Icon9 How do I stop M2TW clashing with other TW games?

About a month ago, I was flooded with nostalgia when I realised that I still had my disk version of M2TW and not the disgustingly broken Steam version. I installed it, and after finally getting the unpacker for two of the expansions (don't ask how, can't remember), I ran the game.

I had a ton of fun, and it worked absolutely fine. I had the best TW experience in a long time.

Then, I bought Rome on steam since my disk version didn't seem to want to install. I installed it without issue (only £1.74 for RTW, BI and Alexander!!), and started a campaign.

Later, when I went to run M2TW, it had some error code and a message saying that my OS is incompatible. Weird. Windows hadn't updated recently, and I'd ran M2TW fine only a few days ago on Win10.

I read it up, and I saw quite a few people saying that it was because M2TW clashes with other TW games, even though I'd ran Empire and Napoleon from Steam and M2TW (installed after Emp and Nap) ran fine, but only Rome (installed after M2) seemed to cause an issue- How do I get it to not clash??

TL;DR: halp RTW is breaking M2TW, how do I get M2TW to stop clashing with Rome?

I personally haven't heard of this issue. Have you tried reinstalling Medieval 2?
