed, then he would face the unfortunate victim with his deformity exposed… Many survivors whisper that the twin gasps and frowns as the Blackfyre shakes and trembles in a fit of rage.

His life-long struggle was to gain control over the Golden Company and thus becoming the true head of his decaying house. Finally, he could best his cousin, Daemon, as he killed his destrier with a punch, breaking its skull, and twisted his head until was ripped from his shoulders. Every single captain of the Golden Company then yielded to their new master as he added his cousin’s skull to the exiles’ banner. Soon thereafter he crowned himself as Maelys I before the gathered ranks of the Golden Company, wielding the sword of his forefathers, Blackfyre. Daemon’s golden skull joined his predecessors', all of whom look silently and smile with golden teeth as Maelys’ plots to regain his final prize, the Iron Throne. Learning from his father’s and uncles’ many failures and demise he schemed extensively to gain the support of the whole Disputed Lands, finally forming the Band of Nine, so-called the Ninepenny Kings in Westeros.

    HOUSE TARGARYEN

    "Fire and Blood"

    Aerys II Targaryen
King of Andals, Rhonyar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Faith

    Biography and Traits
    Born 244 AC (16)
    Status: Married to Rhaella Targaryen
    Children: Rhaegar Targaryen

    Traits:
    +3 Battles
    +2 Charisma

    Biography:
The only son of Jaehaerys Targaryen, Aerys has been brought up in the standard princely fashion. He has a love for beautiful women, fine music and dancing. He has occasionally been remarked to be too found of his wine. Proud and vain, but intelligent and charming, Aerys has long been loved at court. Tall and handsome, he has often been adored by women. He does, however, have a thunderously black temper and a cruel and callous disposition when his ire is raised. He can go from being generous and friendly, to vicious and cruel in a very short space of time.

When Jaehaerys sent an army to fight Maelys the Monstrous at the Stepstones, Aerys begged for the chance to go with them. His father sent him at the head of a small company of Goldcloaks, knowing of his son's intelligence.

Aerys barely managed to escape the disastrous fighting that saw the Westerosi forces crushed, but escape he did, only to arrive in King's Landing to the news of his father's death. His rage and grief were unparalleled for 2 days, before he exited his rooms and declared that he was ready to be coronated, ready to drive Maelys back into the sea.

    House Arryn of the Vale

    Present House Arryn
As descendants from the once royal Andal House of the Vale, the Arryns benefitted for a long time from the Targaryen rulership and remained loyal towards them even during the First Blackfyre rebellion, when Daemon I. Blackfyre declared war against the kingdom, though at this timeline the forces of House Arryn faced a critical defeat at the Battle of the Redgrass Field. Over all the years the Arryns were still able to maintain the priviledged title as Warden of the East, while fights against the Mountain Clans still continiued and ended most of the times victorious when it came to driveing them back, though the last Lord Arryn had to lose his life sadly during one of the encounters against them.

With his eldest son Aurane Arryn in place, the proud family of the Eyrie looks at the latest victory, achieved by House Blackfyre against their Targaryen overlords in interest and curiousity. With solely a small force haveing been so far sent to the Stepstones, the Vale had not intervened for now in the war, as it seemed like the kingdom would be able to handle the efforts. Now, that the crown shows weakness when it came to it's iron hold over the Vale, House Arryn will plan their next steps carefully, as either the Black or the Red Dragon might step out victorious of this small Game of Thrones.

Maegor 'Brightfyre' of the House Targaryen
Son of Aerion Brightflame and grandson of Maekar, the First of His Name

    Biography and Traits

Name: Maegor 'Brightfyre' of the House Targaryen
    Age: 28 (Born 232 AC)
    Marital Status: Single
    Children: N/A

    Traits (7 points)
+1 Duel - Maegor, though a neglected member of House Targaryen, was still given a basic understanding of duels and swordsmanship
+2 Survival - The son of Aerion has had to fend for himself ever since he came of age. He has endured hardships at Kings Landing and Dragonstone before settling near the ruins of Summerhall.
+2 Charisma - The name Targaryen still holds a great amount of influence, even for one who has kept his distance from his kin and lived the life of an almost penniless fellow.
+2 Assassin - Living on the streets of Kings Landing and enduring the hardships of Dragonstone has brought Maegor in contact with those less honorable and whose lives depend upon the shadows.

Maegor was born of Aerion Brightflame and his father's cousin, Daenora Targaryen. His lineage is descended from two sons of King Daeron the Good, the Second of His Name. His father, famously known as Aerion Brightflame, was the second son of King Maekar; he was remembered as an arrogant man known for his madness and cruelty, who believed himself to be a dragon. His mother, Daenora, was the third child of Rhaegel, third son of Daeron II, who became Aerion's wife at some point before or during the reign of Maegor's grandfather. His ominous name and the cruelty of his father ensured that Maegor's claim to the throne was overlooked during the Great Council of 233 AC, which elected Aegon the Unlikely as the successor to King Maekar. The infant, Maegor, was looked after by his mother up until her death; ensuring that they were well cared for and their needs were provided during the reign of Aegon V. When she passed away, the young Targaryen was looked after his uncle, Aegon, for a period of time until, for reasons unknown, Aerion's son left the Red Keep.

Through the middle part of Aegon's rule over the Seven Kingdoms, Maegor was said to lived in Flea Bottom, his profession unknown and relationship with his fellow Valyrians also unknown. At some point, when the future Jaehaerys II was made Prince of Dragonstone, Maegor was said to have gone with his cousin and lived in a fishing village upon the island. Again, his relation with Jaehaerys and his Targaryen relatives was unknown. The Targaryen kept his distance, becoming a neglected member of House Targaryen and keeping contact with them to a bare minimal. Time to time, Jaehaerys offered money to his distant cousin, who only took what he needed to live and refusing the rest. When Aerys, son of Jaehaerys, became Prince of Dragonstone upon the elevation of his father, Maegor disappeared from Dragonstone, only to reappear a year later at a campsite located within the Stormlands near the ruins of Summerhall. Since then, communication between Aerion's son and the main branch has seemingly ceased.

His skills are relatively undetermined, records within the Red Keep indicate that Aerion's son was trained in the basic forms of dueling and given a modest education. After his departure from the Red Keep, the information upon Maegor goes blank and remains unknown to this day. How he managed to live on his own is something of a mystery, but his resilience and potential resourcefulness is noted by his late uncle and cousin, Jaehaerys. He was a Targaryen who lived among the commoners and never demanded charity, he managed to scrap a living and move from place to place without making a notable presence. The silver-haired Targaryen has remained at Summerhall, even as war wages upon the Stepstones and Maelys has landed in the Stormlands. The true loyalties of Maegor would eventually be tested; would he side with his kin and aid them in their struggle? Would he betray the relatives for the black dragon pretenders? Or would Maegor keep his head low as he has done for many years now? Time will only tell...

Due to his Targaryen lineage, Maegor was allowed to use the heraldry of his father, Aerion, earning him the name Maegor 'Brightflame,' some say it out of mockery while others speak of it out of ominous intent, due to both his given name and his ancestry with two mad Targaryens, Rhaegel and Aerion. As time went on, Maegor would sometimes identify himself as 'Brightfyre,' though for reasons unknown. Despite this, the Targaryen still remains true to his own lineage, but perhaps he seeks to forge his own destiny, separated from both Targaryen and Blackfyre.

    House Velaryon of Driftmark
Lord of the Tides and Master of Driftmark

House Biography House Velaryon of Driftmark is perhaps the oldest Valyrian house to have existed on Westeros. They are said to have traveled to Westeros and settled upon Driftmark long before the Targaryens fled Valyaria before the Doom. Legend has it that they claimed the Driftwood Throne from the Merling Kings in a pact made in times forgotten. Despite their long established presence, the Velaryons swore allegiance to House Targaryen and became a notable sea power for the Lords of Dragonstone. Their reputation on the seas, as well as their noted loyalty, made Daemon Velaryon, the first master of ships, and a Ser Corlys Velaryon was made the first Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. Their knowledge of the seas and prominence in trade made the master of ships almost entirely hereditary for House Velaryon as four of them served various Targaryen kings on the Small Council as Master of Ships. The Velaryons of Driftmark have remained staunch in their loyalty to House Targaryen through calm and rough seas.

    Character Biography and Traits
Name: Qoherys Velaryon, Lord of the Tides and Master of Driftmark
    Age: 43 (born 217 AC)
Marital Status: Married to Laena Velaryon (sister-wife)
    Children: 3 (2 boys and 1 girls)
    - Jacaerys Velaryon (Age: 18)
    - Aegor Velaryon (Age: 17)
    - Rhaena Velaryon (Age: 12)

    Traits (10 points)
+3 Naval Battles - House Velaryon are noted sailors and navigators who have sailed far and wide. Their reputation on the waters make pirates flee at the sight of their banners. Qoherys was born to, one day, command the fleet of Driftmark.
+3 Duel - Qoherys, who commanded the fleet of Driftmark before he succeeded his father, has dueled a number of pirates and slavers in his life time. The experiences making him a reckoned swordsman.
+2 Wealth - House Velaryon's monopoly on trade and sea ventures have made them rich and powerful. This tradition has continued for many generations, ensuring their prominence in the Crownlands and the Blackwater Bay.
+2 Survival - Time on the seas can toughen anyone up. Qoherys has done his part as a commander and a part of the crew and encountered a number of threats, whether they be rough seas or pirates.

Daemon Blackfyre, the Fourth of His Name
Formerly known as Maegor Targaryen, son of Aerion Brightflame and grandson of Maekar, the First of His Name

    Biography and Traits

Daemon the Fourth, wielding the sword, Blackfyre, during the Battle of the Four Armies

Name: Daemon of the House Blackfyre, the Fourth of His Name
    Age: 37 (Born 232 AC)
Marital Status: Married to Serra Blackfyre
Children: Maekar, Haegon and Daenora Blackfyre

    Traits (9 points)
+10 Duel (+8 from Blackfyre, +1 from Veteran Swordsmen, +7 health from Armor)
+4 Survival (+1 from Dark Bodyguard)
    +2 Charisma
    +3 Assassin

Fate has seemingly favored a single individual with unprecedented favor in this game of thrones. For he left Westeros as Maegor Targaryen, a forgotten scion of his family, after the death of Maelys and returned as Daemon Blackfyre, wielder of the ancestral blade, Blackfyre, and with the aspiration to one day rule as the Lord of the Seven Kingdoms. It can be said that the Seven truly have favored this individual for luck and fortune allowed Daemon to claim Blackfyre from the corpse of Maelys, to gaining a Blackfyre bride and eventually becoming the rightful King of Westeros through the spoils of victory.

Only a few know of his true identity, such as the deceased Steffon Baratheon, the late Lord Boremund Tarth, the late Shaera Targaryen and the present Lord Paramount of the North, Lord Rickard Stark. At large, none know that Daemon is truly Maegor Targaryen, grandson of Maekar I, whose own father, Daeron the Good, fought against the founder of House Blackfyre, Daemon I. It is a great irony that the great-grandson of Daeron II would one day become a Blackfyre himself and take up the sword to claim the throne. It is truly an achievement that after several claimants for the Iron Throne, House Blackfyre now sits upon the Iron Throne, all due to a Targaryen who had become distant from his family and angry at those who looked down upon him due to his given name and his relation to an insane father.

The reign of Daemon Blackfyre, in the year 269 AL, has only just begun and there is much to be done. Daemon holds a great grudge against the High Septon, who foolishly declared him a heretic and favored Steffon Baratheon, only to realize that the most Devout of the Faith flowed against the will of the Seven. He has killed a number of Stormlanders, which would surely earn him no love in the future to come. He truly does not know if Rhaegar lives or not too, which makes him wonder of what to do to prepare for what may come. The Seven Kingdoms remain disunited despite the victory achieved at the Battle of the Four Armies, yet the crown sits upon his head and Daemon alone stands as the one, true Lord of the Seven Kingdoms. Time will tell what his reign will become and what sort of King this Blackfyre will transform into. Although some have witnessed a ruthless, unforgiving and ambitious persona that lurks within the fabric of the King.

He has a number of nicknames; his opponent, Steffon Baratheon, called him the False Daemon, due to his true identity as Maegor Targaryen. Those within the Golden Company still remember him as Ser Brightfyre and Lord Bright before taking up the mantle of House Blackfyre as Daemon IV. However, there are two names that many of his supporters and the defeated could call the victorious king; Daemon the Fortunate and Daemon the Conqueror. For such a man to rise to the Iron Throne where others of his name had failed is surely a favored claimant by the gods themselves. Something that the king himself believes in, for luck and fortune have smiled upon him since the day he took up the sword, Blackfyre.

    ======================

An image of the royal couple; Daemon Blackfyre situated next to his Lyseni Queen, Serra Blackfyre. Their eldest son, Maekar, being held within her arms.

At some point during his time in Essos, when the man was still Maegor Targaryen, Daemon sought out a worthy bride and thought it was best to find a living female of the House Blackfyre. Fortune struck once more when a relative of the deceased Rohanne of Tyrosh told the Valyrian that there was one who lived, Rhaenys Blackfyre, daughter of Aegor Bittersteel and Calla Blackfyre, granddaughter of Daemon I. Traveling to Lys, Maegor would fight for the honor of having her hand as Serra's father was an Ormellon who refused the request. Though her hand was won through a duel, Daemon would come to love his wife who added to his legitimacy and gave him what any man desired, a wife and offspring.

In the year 264 AL, Maekar Blackfyre, named after the grandfather of his own father, the future crown prince was born to the young couple. He was eventually followed by Haegon, in 265 AL, named after Rhaenys former brother-husband and Serra's deceased Uncle, the claimant Haegon I, who died during the Third Blackfyre Rebellion. With the ascension of Daemon to kingship in the year 269 AL, a daughter, by the name of Daenora, who was named after Daemon's mother, was born to the royal couple, the first child to be born in the Red Keep.

    SNAP
    HOUSE WHENT OF HARRENHAL

    Background and recent history
Danelle Lothson, last of her line, embraced the dark arts during the reign of Maekar I. Instrumental in her defeat and death was a knight, formerly on Lothson’s service, Ser Walton Whent, who was then awarded Harrenhal and all its lands by the King himself. An aging and increasingly fat knight he was already on his fifties when he gained the lordship and had a large family. Lord Walton Whent was an amiable, kind and cheerful man, who enjoyed dancing and singing, while being fond of quills and books. Walton had many sons from his devoted wife, all of them born before his father became Lord of Harrenhal; Manfred, Walder, Lothar, Stevron, Steffon and Hoster. All of them but one died within a decade: Manfred chocked on a pie, Lothar drowned on the God’s Eye, Stevron was mortally injured in a tourney, Steffon fell from his horse and Hoster caught a pox from a whore and committed suicide a year after. Walton, devastated from that string of unfortunate events withered and died infirm and bedridden; his heir was Walder Whent, morbidly obese he died soon thereafter from a bad bladder. Lord Whent’s sole heir was his only daughter, Shella, but next in line stood his brother Stevron’s sons, Walter and Oswell Whent. Willing to avoid the castle falling into another house’s hands after scarcely two generations of Whent rule and to preserve her inheritance, Walton married his daughter to his nephew and named them both as heirs in his last will.

Shella, orphaned at young age was sombre and moody, but wilful, born to the late Sharella Butterwell an imposing noblewoman who had been her father’s second wife. She only begrudgingly accepted her husband’s hand by her sire’s imposition and felt that Lord Walton’s decision had in fact achieved the opposite of what he supposedly pretended: disinheriting her, for she only was Lady Whent by marriage. Lord Walter, on the other hand clearly took after his grandfather and was an open-handed, cheerful and boastful man, who loved more his hawks and hounds than his cold wife. None less, he performed his marital duties admirably, fathering three sons in little time, including two miscarriages and a girl who died on her first year and was buried in the Godswood. Lady Shella’s former beauty slowly withers with every pregnancy, something his detached and unresponsive husband cares little about if she remains fertile and capable of fathering even more children. Walter’s brother, Ser Oswell, became castellan of Harrenhall and the first sword of the Whents. He is a magnificent swordsman, resembling his father, and has a very distinctive black humour; he refuses to take any wife and has scorned many maidens, from a Blanetree to a Smallwood one. It's rumored he is in fact in love with one of his uncles' widow and thus either can marry her or accept another women as wife. There are several other grandchildren of the late Walton Whent in Walter’s household, including his and Oswell’s younger sister, Minissa Whent, and Hoster’s twin daughters, Wynafrey and Sarya Whent, both of whom were offered to Lord Frey as wives either for him or one of his many sons.

    Lord and Lady Whent

    LORD WALTER WHENT
    Born 228 AC
Status: Married, to Lady Shella Whent.
Children: Walder Whent, Manfred Whent, Oswald Whent.

    Traits (8):
    +3 Charisma.
    +3 Survival.
    +2 Joust.

BIOGRAPHY: Eldest son of Ser Stevron Whent is a cheerful, charitable, open-handed and party-goer man. Flamboyant and prideful he behaves as expected from a spoiled nobleman, spending with largesse and living with pomp and magnificence. Since his uncle died and he assumed Harrenhal’s lordship, Walter has partly restored the decayed fortress and once again all the fireplaces are lit in the Great Hall and songs are sung between the fortress’ towering walls. Walter is a tall and lanky man, with thin, long limbs, his head crowned by a mane of reddish curls. Still, he is no fool and knows his letters but, instead, Lord Whent choses to neglect the affairs of ruling his state and focus on minutiae. Surprisingly, he is exceedingly good at the courtly ways and is revered as Lord Tully’s most powerful vassal… to his wife’s dismay.

    LADY SHELLA WHENT
    Born 230 AC
Status: Married, to Lord Walter Whent.
Children: Walder Whent, Manfred Whent, Oswald Whent.

    Traits (8):
    +3 Survival.
    +3 Wealth.
    +1 Charisma.
    +1 Assassination.

BIOGRAPHY: Sole daughter of Walder Whent by Sharella Butterwell, who died while she was seven. Orphaned, forcefully married and deprived of her whole inheritance by her own loving father she grew distrustful, sombre and surly. Lady Whent watched as her youth and beauty vanish, labour after labour, buried between the black walls of Harrenhal. Capable and clever Lady Shella is a thoughtful and responsible administrator who carries the day-to-day management of her lands; while Lord Whent spends his days idle, stamping his seal when his wife tells him so. Even if she is the true ruler of Harrenhall and its lands, she bitterly resents her husband for being their house’s head and by law, its Lord. Shella is sometimes moody and aloof and some fear for her sanity once she becomes an elderly woman.

    First Sword of Harrenhal
    SER OSWELL WHENT

    Born 235 AC
    Status: Single.
    Children: None.

    Traits (7):
    +3 Duels
    +2 Survival
    +2 Joust

BIOGRAPHY: Ser Oswell Whent is Lord Walter’s younger brother, born during the rule of his grandfather, Lord Walton Whent. Oswell is a tall, lean and sinewy young man, with messy black hair and dark eyes. Less light-hearted than his cheerful brother, Oswell is well known for his moodiness and black humour, something that earned him more than a beating from his arrogant and stiff father, Ser Steffon. Oswell is House Whent’s finest swordsman since he was a teenager winning his spurs at young age during a tourney at Maidenpool. Skilled jouster, he is however a better duellist with both feet on the ground his weapon of choice being a greatsword. He refuses to take a wife; it’s rumoured that he is in fact madly in love with Lady Jayna Bracken, widow of his uncle Manfred Whent who died many years ago.

    House Lannister of Casterly Rock

    Lord Tytos Lannister
    Lord Tytos Lannister

Tytos Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock, High Lord of Cape Lannisport, Lord Paramount of the Westerlands, Warden of the West
Age: 40 (born in 220 AC)
Rank: Lord of a Great House
    Traits (10 points):
    Survival +3
    Capture +3
    Wealth +3
    Charisma +1

    Bio:
Tytos Lannister was the third son of Lord Gerold Lannister, and never thought of to become the next Lord of Casterly Rock. However, both his elder brothers slain during the Peake Uprising in 233 AC and the Fourth Blackfyre Rebellion respectively. This was not a position he was prepared for and would never be, which his lord father was well aware of. Gerold the Golden did everything to prepare his heir, but alas it was in vain. Tytos became known as the Laughing Lion because of his jovial attitude to life, but soon enough his vassals laughed at him. A weak-willed man and disgusted by war and conflict, he laughs away insults and insolence from those sworn to serve him. He is eager to please others and to see the good in everyone, to the point of naivete.

Many saw his weakness as an opportunity to empower themselves, and they proved to be right. Lands, wealth and positions were granted to people who had nothing but ill-will against the Lord of Casterly Rock. Some borrowed money and never bothered to repay them Many houses in the Westerlands grew in strength as the influence of Casterly Rock waned. Through it all, Tytos Lannister laughed and forgave them all. With the loss of his beloved wife Jeyne while giving birth to his son Gerion however, Tytos lost his nickname the Laughing Lion. Losing all interest in ruling, the Westerlands fell into chaos with roaming bandits and robber barons doing what they liked. Even the Iron Throne had to step in several times to quell the anarchy, but as soon as the king's forces left conflict erupted again.

The Westerlands answered the call to arms of King Jaeharys II and sent a significant military force to the Stepstones to fight Maelys the Monstrous. While his three sons Tywin, Kevan and Tygett Lannister commanded the army, Lord Tytos stayed at home and found new love with his new mistress, a lowborn wet nurse. With the news of the Targaryen loss against Blackfyre and the capture of his eldest son, Tytos became even more of a recluse and spent even more time with his mistress and giving her everything she wants.

    Traits (5 points):
    Battles +1
    Duel +1
    Wealth +1
    Charisma +2

    Bio:
The eldest son of Lord Tytos grew up having to deal with the damage his lord father had done to both his house and to the Westerlands. Everywhere he saw and heard how they mocked and defied the Laughing Lion, the Toothless Lion. Tywin became determined that this would not be the end of House Lannister and began training both his mind and body for the resurrection of his house's honor and prestige. He was sent to King's Landing to serve as the cupbearer of Aegon V and became acquaintances with other figures that would later become prominent lords of the Seven Kingdoms. At the very heart of the realm, the young Lannister would come to learn

When the War of the Ninepenny Kings broke out, Tywin joined the Westerlands contingent of the Targaryen forces, followed by his younger brothers Kevan and Tygett. His uncle Ser Jason Lannister led the 11,000 westermen against Maelys the Monstrous' host, a great warrior in his own right. The battle was a bloody mess, and it was soon clear that Blackfyre had won the day. Tywin was among the knights that made a glorious charge and broke through the wedge that the Golden Company had driven through their battle line. However, Tywin watched as his uncle was slain and he himself was stopped short of making it through. While his two brothers made it off to safety, the young knight was captured before anyone realized the eldest Lannister son was not among them. Those westerlander knights that were caught and surrounded were cut down without prejudice. Only his shining armor and sigil saved Tywin from being among the slain, making him a prisoner of Maelys Blackfyre, the Monstrous.

    Ser Cedric Broom
    Ser Cedric Broom

Cedric Broom, Sworn Sword of House Lannister
Age: 38 (born in 222 AC)
    Rank: Sworn Sword
    Traits (9 points):
    Battles +2
    Scout +1
    Pathfinder +1
    Survival +1
    Duel +2
    Joust +2

    Bio:
One of the many children of Lord Broom, Cedric had few prospects of ever inheriting his father's lands. Instead, his life would be devoted to becoming a famous and skilled knight, one for the history books to remember. The young Broom would grow up in Casterly Rock, serving as the page and later squire of Lord Gerold Lannister. During his time there, Cedric would become a close friend of Tytos Lannister, perhaps the closest friend the future Lord of Casterly Rock would ever know. The two grew up together and would come to appreciate each other. As Tytos took his father's seat, Cedric Broom stood beside him, ever loyal and watchful. The many children of Tytos, especially the boys, grew up worshiping Ser Broom as a great warrior that taught them the value of honor, chivalry and the mastery of the art of war.

Ser Cedric Broom respects the friendliness of Tytos Lannister, despite seeing the terrible consequences of his old friend's naivete. However, his loyalty is to the Lord of Casterly Rock and the Westerlands, an oath he intends to keep until the Stranger comes for him. An honorable realist, Cedric strives to uphold his code of honor in a world that has little respect for such virtues. As the squire of Gerold the Golden, by many considered the epitome of his house, one learns many things of the world and its inner workings. Ser Cedric would go on after his master's passing with further studies of the lessons taught to him. While Lord Tytos had abhorred them, his sons had eagerly listened to Broom, especially the oldest one, Tywin.

House Lefford of the Golden Tooth

Lord Harmund Lefford, Lord of Goldentooth - Deceased

Lord Harmund Lefford, Lord of Golden Tooth

Harmund Lefford, Lord of Golden Tooth, Bannerman of House Lannister

Harmund Lefford was never a great swordsman: even as a young man his skills lay with thinking rather than in his sword arm. While the other young noblemen sparred with swords and impressed the ladies with feats of skill, Harmund would read books. Books of strategy, commerce, politics, fiction, family history: if it was written down he would read it. The result was a man who was far more terrifying when in charge of soldiers than when amongst them, a man far more skilled at administrating than at sword fighting, and a man far more educated than most. His mind, not his sword arm, is the most dangerous part of this man. As Lord of Golden Tooth, he keeps the precious gold mines running and maintains his Estate with care, always ensuring that no enemy of the Westerlands passes along his roads unopposed.

Harmund's married life has been one of difficulty. His first wife was barren and sickly, but lived for some time. His second wife died in childbirth delivering Harmund his third child, who was born some time after the first two, and only daughter. Some whisper that it was not the wives, but Harmund, that caused the problems siring children.

Harmund was born in 190AC, and remembers many important events in Westerosi history. As a 6 year old he retains vague memories of the earliest Blackfyre rebellions and remembers vividly the horrors of the Great Spring Sickness in 209AC, claiming many lives including that of Lord Damon Lannister and the tense times of the Great Council in 233AC.

    Age: Dead
Rank: Head of House Lefford, Lord of Golden Tooth
    Total Trait Points: 12

Military Mind (Field Battles +3): Harmund has a keen understanding of the military sciences and is a capable commander of troops in any engagement.
Administrator (Wealth +3 [15%]): Harmund takes a personal interest in ensuring the local gold mines run efficiently, and uses his education to both improve efficiency or to seek out those who can.
Cautious (Survival +3): Harmund is no warrior and he knows it. While some would call him a coward, Harmund is not foolhardy with his life.
Organiser (Logistician +3 [15%]): Harmund knows how to move large armies quickly and effectively across all terrain types.

    Auxes:

Daughter: Lady Kyra Lefford, age 25 (born to Harmund age 53).

Kyra is the youngest of Harmund's children, being younger than her next older brother by a staggering twenty one years. Both her nephews are older than she, and her niece only a year younger. Though she is Harmund's daughter, she has in practice been raised with her oldest brother's three children who see her more as a sister than an aunt.

Lord Raymar Lefford, Lord of Goldentooth

    Raymar Lefford

Raymar Lefford, Heir of Golden Tooth

Raymar Lefford is quite the opposite of his father: much more interested in fighting in a battle than controlling it from afar. Like many young noblemen, he took great pride in being a skilled swordsman and spent a lot of time practicing his skill-at-arms. Mentally he is cruel and cunning, willing to kill to dispose of inconveniences and capable of calculated cruelty to realise his objectives. With his father ageing and becoming less able to actively rule, Raymar is more involved in the day to day running of House Lefford's affairs.

At the Battle of the Stepstones, Raymar fought among the Westerlands contingent but was left behind in the rout: he, like most of the Knights of the Westerlands, took part in the charge that broke through to the Targaryen centre, but was unhorsed early in the fight as his horse was shot from under him, and as such was not present when the charge broke the enemy line. As the rest of the army retreated from the field, the isolated Westerlander contingent was slaughtered mercilessly. Wounded and exhausted, Raymar was found alive and, appearing a Knight and thus a valuable hostage, was taken prisoner by Maelys' army.

    Age: 52
    Rank: Heir to Golden Tooth
Marital Status: Married to a Sarsfield woman.
    Total Trait Points: 12
Swordsman (+10 Duels [3 traits, 1 retinue, 4 weapon, 2 armour): Raymar spends a lot of time sparring with friends and trainers, and has acquired some skill with a sword as a result.
Agile (+10 Survival [3 traits, 1 retinue, 2 weapon, 4 armour]): Spending a lot of time sparring makes one as good at dodging sword blows as in dealing them. Raymar is quick on his feet and is able to dodge attacks aimed at him.
Military Mind (+4 Field battles [3 traits, 1 retinue]): Raymar has an understanding of battle tactics and leadership.
Popular (+5 Charisma [3 traits, 1 fruits, 1 retinue]): Raymar is a popular figure among the men he leads, providing him with a loyal following.
Administrator (+3 Wealth [retinue]): Raymar has employed a capable administrator to run Goldentooth's finances.

Equipment: Partial Plate, Sword & Shield Weapon

    Family of Raymar:
Wife: Lady Alyce of Sarsfield (Age 48)
    Son: Donnel Lefford (main character)
    Son: Ryon Lefford (main character)
Daughter: Serra Lefford (age 27, born to Raymar at 25) - Wed to Tywin Lannister

    Major Auxes

    Myles Pendric

A longtime friend of Raymar's, Myles is a cruel man and the third son of one of the Lefford vassal houses. As a child he would break the wings of birds before throwing them to cats, push children out of trees, and so on. As an adult, this only worsened, with heavy partaking of drink and whores, regularly beating them, he was even accused of rape and was saved from the noose when the girl refused to testify against him, probably through threats.

He survived the Battle of the Stepstones and retreated with the army, being one of the lucky few who escaped the massacre of the Westerlander forces.

Ser Donnel Lefford, Lord Commander of the Blackguard and Heir to Goldentooth

    Donnel Lefford

Donnel, eldest son of Raymar, stands to inherit Goldentooth one day. Donnel is much like his father in terms of capability for cruelty, cunning and ambition, but he is also friendlier than his father ever was. 5 years older than his brother, the two are in the odd position of being roughly of age with their Aunt Kyra, born to Donnel's grandfather Harmund at a similar time to Raymar's own children.

Donnel was among the troops at the Battle of the Stepstones, but was seconded to the Heavy Cavalry of the Reserve. As such, he was not with the Westerlands contingent that was annihilated, instead fighting the Blackfyre Heavy Cavalry that attacked Lord Baratheon's position. He joined the retreat from the field after Lord Baratheon was slain.

    Age: 35
Rank: Eldest son of Raymar Lefford, second in line to Golden Tooth
    Marital Status: Unmarried
    Traits: 9

    Duel +15 (+3 stats, +1 retinue, +7 weapon, +4 Armour)
    Survival +7 (+2 stats, +1 retinue, +2 weapon, +2 Armour)
    Charisma +4 (+2 stats, +2 Perfumes)
    Battles +4 (+2 stats, +1 retinue, +1 Dragonstone bonus)

Equipment: +7 Greatsword, Partial Plate Armour

    Ser Ryon Lefford

    Ryon Lefford

Ryon is the second son of Raymar Lefford and, as such, does not stand to inherit anything. He is much like his father, having grown up to become a calculating man capable of cruelty if necessary, but living with his brother has also allowed him to develop better social skills than his father possesses.

He fought at the Stepstones along with the rest of the Western troops, joining his brother in the reserve and thus escaping the worst of the defeat.

With Donnel having gone missing since the events of the Tourney of Castamere, Ryon has assumed the position of heir presumptive, until Donnel's whereabouts become known.

    Age: 30
Rank: Second son of Lord Raymar Lefford
    Traits: 8

    Duel +10 (+3 stats, +4 weapon, +2 armour, +1 retinue)
    Survival +7 (+2 stats, +2 weapon, +2 armour, +1 retinue)
    Battles +4 (+3 stats, +1 retinue)
    Charisma +1 (+1 retinue)
    Siege Engineer

Equipment: Partial Plate, Sword & Shield weapon, Retinue (Duels, Survival, Battle, Charisma, Siege Engineer)

    Auxes:
    - Lady Falia Kenning, Ryon's wife
--- Olenna Lefford, age 9 (born to Ryon at age 21)
--- Gerion Lefford, age 8, gifted (born to Ryon at age 22)
--- Erena Lefford, age 5 (born to Ryon at age 25)
--- Harmund Lefford, age 3 (born to Ryon at age 27)

    Ser Godric Lefford

    Godric Lefford

Godric Lefford, son of Harmund Lefford

Godric Lefford is the second son of Harmund Lefford, 2 years younger than Raymar. Like Raymar he is more fond of fighting in battles than directing them, and as the second son he is left more to his own devices: Raymar is expected to rise to the rank of Lord of Golden Tooth and is treated as such, Godric is not. He enjoys travel, and can often appear in unlikely places in the world as a result.

A quiet and sometimes withdrawn man, he had an early love (with whom he fathered a child) but she was a mere commoner, unfit to wed a scion of House Lefford. Still, Godric fought his father, and even attempted to elope with his would-be bride, only to find her dead when he arrived to take her away. He suspects his plot was discovered, and the girl was poisoned. He is distrustful of his family on these grounds and has refused to take a wife, perhaps to spite his father. His bastard son remained in the care of the girl's relatives, Godric funneling them money gained illicitly from his role in dealing with some of the Lefford accounts and ensuring the boy was taught things like riding, swordsmanship and the ways of the world. Edric Hill knows his father, and Lord Lefford knew of the relationship, but tolerated it for as long as Godric keeps it a quiet, unofficial one. With Harmund dead and Godric's brother now Lord, he has been more assertive in bringing Edric into the family, something Raymar has tolerated to an extent.

He was not in the Stepstones campaign, having been rendered ineligible for service due to a temporary horse riding injury.

    Age: 50
    Rank: Son of Harmund Lefford
Marital Status: Unmarried. He has refused all suitors.
    Trait Points: 12

Swordsman (+3 Duels): Godric spends a lot of time sparring with friends and trainers, and has acquired some skill with a sword as a result.
Agile (+3 Survival): Spending a lot of time sparring makes one as good at dodging sword blows as in dealing them. Godric is quick on his feet and is able to dodge attacks aimed at him.
Mathematics (+3 Income [15%]): Godric has learned the ways of working with coin due to his good grasp of mathematics, something he inherited from his father.
Second in Command (+3 Logistician): Godric is more and more having to assist in the military affairs of Goldentooth now that Harmund has passed on. His most common job is that of logistics.

    Edric Hill

    Edric Hill

Edric Hill, bastard son of Godric Lefford

Born of an affair between Godric Lefford and a smallfolk mother who died when he was very young, Edric spent much of his life raised by his aunt and uncle, being visited semi-regularly by his father. The relationship was forbidden by Godric's father Harmund, but Godric was able to see his son often enough and was able to channel money to the boy's adoptive family to ensure they could keep him. In addition, Godric quietly arranged for lessons in horse riding, swordsmanship, reading and writing, and martial affairs.

Edric thus grew up learning much of what a squire might learn, but never having the opportunity to be knighted himself. As the Tourney of Lannisport was announced, Godric had fierce arguments with his now Lordly brother Raymar, attempting to use the Tourney to bring Edric closer to the family in a more official capacity. Relenting at last, Raymar agreed, but Edric found himself outmatched by far better armed and more experienced foes on the day, being able only to push his way through the qualifying rounds to reach those matches watched by high nobles and the King himself before being knocked out in the early stages there.

With what prize money he'd acquired working up to that stage, plus some funds Godric had been able to save for him, Edric declared he wished to follow the martial lifestyle fully. Lord Raymar would not have him in the Lefford household guard or men at arms, so he recruited a small band of sellswords and set out into the world, looking to see whether he might find patronage elsewhere in the world, away from home and from the family that now only barely tolerated him, but still did not quite accept him.

    Age: 27
    Traits: 7
    Martial status: Unmarried

Sword training (+2 Duels): Edric was taught swordplay by a retired knight living in his village, paid for via the funds Godric was able to channel towards Edric's education.
Hardy (+2 Survival): Sword training and a life working the family fields has made Edric hardy and capable of defending himself.
Lived on the land (+1 Logistician): Edric knows a lot about fields, forests and rivers, having grown up working them.
Good eyes (+1 Scout): A keen eye for the land makes Edric somewhat skilled at scouting for larger forces.
Martial instruction (+1 Battles): Educated by a retired Knight, Edric knows something of battles and how they're fought.

    House Tyrell

    Mace Tyrell

    Lord Paramount Mace Tyrell

Mace Tyrell, Lord Paramount of the Reach

Mace Tyrell is the eldest male of House Tyrell, after his father and two brothers died in the War of Ninepenny Kings and the subsequent rebellions. Those wars broke the back of the Reach, with the victorious King Aerys II forcing Mace into warding with House Caron in the Stormlands while the Reach was run by a Castellan. In the meantime the western Reach was sundered from Highgarden's authority: the Hightowers, Florents, Redwynes and the families of the Shield Isles were detached from their oaths to Highgarden until Mace came of age.

The boy is bitter and angry at his fate, something he had no true control over: his elders took the Reach into unsuccessful war after unsuccessful war. The punishment fell on him when those cowards fled rather than face the consequences of their folly.

One day he will return to the Reach. One day he will set right the many wrongs inflicted upon him, by those within and outwith the Reach.

    Age: 22
Rank: Lord of Highgarden, Lord Paramount of the Reach

    Traits: 6
Swordsman (+10 Duel [+1 traits, +1 retinue, +4 Weapon, +4 Armour]): Like all noblemen, Mace is taught swordplay.
Nimble (+8 Survival [+1 traits, +1 retinue, +4 Weapon, +2 Armour]): Being trained in duelling allows Mace to both stay fit and learn how to protect himself.
Wealthy (+4 Wealth [+1 traits, +3 retinue]): The Reach is vast and lucrative. The Tyrells know how to leverage this.
Articulate (+4 Charisma [+1 traits, +1 fruits, +1 regional bonus, +1 retinue]): Though only a boy, Mace is well educated and confident.
Rider (+1 Joust [regional bonus]): Mace is familiar with horse riding and the use of a lance.
Military Advisor (+3 Battles [+2 traits, +1 retinue]): Mace is advised by a seasoned commander of soldiers.
Military Advisor (+1 Rearguard [retinue]): Mace is advised by a seasoned commander of soldiers.

    Equipment: Partial Plate, Bastard Sword

    Auxes:
    - Olenna Redwyne, Mace's mother. Age 49. At Highgarden.
    - Jenna Tyrell, Mace's sister. Age 19. At Highgarden.

    - Lady Cimbre Footly, Mace's wife
--- Roslin Tyrell, age 5 (born to Mace aged 17)
--- Moryn Tyrell, age 4 (born to Mace aged 18)
--- Falia Tyell, age 3 (born to Mace aged 19)

    Ser Geralt Gardson

    Ser Geralt Gardson

Ser Geralt Gardson, Castellan of Tumbleton

Ser Geralt is from one of the many minor knightly Houses sworn to House Tyrell: House Gardson rule over a collection of villages from a modest keep upriver from the city, and have a long history of supplying a knight and some men at arms for their masters during times of war. Ser Geralt was chosen from the many Knightly Houses that Mace Tyrell had to pick from due to his astute stewardship of his lands, where Ser Geralt has overseen construction in his villages and improvements to the fields to improve crop yield and economic activity, making his fief among the wealthiest of those around the city. It was for this reason Mace sent him to Tumbleton instead of a more martially-minded vassal.

Ser Geralt has a family, with a wife from one of the other Knightly Houses, two sons, and three daughters, two of whom have been married away already. His eldest son is a Knight in his own right while his second son is squiring with a Knight serving in the Order of the Rose.

    Age: 53
    Traits: 12

Fiscally Minded (+3 Wealth): Ser Geralt is among the most economically minded of House Tyrell's minor vassals, making him the ideal choice to serve as Tumbleton's Castellan.
Martial (+3 Duels): As a veteran knight, Ser Geralt is more than capable of defending himself in combat.
Battle hardened (+3 Survival): Ser Geralt has fought in all of the Reach's recent campaigns, and has emerged alive from several major battles as a result.
Knightly (+1 Charisma): Ser Geralt carries himself well, having received an education in culture and chivalry.
Campaigner (+1 Logistician): The art of logistics is an important one, which Ser Geralt learned well while on the many campaigns for the Reach.
Outrider (+1 Scout): Ser Geralt has been in command of the pickets and outriders in previous campaigns, giving him some appreciation of their use.

    Equipment: None.

    Auxes:
    - Lady Zia Manders
    --- Ser Tanton Gardson (adult)
--- Lady Gwyneth Gardson (adult, wed to a minor Knightly House near Highgarden)
--- Lady Ella Gardson (adult, wed to a minor Knightly House near Highgarden)
--- Uthor Gardson (squiring to a Knight in the Order of the Rose)
--- Mia Gardson (still lives with Geralt and Zia)

I wanted to give Luthor the pathfinder trait as a joke but reason reasserted itself.

    House Tyrell
LORD LUTHOR TYRELL, Lord Paramount of the Reach
    Age: 30
    Skills:
    - Survival - 2
    - Duel - 2
    - Joust - 3
    - Charisma - 3
Biography: The firstborn son of Lord Oscar Tyrell and his lady wife Ella Florent, Luthor was always a strong lad, making only a plaintiff noise when he was forced from his mother. Growing up was something which appeared to come naturally to the boy, learning to walk and talk without issue. His unnatural immunity to even the most widespread of minor illnesses was often put down to his growing strength, and not the various concoctions which he had the household maester provide him for most of his childhood years.
As a youth Luthor was page and eventually squired for Lord Cleos Stokeworth, a position which kept him close to the capital and his betrothed, Princess Shaera. This proximity did not, however, favour the young man. He was present at the court when he was informed of the union between Jaehaerys and his future bride, a calamity made doubly shocking by the prince's breaking of his own betrothal to Lady Celia Tully. His young pride wounded and his father furious, Luthor was quickly brought back to Highgarden.
Once more in his home, Luthor was tutored by many of his father's most respected knights, learning the skills necessary to lead from the front. While he could not grasp the greater arts of strategy, or the balancing act of dealing with the treasury, none could argue that he was not a charming or physically impressive lord. He was eventually married to Olenna Rredwyne, another Reach noble refused the boon of marrying in to the royal family. Their shared dismissal of the Targaryens has seen to it that they have had a fairly good relationship thus far, some going as far as to say that there is love growing between them.
When the king finally decreed that it was time to bring the Band of Nine to heel, Lord Luthor declined to offer any meaningful support to the army assembled. Instead he made his apologies, claiming that the well fare of his infant children needed to come before personal glory. Whether or not this truly was the reason for his refusal to provide Highgarden's knights, Lord Luthor has been contented even as the remnants of Lord Ormund's army crept back to Westeros.

GARTH TYRELL, Lord Seneschal of Highgarden
    Age: 23
    Skills:
    - Battle - 2
    - Logistician - 2
    - Joust - 1
    - Wealth - 2
    - Charisma - 1
Biography: The cultured brother, even considering the reputation of his ruling brother, Garth Tyrell was the joy at the end of a series of miscarriages. Many remarked that his birth rekindled the love and affection his parents had for one another, something the older servants would often thank him for. He grew up under the tutelage of House Tyrell's most well-paid suitors, taking to numbers and reports even before he truly understood what they were. As a young boy Garth was never far from his home, discussing the daily duties of the maester and stewards as he pretended to understand every long word they said. While he was often unable to make these people happy at his attention; his incessant demands for more knowledge, and an uncanny knack for enquiring at the most troublesome of times meant that when he left for the household of the Rowans, there were a lot of soft sighs.
As a ward in Goldengrove Garth found himself tried with a high degree of respect, allowed to assist the master of the horses by cataloging the various breeds after every transaction. He later went on to squire for Lord Rowan's aging brother, the knighthood which he gained from it more an afterthought. Instead, Ser Rowan taught the boy how to manage, watching instead of listening, reading instead of asking. While in later life it would be shown that Garth was not the finest strategist or manager, he was far better equipped for it than his siblings.
Returning home as soon as he was knighted, the second brother found himself taking on the responsibilities of managing the household for his elder brother. A demanding task for a man as young and inexperienced as himself, Garth found himself with less and less time to consider other aspects of lordly life.

    MORYN TYRELL, Knight of Highgarden
    Age: 19
    Skills:
    - Battle - 2
    - Scout - 2
    - Joust - 2
    - Charisma - 1
Biography: The last of Lord Oscar's children to reach adulthood, Moryn marked the end of the strong relationship between Lord Tyrell and Lady Ella Florent. Born shortly before the breakdown between the King and his Lord Paramounts, Moryn was brought in to a world that seemed to be moving towards peace and prosperity. Handsome, even with his mother's ears, the young noble became the center of attention for much of Lady Florent's ladies-in-waiting, moreso even that her firstborn. Initially this attention was well received, both Moryn and his mother enjoying the time spent together. However, with Aegon's children defying their father, the relationship broke down.
Insulted by the broken betrothal, Oscar made certain to withdraw his ample presence from the royal court, leaving a great swathe of lost influence to be replaced by a dozen minor lordlings from the Vale and Westerlands. With his eyes once more focusing on home as opposed to the capital, Oscar threw himself in to the running of the Reach. He spent months traveling between his many bannermen, keeping only a small retinue and bringing many of his own supplies as to not over burden them with his presence. The Lord eventually took Moryn away with him, an act which started the collapse of the good ties between Oscar and Ella.
Moryn squired for his father, even as he grew old before his time, taking to drink and unsupervised duels as the realm moved on without his family's influence within the court. When the Florents threw up a fuss over tithes it was Ella Oscar took his anger out on, an act which urged Moryn to take a stand against the man his father was becoming. The resulting fight saw Oscar loosing a hand, an act he would later boast was lost during the rebellion of the three men known only as "the Rat, the Hawk and the Pig," a rebellion rumoured to have been financed by the lord himself, which would have explained why he was there at the time.
When his father died, Moryn was knighted by his eldest brother. Having learned to love riding from his days following his father across the Reach, Moryn has proved himself, despite his young age, at being well suited to hunting down criminals fleeing from the Tyrell's judgement.

    Lord Commander of the Kingsguard
HARLAN GRANDISON, Knight of Grandview, Lord Commander of the Kingsguard
    Age: 49
    Skills:
    - Battle - 2
    - Duel - 3
    - Joust - 3
    - Survival - 2
    - Assassinate - 2
Biography: Born a second son, Harlan grew up with all of the opportunity open to a noble scion of House Grandison without all of the pressures of becoming the new lord. Even then, Harlan was the favourite of his father. For the first few years of his life the second son did not have to compete with his older siblings for their father's attention. Harlan grew up to adore his father, likening him to a best friend more than a true figure of authority. This had a negative impact later on in life as Harlan had not truly been taught how to act or behave in a manner befitting one of the landed gentry. Indeed, when it came for him to be sent off to squire for Ser Cedric Swyft, Harlan was well known for his thievery and outright lies.
He initially believed that Cedric Swyft, an old man even before Harlan was handed over to him, would have spent the few years remaining to him within the lands of House Swyft, confined to the limits of Cornfield itself if anything. Indeed it came as a shock for the youth to find that Cedric was as mobile and energetic as the child himself if not moreso. Instead of willing away their time training in the castle courtyard, the duo traveled from keep to keep, finding work where they could. This life, that of a glorified hedge knight, did not sit well with Harlan for the initial years. Cedric was well respected among the nobles whom he worked for, a representative of House Swyft assisting their neighbours in dealing with bandits, criminals and land disputes in exchange only for a few coins and food to keep them going.
Eventually, after a relentless barrage of requests, Cedric agreed to take his growing squire to the crownlands. Along the way they entered in to small
tourneys, Harlan only riding against noble cousins, hedge knights and fellow squires. However all of this changed when the Blackfyre Pretenders landed in 218AC. In the resulting conflict Cedric was slain. Harlan, on the other hand, was given his spurs by Prince Maekar himself and accepted in to his personal household. For the remainder of the Prince's life Harlan followed him. During the Storming of Starpike Harlan tried to protect his liege from the rebel crossbolts, however only succeeded in being incapacitated himself. Although he failed in his attempts at protecting the king, Maekar's son and heir, Aegon Targaryen, was informed of the Grandison knight's bravery. After his own coronation and giving the knight time to heal, Aegon asked the man if there was anything he wished as repayment for his loyalty to the fall king. Harlan asked to take the oath of the kingsguard.
Although overshadowed by the living legends around him, Harlan proved himself a capable fighter, experienced in the daily clash of arms seen in bandit raids and open battle. While his swordsmanship is not song worthy, his ability to put to shame many talented warriors kept him living while the others died.
When King Jaehaerys ordered the realm to war, Harlan remained behind in the capital with three of his brothers. The other three, newly appointed Lord Commander Gerold Hightower, wise Ser Jon Frey, and the fierce Winged Knight Mark Staunton were dispatched to represent the king as part of the army. With their deaths at the hands of the Blackfyre Pretenders, Ser Harlan was promoted to the rank of Lord Commander. He barely had any time to react to the news before his king was found dead. With the new Targaryen king installed in King's Landing, and the Blackfyres landing in force at Storm's End, Harlan found his loyalties being tested. On the one hand he had faithfully served two Targaryens, and on the other was his inability to go long without trying to win something over his peers through deceit.

    House Tully: Family, Duty, Honor

    Lord Hoster Tully
    Age: 40
Bio: Lord Paramount of the Riverlands, older brother of Brynden "Blackfish" Tully, Head of House Tully. He pledged his forces to the King for the upset at the Stepstones when he suddenly and mysteriously retreated his forces. Some say he was injured in battle, some say he laughed and mocked the Kings troops before leading his troops away, others say he never even made it to the front. Still, he now sits at Riverrun and has not been seen by any but family and close friends.

    Brynden Tully AKA The Blackfish
    Age: 35
Bio: Stern younger brother of Hoster, he is known as the warrior of the two. He took a troop of men out with the Baratheons and fought next to Ormond before his fall. Brynden was cornered nigh the end of the battle and slipped out between enemy forces.

    Tully Tikes
Criston Tully, Axel Tully, Myles Tully, Warrick Tully as children

Inseparable at a young age, the four Tully Tikes did everything together. Criston Tully is the youngest, a gentle boy with a heart of gold, at a young age many thought he would never develop into a serviceable soldier. Myles and Axel are twins with a near telepathic understanding of each other. Then there is Warrick. He was very protective of his younger brothers. He was likened to Brynden more often than not, leading to Hoster holding a begrudging dislike for his own son.

    Teen Tully's
    Myles, Axel, Warrick, Criston

    Myles Tully
    Age: 15
Bio: The frequently smiling twin trout, he is an enforcer for his brother Warrick. He is rarely seen without his twin Axel, but is polar opposite of demeanor. He is the favorite child of Hoster, and he epitomizes the Tully name. Question arises in some circles as to the stability of the family because of this, but those that know Myles and Warrick know better. He was with his father during the Stepstones.

    Axel Tully
    Age: 15
Bio: The brazen Twin trout, he is short in chatter and long of sword. Behind closed doors he smiles with his family and his compassion is well known but that is not a face he dons in public. He was with his father during the Stepstones

    Warrick Tully
    Age: 17
Bio: The oldest Tully Teen and heir to Riverrun. He is well known and has a calm demeanor. Growing up responsible for his brothers, he knows the burden of responsibility. His father never treated him as a child nor his heir so he pretends to have an air of indifference toward him. He was with his father during the Stepstones and knows the truth of the retreat.

    Criston Tully
    Age: 13
Bio: As he grew, he grew taller than most. He seemed to always look older than his age and though he still has child like qualities, his uncle turned him into a sponge for a beating. They say that Brynden Tully teared every time he struck the boy but struck him all the same and many times. He stayed at Riverrun during the Stepstones, despite his objections and requests to fight alongside Brynden.

House Hightower is one of the most ancient noble families in all of Westeros, descending from the First Men who ruled the area that would become the city of Oldtown as petty Kings during the Dawn of Days. When the Andals invaded Westeros, the Hightowers shrewdly allied with the newcomers, allowing them to keep their influence, strength and power in what would become the Kingdom of the Reach. As the years passed, the Hightower’s influence and power grew and they slowly became one of the most powerful Houses in all of Westeros. When the Targaryens invaded and the Kingdom of the Reach was destroyed beneath the dragon’s flame, the Hightowers were nowhere to be seen, having refused to join the battle agains the Targaryens. They wisely held their forces out of the war, behind the mighty walls of Oldtown and under the guidance of the voice of the Seven, the High Septon himself, the Hightowers opened the gates of their city to Aegon the Conqueror and spared their city from a gruesome fate, allowing to Oldtown to continue to grow and thrive.

The members of House Hightower rule over the second largest city in all of Westeros and one of its largest and wealthiest of ports, the city of Oldtown. The Hightowers are one of the wealthiest families in all of Westeros, second only to the Lord Paramount of the land of gold, the Lannisters. Members of this House are known for their loyalty and stalwartness as well as their caution and temperance. The Hightowers are devout worshippers of Faith of the Seven and have built many Great Septs in their city to show their dedication to the Seven Faiths. The Hightowers are the patrons of the great Citadel, home of wise and learned Maesters. The current Lord of the House is Lord Godric Hightower.

Rolland is a skilled swordsmen and competent horsemen who had briefly spent a year in Essos officially as the Hightower envoy to Pentos whom the Hightower's were trading with at that point in time. Through his appointment there, Rolland unofficially fought with the Long Lances in several minor skirmishes with them and the Dothraki. It was there, that Rolland was able to hone his fighting skills and master the use of his family's ancestral sword Vigilance. After hearing rumors of the Blackfyre resurgence in the Stepstone Islands, Rolland rushed back to Oldtown on the swiftest ship to prepare himself and his family, bringing with him his Pentosi bride.

Bio: Ser Edwynd Hightower is the son of Lord Godric and the younger twin to Edmund Hightower. Unlike his two elder brothers, Edmund choose a different path of his family, preferring to turn his eyes towards the sea instead of the galantry of the land. He was knighted only because he was forced to as a scion of the Hightower but in truth, the young man is more brigand and pirate then a virtuous servant of the Seven. Edmund has spent much of his time at sea, commanding the pathetically weak fleet that the Hightower called a navy and on occasion, partaking in not so legal activities in plundering a few trade routes here and there for his own personal gain. Having been recalled back to Oldtown at the start of this new Blackfyre conflict, Edwynd is prepared to serve his family in more noble means, albeit with some resistance and loyalties which are not yet known.

    The Princely & Most Ancient
    House of Nymeros-Martell

    Main Characters
    Elinor Martell
    Elinor Martell
    Princess Regnant of Dorne

32 years old (born 228 AC)

    Skills (8 points)
    Wealth +2
    Survival +2
    Assassin +2
    Capture +2

Elinor Martell has a reputation in Westeros for being a reclusive lady, though Dorne's rulers have a historical tendency to stay out of the affairs of others. The reigning Princess however only rarely entertains noble visitors and foreign prelates, and the smallfolk generally would not recognize her face. As a child, she was a bright, loud girl, and well-known and beloved by the court of Sunspear.
    Beren "the Green" Sand
    Beren "the Green" Sand
    Prince Consort of Dorne

46 years old (born 214 AC)

    Skills (11 points)
    Scout +2
    Pathfinder -2
    Logistician +2
    Battle +3
    Joust +2

Beren Sand, Prince Consort of Dorne, was born an illegitimate son of the Ser of Lemonwood, sired upon a Greenblood Orphan's daughter, named Marella. Though anointed as a knight in the tradition and light of the Seven, Beren Sand equally reveres the Rhoynar ways of his maternal forefathers. In his youth, he became renowned as a skilled cavalryman, and caught the eye of the young maiden Elinor Martell.

Today, he is Prince Consort of Dorne, by way of marriage to that same Elinor Martell, who is now the reigning Princess in Sunspear.
    Lewyn Martell
    Lewyn Martell
    Ser of the Kingsguard

28 years old (born 232 AC)

    Skills (7 points)
    Duel +3
    Jouse +2
    Charisma +2

Younger brother of Elinor Martell, the Princess of Dorne, Lewyn Martell is a skilled swordsman in his own right, and had served as Master at Arms in Dorne for many years, until becoming a member of the Kingsguard of Jaehaerys II.

    Doran Martell
    Doran Martell
Heir to the Princedom of Dorne & Squire to Ser Lewyn Martell

13 years old (born 247 AC)

    Skills (4 points)
    Assassin +2
    Survival +1
    Charisma +1

Heir to the Princedom of Dorne, the young Doran Martell is the first child of Elinor Martell and Beren the Green.
Raised primarily at the Water Gardens, he lived for many years as mostly an only child, his first two siblings dying in the cradle.
A few years ago, however, his two younger siblings appeared one after the other, Elia and Oberyn.

Now, he serves as a squire to his uncle, Lewyn, who is a knight of the Kingsguard. Lewyn is on orders to not only train and teach Doran, but also to find Doran a potential betrothal while in the King's court.

Auxiliaries - Elia Martell, 4 years old (born 256 AC)
    - Oberyn Martell, 3 years old (born 257 AC)
