    BTW: Any delayed scenes on the campaign map/strat-map in which the music plays before the scenes are shown- is part of a bug when either creating or uploading the videos.

    There are no delayed scenes in-game. The music plays where it should in-game, but unfortunately the music playes before the scenes themselves on the strat-map in the videos.

    However, i seem to have reached an hardcoded limit -after the Ent music were added the music for all the factions just disappeared. I'll guess i'll need to re-plan this now as there is a limit on the number of music types in the descr_sounds_music..

    I think that now i may need to remove some other entries and maybe merge some of the lesser important ones. I may actually remove the Ents as they aren't playable anyway!

    I managed to add the ents music by replacing the unused mesoamerican music-type. But as i want at least four new ones- the Ents will be merged with some other faction before a release.

    New scheme:

    1. Orcs- this includes on the strat-map all the orcish factions, Mordor/Orcs of the Misty Mountains/Shadow of Mirkwood/Remnants of Angmar. They will share their strat-map music with each other. As for battles i will place some of the settlements under the Khazad-Dum music-type. The Khazad Dum music will be changed in battle to fit both the Dwarves and Goblins.

    Mordor, Angmar and Dol Guldur/Mirkwood will share their battle music.

    2. Southmen- consisting of Harad/Rhun/Umbar and Khand -will share all their music.

    3. Northmen- made up of Eriador, Vale of Anduin, Northern Dunedain and Clans of Enedwaith -will share their music.

    4. Ents will be merged with another faction- this is to make room for one new music-type.

    5. Dale and Dorwinion will get the unique Dalian music.

    Now, there is already southmen, orcs and northmen as groups. I will just need to remove tracks i do not want, move some regions to other places for different music to be played in them and lastly add in some new tracks replacing those that i remove.

    The limit is a total of thirteen music types.

    EDIT: The limit is only for Divide & Conquer, as it uses alot of different voice-types and sound files. I looked at Hyrule Total War and it has many more than 13 music-types. I'll try add more and see if it works, as i may have made a mistake somehow.

    Or it's something with this mod that makes the sound disappear after 13 music-types.

    HTW has 22 different music-types.

    Second edit:

    There is no limit of music_types. There is however a limit of music files- which means i need to remove unnecessary tracks as well as maybe combine songs if i reach the limit again.

    Hello guys! Yesterday i worked constantly with this mod- and i must say progress have been made:

    1. I removed all the vanilla M2-songs, plus removed all the full length songs with tracks from various factions blended together in them. This concerned the Northmen, the Southmen and the Orcs music-types.

    2. I added four new music-types, namely mordor, goblins, angmar and guldur.

    3. I tried using the same orcs music-type for all of them and that worked without problems. This Orcs music-type consisted of the already in-game orcs-music minus all the tracks i didn't want for them. It was a pretty good set-up if i was to just have the Orcs as one type - but plans changed.

    4. I added in new music entries unique for each faction using mostly what was already in game - and have now finished two more factions yesterday - Mordor and Orcs of the Misty Mountains.

    I must say that Mordor is in need of more strat-map music -which will be taken from what's already in game after i have finished Angmar and Dol-Guldur. But their battle-music is spot on. Expect Mordor to unleash it's full wrath in the battles going forward!

    What about the Goblins/Orcs of the Misty Mountains then? Yes, they have gotten their faction specific music also as stated above. And i must say it is pretty good in the strat-map. I wasn't a fan of the new trilogy but the music is spot-on even in that trilogy. I didn't think the Goblin music would be as good as it actually was - as i hated how they childified the movies, and used too much CGI. And the battles? Well, Orcs of the Misty Mountains brings to the evil factions the feel of the new trilogy at it's best. I'll say i was very pleased with their battle-music.

    And remember guys, i don't use full tracks and simply put songs in the game - i spend hours upon hours chosing the very best parts from a track, specifically belonging to a faction- removing every other faction from the song- and then add these short clips on-top of each other. This creates a new feel special for that faction. And it also avoids using full scores and going too far. I'll admit though that some songs are in the mod since before my work- and they may be full length or they may not as i haven't touched those. Mostly i have shortened songs down. The point is not to rip off full songs, it's obviously to create a faction specific music-sub-mod.

    And in this light- people will not be getting any full tracks from me. I'll combine smaller pieces and create new original tracks made out of the old tracks. Cutting and pasting together different parts of different songs from different soundtracks. Tonight i will finish Angmar, Guldur and possibly the Southmen.

    I am going to do the evil_men next - and that is made up of Corsairs of Umbar, Haradrim Tribes and Rhun. Then i will make sure the Variags of Khand will be a little different. When that's done i will make Dale/Dorwinion and they will share music.

    Edit:

    1. Evil Men and Variags of Khand done!

    2. Shadow of Mirkwood and Remnants of Angmar do have unique music also, and the first one has parts of the Dol Guldur themes while the second has Gundabads plus some bonus ones.

    3. Evil Men has a few new tracks- but mostly i have just split the southmen music between Khand and the Evil Men-factions.

    Dale/Dorwinion has unique music that they share, Bree Land and the Shire has unique music, Northern Dunedain has unique music, shares one battle song with Isengard/Dunland, and one with Khazad-Dum, Vale of Anduin has mostly unique music- but shares some tracks with Bree Land and the Shire i think, and lastly Clans of Enedwaith has unique music on the stratmap- but they do share some of their other music with Isengard/Dunland. Some tracks are unique though.

    EDIT: Size of the sounds-folder have become smaller.

    Thanks . No problem man- it will only be compatible with DAC as mentioned above. MOS doesn't have half of the regions or factions that DAC has.

    The release might actually take some days, as the videos takes a long time to create, upload on youtube and process!

    The sound may be a little ahead of the scenes in the videos- this isn't the case in-game -but the movie maker can't create videos without the sound and video getting messed up.

    Please come back and check this post for updates, as i will be posting more videos in this post as soon as they are available.

    New posts will only happen once a day or something like that.

    The Ents aren't supposed to be playable so they don't have that many strat-map songs. They have like two - but in battle they are more varied.

    Windows Movie Maker

    Viewing the videos i just realized the movie maker didn't create the full video of the Ents preview.. It stops in the middle of the battle!! , i don't know why this happened and i did delete the original files, as this haven't happened before.. I don't know, i don't have the will to re-do everything.

    You get a hint anyway- even though some of their music wasn't in the video. Isengard/Dunland won the battle thanks to the Isengard archers and crossbowmen.

    Second edit: The windows movie maker did create a video-file of 21 minutes. But Youtube can't process the second half of the video.

    It will have to do anyway.

    Third edit:

    New Ents Preview on it's way - the battle will be new.

    Hello- i have finally uploaded all the music previews on my Youtube channel!

    As the Northern Dunedain were too repetitive in battle at first- i did choose to re-work it a little. I also realized that some of the regions previously set for Gondor and other factions are wrong now, as for example an Angmar-region were placed under Mordor -and a Variags of Khand-region was placed under Gondor.

    I will have to playtest all the uncertain regions on the map using a walk-cheat. We don't want Gondor's music to play in Khand territory or Mordor music in Angmar etc.

    When i am done playtesting everything and fixing wrongly placed regions, then i will upload the new SUB-MOD.

    For those three who i already sent the "finished mod" to - see it as a beta, because the final release will have a better Dunedain, a better Eriador and fixed regions that currently are wrong for some factions.

    Below you will have the new Previews in the meanwhile:

    Kingdom of Dale/Vale of Dorwionion - This is one of the absolute best ones -(Viewing Restrictions: Canada):



    Bree-Land and the Shire - This is very good in my opinion -(Viewing Restrictions: Canada):



    Northern Dunedain - Obviously i wasn't pleased at first, but this remade version is very good -(Viewing restrictions: NONE!):



    Vale of Anduin - I thought it would suck, but it turned out to be one of the best! -(Viewing Restrictions: NONE!):



    Clans of Enedwaith - As good as can be expected of the final one -(Viewing Restrictions: NONE):



    Enjoy the new previews, and plz do tell me what you think about each one - which one is best and not so much?

    I'll correct the faulty regions-entries now - and then after that i'll just have to decide where to upload it.
